That feature is as important as the camera itself. Lorex has done nothing to resolve the issue. I have sent several family and friends to other camera systems. ### 2/5 — Not reliable *2019-04-03, version 1.1.4* Cameras would send alert to my phone approx 5 minutes after the event. (I have full bar cell coverage). After about 6 months of use, camera would go on the fritz/static and do continuous recording for an hour nonstop every day with no apparent reason why. Now I don’t receive any alerts notifications to my phone nor any other system this app is installed upon. No response yet from customer support (+2mos) ### 1/5 — Notifications stopped working *2018-07-11, version 1.1.4* Update is 12 mo overdue, customer service looses service IDs and pretends to know about nothing - I bought this system not even two years ago and Sun Jan 3018 it stopped working as specified. ### 1/5 — Update *2018-06-08, version 1.1.4* Needs an update to work with iPhone X running iOS 11.4. Two months ago notifications quit coming through on my IPhone!! I need to be notified or I wouldn’t need the camera!! Any answers or solutions???? I’ve had my camera for 3 years and would have given 5 stars, I believe my husband did on his review back when we got them... but no, it would be zero stars if I could, unless someone can help me!! ### 2/5 — Notifications no longer working... *2018-05-03, version 1.1.4* Up until after the New Year (2018), this app worked as it was supposed to. But then it stopped sending alert notifications for the cameras to my phone. I deleted, reinstalled the app. Reset my Lorex main hub/screen unit, reconnected it and nothing. I contacted support via their website, and after more than a month of “a resolution is being worked on...”, no follow-ups at all after that. I doubt anything was actually being done, and after I replied to the last message they sent, they have not bothered to provide any other updates. It’s been 9 months since they last updated the app, I think it’s past due for a proper update to get working again. Otherwise, I don’t have a problem trashing the entire unit and just switching to Blink all around the house. I will not spend money on newer Lorex models when these cameras are still working and serve our needs. Please fix the app. ### 1/5 — App needs updating *2018-04-18, version 1.1.4* It’s a really good product. Unfortunately the app doesn’t stay current. Long delays between updates which causes notifications to stop making the app almost useless. If Lorex would dedicate a team to keeping the app current this is a wonderful product. Stop receiving notifications two weeks ago. I was Finally able to get through to a technical support, only to find out that LorexSD Pro is no longer supported with any Apple products. So here I have a system that is useless to me because I only have Apple products. Please fix. putting in a help ticket equals getting an email 2 months later from you asking wut? I have deleted app and reinstalled. I have reinstalled device and then reinstalled app. How is this a successful product when no notification is sent to your phone letting u know when someone came to your door? ### 2/5 — Needs FFW and rewind options *2017-10-28, version 1.1.4* Really wish it had the capability to fast forward and rewind the events so that you don’t have to sit through 15 minutes of video to try and find what you’re looking for. Also the switching between audio and microphone is very inconvenient. By the time I’m finished talking and put it back on audio to hear what person at the door is saying, they have already spoken and makes for awkward interaction. Also wish that events were sorted with the most recent at the top but instead the oldest is first so you have to scroll quite a ways to get to what you’re looking for to find an event earlier in the day. ### 1/5 — Disappointed Customer *2017-01-01, version 1.0.15* App hasn't been updated since 2014. Does not work with iPad even though product literature advertises this. Camera puts out 720p but can only see it on a tiny screen within the iPad app. Poor and deceiving advertising. ### 1/5 — App is TERRIBLE *2016-04-01, version 1.0.15* This app is absolutely terrible. First, it would not accept a new secure password. Second, it would never connect through my Wi-Fi. Does work hangs up on the same pictures. It will not show movement or notifications. ### 1/5 — Trash *2021-09-20, version 1.1.4* Don’t waste your money on these cameras extremely out dated 6+ years old camera system 2 cameras for 120 dollars and everything looks like it was recorded using a rock Jesus Christ by far the worst. ### 1/5 — Lorex SD Pro App Useless App *2021-03-26, version 1.1.4* Useless App Useless App You can’t watch four cameras on one screen you have to switch one by one it’s crazy and annoying Additional to that you cannot choose zoning motion dedicated ALERTS which end you receive a million ALERTS no one alert telling you name of the camera makes the options useless and anyone you it’s really pics of junk and waste your money and will make you sorry. History records play without sound at normal speed waisted a lot of times and you cannot downloaded on your phone or devices make it that option also useless. Now it won’t send notifications and it won’t let you look at recorded videos. It’s like the videos get deleted. They randomly work one day out of a hundred giving me false hope that this isn’t the poorest device and app support I’ve ever seen. Going to trash whole system and going somewhere that has some smart people creating a simple surveillance since this is 2019! ### 1/5 — Ditto previous review *2018-12-29, version 1.1.4* App stopped working, states Connection failed,no device found. ### 1/5 — Worthless now *2018-11-22, version 1.1.4* Because they have not fixed the app to send alerts to IPhones which it did when I bought the system in 2017. Hope their stock goes in the tank too. ### 1/5 — Not a classy product. *2018-10-31, version 1.1.4* This app quit letting me look at recorded events on my phone but did let me see “live” action on all four channels. So I decided to call tech support and fix my problem. Now it won’t show live action or recorded events. They did offer to give me a 20% discount on an update to a new unit. Not exactly my idea of a fun evening. ### 1/5 — Notifications not working! *2018-09-04, version 1.1.4* Push notifications have stopped working, rendering this system WORTHLESS. A video system absent notifications is like trying to drive a vehicle using the rear view mirror. Lorex, you still advertise this system as having push notification functionality. I love the system itself and have 4 cameras but it appears without updates to the app I will soon be unable to use the entire system with my IPhone. A big expense wasted. Update July 2017: Thank you Lorex for updating the app finally!! I hate to have an investment go to waste and love using the system ### 4/5 — Until last iO update - fixed *2016-03-02, version 1.0.15* Worked pretty well until IO updates in January 2016. Now it is totally a pain you-know-where. Please get it fixed-updated. Pay attention to your customers! I am not getting alerts to my Iphone 6 ### 4/5 — Lorex Camera System *2014-11-01, version 1.0.15* Bought 3 months ago. Instructions say you need 1mb upload but I have century link with 500 k upload and system works fine but a little slower than it would at higher upload speed. Only heartburn I have is it keeps sending me motion detections and fills up the sd card. Appears that it happens whenever temp increases from sun shining thru windows. Also shows in black and white on occasion which I peg as maybe due to slow upload. I receive the alerts, but when I try to review them it states, "no results found"! I can watch live view without any problems. I was even in Puerto Rico and could live view, however, I cannot review playbacks! We have never had any updates or upgrade to support the iwatch.
