### 4/5 — Small screen size solution

*2022-12-08*

No iPad version? No landscape mode? This would be a great app if the video playback screen was large enough to see on my iPhone pro max. The iPhone work-around is: Settings / Accessibility/ Zoom. Start the loop. Triple tap three fingers to activate zoom. Quadruple tap screen to set zoom level. This is how to make the details of the tiny video clip available to the eye on the iPhone. Doing all this maybe faster than you imagine. It’s a good app with a triple tap. Very affordable too. I expect to use it a bunch.

### 4/5 — Great App,but could be better.

*2022-04-06*

I use this App on my iPad, not on my iPhone. I mention this as viewing selected videos on an iPad must be done in portrait mode and App should all for landscape mode to utilize the iPads larger screen size. Secondly, I record my one hour to 90 minute music lessons, but when I try and use these videos with Loop2Learn, the compression phase crashes. If it exists, the length of video permitted is had to find and should be extended to 90 minutes. If these two features were included in a future update of the App, then I would give it 5 stars with out reservation.

### 2/5 — One MAJOR downside to an otherwise good product

*2022-02-18, version 1.5*

I like this looper well enough, but I need just a touch more control with setting looping points. To justify the cost I paid for it, I need to be able to set loop points by waveform view as well as simply by the minutes and seconds. Sounds/video clips don’t always neatly fall according seconds, and I can find digital audio workstations that allow a waveform view for cheaper than what I just plunked down for this app. I applaud the YouTube functionality, but other online sites can achieve the same thing for free. I kinda want a refund now.

### 2/5 — Badly in need for an update

*2022-01-18*

Love this app. There’s not much like it. But it only barely works nowadays (2022).

### 4/5 — AUDIO

*2021-05-20*

i want to say you guys have been an amazing app , although lately there have been problems with the audio, when you slow it down it doesn't sound like how it used to (crisp and clean) now it sounds statically and I'm not a fan of it. If you guys would please respond and let me know if you guys can fix this. Thank you

### 2/5 — Really unstable

*2021-04-12*

Great in theory but seems to have so many problems. Picture with no sound unlessyou fickmover to actual youtube then back again to this ap ... for no explicable reason, forgets log in details, then the picture disappears and is replaced with an icon telling me thatvideo is playing with “picture within pucture”. That’s all in the last five minutes.

### 2/5 — Does not have landscape view

*2021-02-21, version 1.5*

I just ordered the app and I deleted it the same day. I like big pictures. The app doesn’t have horizontal view. Even the YouTube video i recorded with landscape view, then I tried to play it in thr app. it didn’t play it landscape, but rather a mich smaller screen, which I don’t like because it’s straining for my eyes.

### 2/5 — Could be much better

*2020-10-13*

The play bar should remain on all the time so play could be stopped quickly, and would be far better if it was movable out of the way when on full screen. Landscape mode would be more useful if it had full controls of start, end, loop and speed.

### 2/5 — Could be so much more!

*2020-08-09*

This could be a useful app. But the developer hasn’t updated it in years. It’s frustrating to use especially on an iPad.

I would recommend the developer to sell the rights to someone who could upgrade and maintain it properly.

My guess is that it was a student’s computer science project.

### 4/5 — Playing back saved.

*2020-03-02*

You do have to listen to the song from the beginning and then it loops. There needs to be more instruction on playing back saved loops.

### 2/5 — Stopped working

*2019-10-06, version 1.5*

This app was very helpful at first but stopped working 5-6 weeks ago. Won't allow me to choose loop times on most videos. Plz fix!

### 2/5 — App Doesn’t Work Anymore

*2019-09-30*

I don’t know what happened, but all of a sudden the time selection drop down for the loop start & end doesn’t work anymore. It’s completely blank.

I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling the app, but no luck. I’m running this on an iPad 5th generation with up to date iOS, so I don’t see it being a device issue.

If anybody has a solution please let me know!

### 3/5 — Loops Not Saving

*2019-08-27*

I paid to be able to save my loops and more often than not when I go back to play it it starts playing from the beginning of the video not where I saved the loop. I often have to go in and reset the loop. So I basically I paid to get the same thing you get in the lite version

### 3/5 — Very basic, missing key functions

*2019-07-21, version 1.5*

1. To delete a loop you need to swipe a saved loop sideways. But this is not mentioned in the tutorial or obvious, I needed to send a message to the developers and ask how to delete. HOWEVER, the developers are VERY responsive and replay within hours.
2. If you are trying to learn a song and you want to loop back a second or two, or perhaps half a second...you can’t. The YouTube auto default for moving back is 15 seconds, which is an eternity if trying to learn a section of a song, and you can’t change the auto playback of 15 seconds. There is a 5 second loop shift feature in L2L, but that is not useful to keep replaying a snippet.
3. Getting to play your saved loops is awkward. You press on a saved loop and it brings up the full video, starting from the beginning. You then need to move the sliding button on the playback bar until the section of you saved loop starts playing, which seems to be a bit of a random process. I suspect this is a YouTube limitation, but still awkward.

There may be better video playback apps, I just have not taken the time to find one. In the meantime this app does the basics.

### 4/5 — Very good but could be better

*2019-05-18*

I use this app for practicing guitar. It’s great to be able to slow down and loop sections, but I have a couple of minor issues with it that prevent me giving it five stars:
- the speed should be a slider instead of selecting preset speeds (eg 0.7x, 0.8x, 0.9x). So you can play videos at more precise speeds (like 0.75x).
- it’s awkward to make loops because you need to input the time manually. Even if you just want to loop the whole video you need to manually input the start and end times - you should be able to just select points in the video - like press a button during playback to start the loop and another button to stop.
- not essential but it would be great to have background playback, so you can lock your phone and still have the app playing through the speakers. I would be willing to pay for this as a premium feature.
If it was cleaned up a bit it would easily be a five star app - as it is, useful and good but not quite there yet, I think.

### 2/5 — Need Landscape for use on an iPad !!!

*2019-03-28, version 1.5*

I, like many here, use an iPad for streaming YouTube video as a learning tool. Not having the ability to use it in Landscape mode is a MAJOR drawback as I have to disconnect my keyboard and find a different stand method not to mention smaller video screen. Secondly, the app appears to only work on the web version of YouTube. In other words it does not appear to work on the YouTube app, which is a much cleaner method for using YouTube.

I love the functionality of the app. If these two items were added, the rating would jump to 5 stars. However without them the use is MUCH less convenient.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work at all time window to loop.

*2023-01-12, version 1.5*

This app didn’t work at all with iOS 16.1.2, it won’t allow me to select a time window to loop. Please provide a refund.

### 1/5 — Loop2Learn

*2021-06-23, version 1.5*

This app needs to be updated. Lots of distortion when slowing the song below about 80%. Also the looping feature is not accurate since I installed IOS14 on my iPad.

### 1/5 — Probleme beim Loopen

*2021-04-21*

There is a short break each time by loading the loop from YouTube , This drive me crazy !

### 1/5 — Invalid Response

*2021-01-28, version 1.5*

I’ve had loop2learn for a while now and really liked it but now when I try to use it I get an invalid response message from YouTube when I try to play song videos to learn the song. HELP!

### 1/5 — Horrible

*2020-07-18, version 1.5*

This has got to be one of the worst apps I’ve yet encountered in the App Store. NOTHING WORKS! The only thing that works is the collection of your $3.00. THATS IT!

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2020-02-06*

Not looping

### 1/5 — Loop2Learn

*2019-11-02, version 1.5*

Didn’t work on my Android so I paid $2.99 to get it on my iPad and it doesn’t work hear either. Can I give it zero stars?

### 1/5 — Doesn’t Work/Hard to Use

*2019-09-16, version 1.5*

I just spent 2.99 on something that doesn’t loop. I followed the tutorial and yet can’t get it to stay on a loop. The loop time resets and it won’t start unless I manually press the button! I’d like my money back!!!!

### 1/5 — Literally doesn’t work.

*2019-08-22, version 1.5*

The buttons are greyed out. They do nothing. Loop button unresponsive. The app simply doesn’t do anything.

### 1/5 — :(

*2018-12-10, version 1.5*

It does not work at all! Worst 2 dollars I have EVER wasted!!

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Works great - easy controls

*2021-10-28, version 1.5*

Glad I gave this a try. Version history indicates last update was 3 years ago, but it works flawlessly on my iPad Pro. I really like that the speed control has 0.1x steps rather than 0.25x as in native YouTube control. So this allows 0.9x, 0.8x, 0.7x etc. speed adjust rather than just 0.75x, 0.5x, 0.25x. The finer speed adjust is great when trying to learn licks off music/instructional videos.

### 5/5 — Wow 👍👍👍👍👍TY

*2021-07-10, version 1.5*

Awesome tool for learning
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

### 5/5 — Simple, But Outstanding !!!

*2020-02-04*

I have seen quite a few negative comments about this app, and all that I can say is, for the naysayers, check your device.

My experience thus far is nothing but pleasurable. This functions as stated and it is very simple to use; additionally, this app gives one the ability to slow down your loop, save said loop with all information and, for the price, this is truly exceptional.

Kudos to the developers for this, well designed and I will update this review if I encounter any issues later.

### 5/5 — Way better than expected

*2019-11-22, version 1.5*

Saved my butt for learning piano from YouTube quick. Working as described. Highly recommend!

### 5/5 — Incredible!

*2019-09-10, version 1.5*

Rock solid stable and correct.

Does not yet perfectly handle subtitles, but a workaround is to first open the video in YouTube app, pause it with the subtitle, open the same video in Loop2Learn, set the correct Start and End points and initiate play, then double click the Home button to cascade apps and swipe right slightly in order to take a peek at the subtitle behind while the audio loops on top.

This could never work if the Loop2Learn app was not rock solid stable and correct on my iPod Touch 6 (iOS 12.4.1).

PRO TIP: Control swipe using finger on background image to push the Loop2Learn image further right for viewing wider subtitles.

### 5/5 — Great app!!

*2018-12-05*

I love this app. I use it everyday. I just wish there was a desktop version! It's very convenient to save songs or sections of songs for later recall. It's worth every penny.

### 5/5 — Great App

*2018-09-15, version 1.5*

This app is perfect for me as a piano student. Thanks for the resource !!!

### 5/5 — Excellent App and service

*2018-06-25*

I got Loop2Learn to help me learn clawhammer banjo. I have an audio slowdowner, but this app does almost everything the audio app does plus provides clear video of the finger positions on the fret board and picking hand. A great learning tool. I emailed a question to the creator and had a reply almost immediately. If I had to choose between this and an audio app, I would choose Loop2Learn.

### 5/5 — Amazing!!

*2018-05-12*

I’ve learned songs quicker and more efficient . To be able to loop and slow down is genius !!

### 5/5 — Great Tool

*2018-05-07*

I’ve been a working musician for 50 years and many of the songs I played I worked up from listening to the artist. Now that I can listen and watch and slow it down in pitch I’m able to much improve my Interpretation of all the great sons I’ve been playing forever. Truthfully most songs go quite well just by using my ear, but when I take those same songs and slow them down and watch every detail, I see how much I’ve actually missed. No matter your skill level this is a great piece in your do your self to try it out.
