I really like the technique system but I do have a few complaints the permanent upgrades feel a bit bland in and weak and like the title suggest is there any way to play a girl character? It’s just a small thing I kind of get it. It’s a deckbuilder (think Slay the Spire) but played on a chessboard! So it’s not just about choosing the right cards but also strategically positioning your character. Movement is a key element - move out of range of enemy attack or lure them into traps - it really adds to the depth of the game. I like the combination of tactical movement combined with deck building. Having some experience before in both genres I was happy to pick up something that could scratch the itch left behind by Slay the Spire, though admittedly not an equal.
