Experience virtual reality in X-Plane without any additional hardware! Prop your iOS device running LookAround - Sim under your monitor and your head movements are magically reflected in X-Plane. 

Want help lining up the runway when turning to final? Simply rotate your head towards to the runway!
Want to look at the beautiful mountain range on your right? Just rotate your head to the right!

LookAround - Sim uses face tracking to let you look around in X-Plane simulator hands-free. Extremely simple setup:
- Download LookAround - Sim on your iOS device.
- Run X-Plane on your computer and start a new flight.
- Verify your iOS device is connected to Wifi and on the same network as your computer running X-Plane.
- Launch LookAround - Sim and it will auto-magically discover X-Plane! No need to figure out IP addresses and ports!

LookAround - Sim is free to to download to try Roll tracking - tilt you head sideways and watch it reflected on your simulator. Yaw and pitch tracking can be enabled through a simple one time In-App purchase. 

LookAround - Sim requires X-Plane 10.40 and above. Head Roll tracking is only supported with X-Plane 11 and above.

For optimal setup, try to place the iOS device and your Wifi router as close as possible. Additional, having a wired connection from your Wifi router to the X-Plane computer also helps with minimizing latency and delays.

MacStudio M1 latest Sonoma and iPhone 15 ProMax, I am one happy camper. Connecticut within 30”. No futzing around with ports, UDP’s, complex smoothness settings, crashes. I don’t have X-camera so I get no interference from it. For 10$ it’s a gem AFAIC. RIGHT OUT IF THE BOX. As always, YMMV

I tried this on both a 1st gen iPhone se, and an iPhone 11. The iPhone se wasn’t useable, but the iPhone 11 worked well, with one exception. 

The popular plugin x-camera (when enabled) won’t let this app control the camera.  Hopefully with an update to either app the issue will be resolved, but it has been a long time waiting for a possible fix.

I was looking for head tracking solutions for X Plane 11 and this works amazing! I hope you don't stop working on the app, cause it's an amazing technology, Im testing it on my iPhone 8 Plus and without any configuration it works out of the box, seriously amazing.

The only thing I can be picky on, is about lag over WiFi, that is like half a second / 1 second but still is fine to have a good simulation experience.
