## What is LoneStar Fleet?

LoneStar Fleet is a driver companion app for fleet operators using the LoneStar logistics platform. Drivers sign in with employer-issued credentials to manage assigned shifts, navigate to route stops in real time, capture campaign placement photos, and have their location reported to dispatch while a shift is active. The app is restricted to authenticated employees and partners — public sign-up is not available.

Why LoneStar Fleet uses background location

LoneStar Fleet collects precise location in the background only after a driver explicitly taps "Start Shift" inside the app, and stops the moment the driver taps "End Shift." Before the permission is requested, the app shows an in-app disclosure that explains exactly what is collected, when, and why.

Background access is required because ad-truck campaign routes typically last 4–8 hours, during which the driver's phone is dash-mounted and the screen is off or showing navigation. Foreground-only location would stop tracking the moment the screen locks, breaking the route-verification feature that fleet operators and advertisers depend on to confirm campaign delivery.

Drivers stay in full control:
• Location is never collected before a shift is started or after a shift is ended.
• A persistent foreground-service notification is shown the entire time location is active, with a one-tap "End Shift" button.
• Location data is used solely to verify the contracted advertising route was driven — never for advertising, profiling, analytics, or sharing with third parties.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-21

• Redesigned driver screens — a clearer path through your shift, stops and proof capture, with the actions you need mid-shift always in reach.
• New capture-then-review step — check your photo before it is submitted, rather than it being sent the moment you take it.
• More reliable uploads — proofs queue offline, retry on their own and survive an app restart, so a lost signal doesn't cost you a submission.
• Arabic language support, with right-to-left layout.
• Accessibility and readability — higher contrast on buttons, larger tap targets, corrected dark-mode text, and reduced-motion support for looping animations.
• Pull-to-refresh across the app, clearer upload progress, and a show-password toggle at sign-in.
• Haptic feedback on photo, upload and shift actions.
• Maps now show a legend matching the markers on screen, with OpenStreetMap attribution.
• Admins can paste a list of addresses to build a route in one step, and editing a route no longer clears its saved stop coordinates.
• Fixed: the keyboard no longer covers text fields.
• Stability and dependency updates under the hood.

### 1.0.7 — 2026-07-24

• Fixed: editing a route no longer clears its saved stop locations, so route maps and nearby-stop alerts stay accurate.
• Fixed: saving a route without making changes no longer rewrites its stops.

### 1.0.6 — 2026-06-15

This update fixes a couple of issues drivers and admins ran into:

• Add-stop reliability: drivers can now add an ad-hoc ("other") stop during an active shift without the name field clearing as they type.
• Shift scheduling: a shift can no longer be started before its scheduled day, so future campaigns aren't started early by mistake.
• Maintenance: dependency and performance updates under the hood.

### 1.0.5 — 2026-06-11

Multi-day campaigns: create campaigns that span a date range, with per-day driver, time, and timezone scheduling.

New onboarding: drivers and clients can now be invited via secure magic links, and reset their own passwords with the new Forgot Password flow.

Edit Campaign: admins can now edit an existing campaign in place - name, dates, status, client, drivers, and route - instead of deleting and recreating it.

Admin improvements: the user-activation toggle now works reliably, and quick-add user forms are fully scrollable so the submit button is always reachable.

Plus a platform upgrade and a range of stability and reliability fixes.

### 1.0.4 — 2026-05-15

• Create new client organizations directly from the admin app, including a quick-add shortcut from the Create Campaign screen.
• Drivers can now skip or reorder route stops, and changes persist if the app is closed and reopened mid-shift.
• Admin campaign detail now shows the number of skipped stops per campaign.
• Editing a route used by past shifts is now blocked to protect completion and photo history; renames and other safe edits still work.
• Deleting a campaign now cleans up its photos from storage automatically.
• Per-campaign Driver Wage is now visible on the driver app.
• Admins can add, edit, and delete campaign cost line items.
