LoopMangler is a universal application for iOS and macOS. It can work on iPhone and iPad as well as Mac / MacBook with M1 chip (and later). LoopMangler works on iPhone and iPad standalone, as an Audio Unit or Inter-App Audio module, and supports Audiobus and Ableton Link. On MacOS, LoopMangler can works both as a standalone application and as an Audio unit (AUv3) with DAWs and other hosts that support AUv3 plugins. Уважаю производителя, куплено несколько его разных прог, но в данном случае - полное разочарование. Представляю сколько сил и средств было потрачено, и вроде как в теории должно всё звучать круто; и даже то что на iPhone приходится использовать лупу, чтобы разглядеть элементы управления, хотя можно было бы спокойно сделать крупнее шрифт на кнопках, ну и фиг бы с ним.
Как обычно сначала прохожу по пресетам, чтобы возможности оценить, потом уже начинаю крутить под себя. Но тут просто жесть, впервые такое, чтобы ну ни одного нормального годного хоть для чего бы то ни было пресета, я был в шоке. Можете даже не открывать их, удалить и забыть, ну или просто для примера посмотреть. Но и своего накрутить так, чтобы можно было использовать хоть в чём то или где-то, а не в исследовательских целях мне за неделю так и не удалось. Просмотр кучи видео на ютубе не помогло, да и там тоже у всех аналогичный полнейший отстой получался в их демо, но со словами - «ваааау, как круто»).
Кстати: идея вчистую слизана у Flux от 4Pockets, 5-летней давности, но там реализация по удобству и предсказуемости при весе всего 7Мб и наличия 11 эффектов - Filter, Repeat, Gate, Pan, Delay, Pitch, Tape Stop, Reverb, Bit Cruncher, Reverse and Flanger, которые могут использоваться одновременно. Ну и ценник гораздо ниже.
Короче, кому нужен примерно такой же подход в создании музла приглядитесь к Flux, и это не реклама, мне пох.

I've been playing around with this app for the last few days, and have to say, it's awesome.  As part of a chain thru AUM, it helps make long rolling soundscapes, but like many things instruments, you have to play with them and dig deep to find the right levels of interaction, if you're after a certain sound.   In my case, I've been passing the raw output from Loopmangler as an instrument into Beatcutter and then through Stallarvox for some ambient reverb, and WOW, does it make some impressive soundscapes.  Additionally if used with other sound sources, it can bring subtle or overt extras to the flow of the music.  When interacting with drums patterns, I recommend watching Doug from "SoundTest Room", as he provides some really good pointers.  The UI is really simple, and within a couple of minutes I had a grasp of most of it.  In my opinion, well worth the cost and a really nice addition to my already crowded box of tricks.
