App support leads to poorly designed website that will not load properly. Therefore getting any support is unlikely via this method. Nic ### 4/5 — Surprisingly Good *2014-05-25, version 2.9.1* I'm not a big fan of sequencers but this app puts a unique twist on the concept. It's as if Figure and Loopy had a baby. Would like to see a bit more variety in the notes available. Perhaps scale oriented. Also, the ability to import samples. Overall, pretty darn solid. Highly recommended! ### 3/5 — Landscape mode *2014-05-07, version 2.9.1* Nice App , however require landscape mode since lots of ipad musicians use docks and ipad interfaces so landscape is a must. However having fun using this one ### 3/5 — Love it, but lacking *2013-03-20, version 2.7* The pattern generation concept on a wheel is great. 5 stars on that. It is much easier than a left-to-right square grid because you can easily visualize the symmetry in the pattern. However, if several features were not absent, this would be a terrific app. These missing features are: You cannot alter the velocity or volume of each individual hit. It's all or nothing. Interesting that you have an alternating trigger, but no velocity adjust. Pity. Also the order of the effects chain seems to be fixed, and the reverb is first! Sorry, but if I were to choose a place for a fixed reverb effect it would be at the end of the chain, not at the start. That is so that the delayed or repeat effect notes could also go through the reverb. My wish list for this app is, assignable effects chain and velocity edit on individual hits. That would be a huge improvement. ### 5/5 — This is amazing *2012-12-17, version 2.3* This has proven to be one of the best performance-oriented compositional tools. I can get some interesting and seemingly endlessly variable results every time I go back to a set-up. The work flow draws me in, and it makes good use of the touch screen's advantages. ### 5/5 — Instant classic *2012-11-20, version 2.3* Every once in a while a piece of software comes along and it is beautiful and original. This is that thing of beauty. ### 4/5 — I'm loving it... *2012-11-18, version 2.3* I bought this a while back and didn't really get into it. I just came back to it and... WOW! Easy to use, great work flow, I'm getting great results, and now that it has audio copy/paste, it's become an essential app for me to use with Beatmaker 2. I'm mostly using it to create loops to drop into songs I build in BM2, but will eventually use it for live performances. It's got enough depth for that, too without a doubt. Will give 5 stars when they fix a bug (freezes if you press the record loop button without a loop running. This needs to be fixed ASAP.) Also, needs background audio to really step up re: working with other music apps on a serious level. And, please add midi export / import. Being able to import my own sounds (aif) into the app makes it into a unique, intuitive sampling instrument and loop controller. The effects seamlessly combined with the ability to swap in wheels and various patterns makes for countless possibilities. Great work, CU, this is a GREAT app. ### 5/5 — At Last *2012-05-26, version 2.3* Every time an audio app gets audio copy, an angel in heaven gets their wings. back in business with this above average production tool noted for simplicity elegance, and now audio utility. what started out with humble beginnings has studiously upgraded into a sample sequencing beast with fx and audio export. great upgrade, the effects controls are fluid and elegantly visual, which seems to be the trademark of this apps unique visual interface. ### 5/5 — Amazing Scope For Creativity! *2012-04-27* This is a very powerful and comprehensive song creator for both live settings and recording purposes. There is amazing scope for creating patterns, but you also have total control over each sound and the final mix. There is a large collection of separate 32 step sequencers that can be easily programmed and then mixed in 4 separate channels. The real bonus is the ability to quickly switch patterns in real time to create amazing compositions. It also has a great selection of effects and even a swing function to create the perfect groove. There is also a sample editor for creating your own unique sounds, and you can even import your own samples. Then you can record your performance and easily export it out to other programs for further recording or mastering. This machine really can do it all and it is incredibly easy to use. ### 5/5 — Idea *2012-03-20, version 2.1* Best program for making rough beats, fun music, simple user face. Needs individual sound on/off and echo in fx tray.. Longer sounds that aren't so high pitched, sustain is what I'm looking for. Other than that I say thank you for a great program. I already have music up on sound cloud. The samples are pretty good and offer a decent variety of sounds. The interface is simple and intuitive, which makes this app stand out from other sequencers. My gripe is that the description states you can "arrange compositions", which I feel is misleading. You can merely manually change each of the four groups of sequences, which doesn't feel like arranging a composition at all. Adding the ability to record the changes live or being able to save an arrangement for playback would better match the description, and add a lot to this app. Overall, this is a great start for this app, but the features don't match the price, and that is regrettably disappointing. Hopefully future updates will fill in the gaps here, but right now buyer beware. ### 2/5 — A clever toy, but a toy nonetheless *2010-08-06, version 0* While the UI is beautifully designed and the concept is well executed, to say this is suitable for "professionals" as well as hobbyists is seriously overreaching. As a long-time musician, this app lost its appeal for me in a matter minutes, and I've deleted it, having wasted $5. Really like the masterclass! Wondering if there is a trick to read all the text instructions? All of the ones that are longer than a few words are cut off. I use it regularly as a loop track for our church praise and worship songs and choir songs. Since I updated to iOS 9.2 it no longer works properly. Each time I create a new project and try to save it, my iPad freezes, then I have to close the app and re-open and re-create. :(. When will an update be available to fix this and re-gain proper compatibility with the latest version of iOS? Also would be nice if it had an option for 3/4 or 6/8 time signature. This is an awesome app I have been using for years and I give it 5+ stars, assuming an update is forthcoming. The constant support has made this a very powerful app; features like sample import and MIDI, have taken this sequencer into a new league, and soon it'll have Audiobus, which has quickly become an incredibly important utility for more serious music makers. Regardless of that, this excellent app can stand on it's own - it's just fun to use. I think the greatest strength of iOS, is that even if you don't know about music theory, sampling, editing, and a hundred other things - you can play and have fun, and create music!
