But i have messaged through multiple channels question and no one has answered. Also Community needs more work. Hard to find others unless you already know them. Hopefully these are on the future roadmap. Otherwise I am loving the app creating a guide and then going through it. No longer do i need to worry about paper notes and getting them lost. The pattern pdf parser is such a game changer ! Follow instructions row by row, it’s easy and so simple. This app lightens the mental load, for real ! Read and understand a pattern is so simple with it. The Knitting guide looks like a quest line in a video games and so satisfying to complete each task. I love how the app enhances the stats : weekly, monthly and for wip wednesday. It motivates me and satisfies my ADHD brain who loves numbers ! If you don’t love numbers as I am, you can still use the app to help you follow the pattern and count your rows and stitches. I subscribed to unlock every functionnality and that’s worth it ! It is extremely user friendly and is a great way to track projects or create individual row counters (which you can have multiple at a time to count full rows, colorwork, AND repeats at the same time). My favorite feature has been the project guide creation. From the PDF of a pattern, LooseLoop will create a step by step guide to follow where you can track your project time, count rows, and see live how far you’ve progressed in your project by the percentage gauge. "Rewrite" already carefully written, edited, and tested patterns? Teach AI how to churn out AI slop pretending to be knitting/crochet patterns written by actual people? Moreover, the AI function itself is poorly programmed and instead introduces new errors into patterns that have already been checked for such errors prior to publishing. Save yourself and your wallet. Don't get this app. **Developer response:** thank you for raising this - it's something we care about deeply, so we want to address each point properly 💙 on copyright: nothing is taken from anyone. the smart pattern parser only works on a pattern YOU already own or purchased, and it stays fully private to you. there is no training on your uploads, and no data is ever sent back to any models. designers' work isn't collected, shared, or used to build anything - ever. on “rewriting”: the parser doesn't rewrite, generate, or alter a designer's pattern. it simply breaks the pattern you uploaded into clear, trackable steps so it's easier to follow row by row. the designer's actual instructions stay exactly as written. on designers more broadly: this craft and community were built by them, and we'll never use ai to replicate, replace, or profit off their work. it's why we built our own marketplace with 0% fees, so designers keep 100% of their revenue. on errors: if you ever spot a step that doesn't read correctly, please email us - we genuinely want to know and fix it, and your original pattern is always there untouched as the source of truth. LooseLoop exists to make crafting more accessible, never to take from it 🧶💙 ### 1/5 — Money grabber *2026-02-18* The app was really good before it was decided to charge for “smart parsing” allowing AI to create a pattern guide automatically. While the feature is great, you have to pay to use the app, now you need to pay even more to have credits to use this feature, which should be included in the subscription price… ### 1/5 — too much effort and bugs *2026-01-22* If you have a super simple pattern with 100 repeats - great. But as soon as pattern is a little more complex it takes hours entering details - only to then have the buggy app delete steps / change steps / change amounts entered = result unusable instructions. For a paid version there is too many bugs in the app itself and while nice looking it will not be usuable for complex patterns. Shame. ---- Update: the developer response "try it again - we will lock you in directly into subscription again just for you to figure out if the bugs still persist" - No. I spent two days getting into app, adding patterns to then have unusuable instructions because your app was buggy on release. For complex pattern there was no developer response. This is a PAID APP - these bugs were a dealbreaker and you lost the trust - especially at the price point. As far as I know there's no integration with Ravelry, and there are still constant bugs. ### 1/5 — Not tested for larger text *2026-01-03* I would like to say I was able to get beyond the set-up stage. But I couldn’t. The app isn’t amenable to settings of larger text sizes for those of us with vision issues. Therefore the iOS pages do not scroll down to make choices for Skill levels & my ability to use the app ended on that page. Perhaps testing should include larger than 6 pt font? It doesn’t work very well if at all without WiFi, sometimes when you pause the timer and go to unpause it toggles straight back to paused and leaves useless 0m logs behind, and half the time the buttons for the row counter or pdf don’t show up until you reload the app 3 times. Unfortunately most of this started happening after I already paid for a year of it. It’s unfortunate because I love having my stash saved in here and saving info about projects so they don’t get left as endless WIPs when I forget where I left off. **Developer response:** Hi! It is super user friendly and aesthetically pleasing. The only downside is that it drains my battery so quickly and my phone is super hot when using it. Egal ob man nur seine Reihen tracken will, oder die Übersicht bei komplexen Anleitungen bewahren will, die App ist genau richtig. Selbst wenn man sich keine Schritt für Schritt Anleitung erstellen lässt, kann man in den Projekten immer durch einen Klick in das zugehörige pdf gucken und den Überblick behalten. Durch die Möglichkeit seinen Ravelry Account zu verknüfen, spart man sich das doppelte eintragen seiner Projekte und seines Stashs. Außerdem sind die ganzen zusätzlichen Funktionen, wie der Zu-/Abnahmenrechner, das Glossar etc. wirklich praktisch. Quand on débute, compter les rangs et suivre un patron peut vite devenir compliqué. Avec cette application, c’est une vraie charge mentale en moins : impossible de perdre le fil ! J’adore aussi le compteur de temps, qui permet de voir le temps passé sur chaque ouvrage, ainsi que la gestion du stash, ultra pratique. I tried the printing out and highlighting and notes and stitch markers, I did it all but I still emended up forgetting where I was or what the next stitch meant.
