Watch London buses moving towards your stop in realtime. Using the TfL live bus countdown data we work out where each bus heading to your stop is currently located. We then show you on a map where the buses are. Each bus icon on the map shows the route number and the number of minutes it is due at your stop. Watch as they move towards your stop! Its one USP is the ‘live map’ purportedly showing you the location and progress of your awaited conveyance. In reality it does little of the sort. When you locate the bus in question it almost certainly isn’t where the map shows it to be. This is because the update interval is several minutes (like four or five). So you stare fixedly at the screen and wait and wait and wait and then suddenly it moves across the screen to a stop that is miles from where it last was. It skips all the stops in between. Then, amusingly, it finally arrives at your stop (on the screen at least) but where’s the actual bus? So you peer down the road and after a couple of minutes it lumbers towards you. There is no practical point to this app, it simply doesn’t do what it should do. At the very least the update interval must be no more than a minute or a minute and a half. I’ve given one star above the minimum because it does provide an amusing distraction while you’re waiting. Must do better. ### 2/5 — Update *2024-05-24* Guys we need an update software. 4yrs old now. Can we keep up the modern times. Was working few days ago and now it’s not pin point my location and time of arrival of buses. ### 1/5 — Bizarre results *2019-12-24* For example, shows a bus AT the stop saying it is 6 minutes away (time on the bus and in the box). There seems to be a 30 second lag between times on the bus and in the box - which one is correct? All apps are dependent on the accuracy of TfL information, but this one is so vague as to be useless. This app needs a LOT of improvement to make it useful.
