## What is Loopy Letters School?

Watch a pen movement, trace the model, then try writing independently. Loopy Letters brings US and UK handwriting practice together on iPhone and iPad, and includes French cursive and the school handwriting of eight more European countries.

By default the app follows the device language. Choose the handwriting your child learns in onboarding or Settings:
• US: Traditional, Slanted and Vertical, each with print and cursive, on primary paper with a dashed midline.
• UK: Print, Selected joins and Joined, with alternative f, q and t forms, British-English words and speech, and four-line guides. These models follow handwriting conventions used in England; school schemes vary.
• French: the joined cursive taught in French schools, on Seyès ruling, with French words and speech. In this collection the app is in French and is called Plumélio École.
• Eight more collections, each in its own language and under its own name: Czech and Slovak (Prvopis Škola), Polish (Kaligrafia Szkoła), Hungarian (Íróka Iskola), Austrian and German (Schreibschrift Schule), Italian (Corsivo Scuola) and Spanish (Letra Ligada Escuela).

Practice lowercase and capital letters, numbers, letter pairs, words, warm-up shapes, your child’s name and your own text. The animation demonstrates each model’s movements and joining rules. Stars compare the attempt with that model; they are a guide, not a school grade. Follow your child’s teacher and practice on paper too.

Switch handwriting whenever you need to. The app remembers your style in each one, and each keeps its own stars, notebook, stickers and recent texts. The notebook saves the best writing attempts. Adjust the paper size, left-handed layout, Pencil-only input, sounds, spoken guidance and stickers.

The School edition includes every exercise in every handwriting collection from the first launch, with no in-app purchase or subscription. Schools can purchase app licenses through Apple School Manager. On a shared device, reset progress, clear recent texts and remove the name before another child uses it.

Practice works offline. No accounts, ads or analytics. The name, texts and writing stay on the device and may be included in device backups. External links are behind a parental gate.

Requires iOS or iPadOS 17 or later. Write with a finger, or Apple Pencil on a compatible iPad. Published by druidori s.r.o.; not affiliated with any handwriting program publisher.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-14

New: eight more school handwriting collections, each in its own language and under its own name: Czech and Slovak (Prvopis Škola), Polish (Kaligrafia Szkoła), Hungarian (Íróka Iskola), Austrian and German (Schreibschrift Schule), Italian (Corsivo Scuola) and Spanish (Letra Ligada Escuela). Every exercise is included.

By default the app follows the device language; switch handwriting in onboarding or Settings. Devices that already use the US, UK or French handwriting keep it after the update. Each collection keeps its own stars, notebook and recent texts.

Fixed the scoring of the French “Traits obliques” (slanted lines) warm-up: an exact trace now earns three stars.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-10-10

Loopy Letters is now part of this app, together with French cursive. The app follows your device language; choose US, UK or French handwriting in onboarding or Settings. Every exercise in all three is included. Each one keeps its own stars and notebook.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-10-05

Correction d’un problème qui pouvait déplacer le modèle de la lettre à l’apparition des étoiles ou des conseils. La zone d’écriture reste désormais en place pendant le tracé, et les conseils plus longs restent lisibles.

### 1.0 — 2026-09-25

No release notes.
