The app is great just needs find my car with map

### 4/5 — Nearly very good

*2026-04-22, version 1.3.5*

Overall this app works pretty well although lacks some functionality and can be a bit slow

### 5/5 — Works very well.

*2025-07-29, version 1.3.0*

Quite easy to use and very intuitive.

### 5/5 — Dr Andrew Norman

*2025-07-02, version 1.2.9*

Works well.

### 5/5 — Great

*2025-05-04, version 1.2.8*

Easy to use and very slick.

### 5/5 — Still lots to do better

*2025-04-01, version 1.2.8*

Why do we need to confirm I want to delete an alert even though I’ve clicked to delete?

### 4/5 — Great

*2025-04-01, version 1.2.8*

But could do with sentry mode

### 4/5 — Basic functions good but could do better

*2025-03-14, version 1.2.7*

It works and works well, especially the digital key. Map/nav is a pain as it default searches for chargers, not addresses.

### 5/5 — It Works

*2025-03-01, version 1.2.7*

It’s works and at the moment it’s free which is a Brucey Bonus 🤣

### 5/5 — High tech

*2025-02-05, version 1.2.6*

But all works perfectly first time

### 4/5 — Good app

*2025-01-27, version 1.2.6*

App works well and connects easily with the car. The app does as what’s expected of it, however this is also down to a paid subscription to Lotus to ensure you have full functionality. Without subscription the functionality is reduced.

### 5/5 — Justin

*2024-09-29, version 1.2.2*

I’m not the best with new technology, but it’s so intuitive even I can work it out! Hats off to you Lotus.

### 4/5 — App

*2024-08-26, version 1.2.1*

App is pretty good, it would be great to have a charge schedule feature. But operates ok. I think the Tesla app is more intuitive presently but it’s functional.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — App Illustration Lost

*2026-05-01, version 1.3.5*

The graphic on the app has disappeared, a real eye sore since early March!

### 1/5 — Money grabbing scam

*2025-11-01, version 1.3.2*

Now that the useful functions have been hidden behind a paywall, you’d be better off with almost any other car brand. Don’t buy a Lotus! This is a shambles.

### 1/5 — Great car, but no app in Cyprus?

*2025-10-07*

Lotus is officially present in Cyprus with showroom and service, but the app is still unavailable here. Why? Even Greece has access already. Please don’t launch physical cars without digital support — it hurts the ownership experience. One button to open the region would make your customers happy. We expect more from a brand built on innovation.

### 1/5 — Won’t allow car to be controlled

*2024-10-12, version 1.2.3*

The app connects fine with the latest car software but won’t allow the car to show in the garage. Reinstalled several times.

### 2/5 — Lot to learn

*2025-10-18, version 1.3.0*

I am sure that Lotus could make make this app so much better Tesla and BMW so much better.

### 2/5 — Not bad

*2025-04-02, version 1.2.8*

Coming from Tesla app, it’s a long way off that. Others have mentioned - it’s 7 buttons to turn on heating, turn it up, turn on heated seats and turn on wheel. Each time you have to wait for it to refresh too - so takes ages.

Scheduled charging now on app. But you have to set departure time to use it. If the car thinks it won’t charge in time, it will start charging before scheduled time. I have cheap electric at 23:30, I don’t want it to charge early or it costs me more.

I have to manually work out when to set departure time, just to commence the charge at 23:30. I choose midday and it usually works.

Why can’t they just have “start charge at X time” no matter what departure time is.

Sure updates will come in time, but som improvements needed.

### 2/5 — Lot to learn

*2025-01-27, version 1.2.6*

I am sure that Lotus could make make this app so much better Tesla and BMW so much better.

### 2/5 — Limited.

*2024-03-19, version 1.1.6*

Like the car in many respects. It’s not finished. Can’t do basic things like timed charge, timed cabin conditioning etc. half baked product and not at all representative of the value of the vehicle.

### 2/5 — Very limited

*2024-02-22, version 1.1.4*

Incredibly limited functionality. I can’t even press a button to open my electronic boot so when it’s raining you get even more drenched. Going from a Volvo app which did everything I needed to this despite spending this level of money is very disappointing. I should be able to click a button to warm the car up with a preset so the steering wheel and seats warm at the same time. Instead you press one button, then another, then another. Come up folks up your game and focus on user experience.

### 2/5 — Inadequate App

*2024-01-13, version 1.1.3*

When you spend over £100,000 on an EV you should expect a quality tech app. The useabilty is limited. It can’t locate my car. It can’t schedule charging. The remote climate settings are primitive. Very disappointing

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Great app

*2026-08-29, version 1.3.8*

Excellent

### 5/5 — As good as Tesla now

*2026-08-19, version 1.3.8*

Coming from a Tesla, I was fully prepared for the Lotus app to be a disaster. Surprisingly, it’s actually really good.
I've had a couple of instances where charge scheduling didn't trigger properly, but that's more likely an issue with my home wall box than the car itself. Remote features like digital key sharing have worked seamlessly every single time.
The frequent software updates keep making the car better over time, and it really feels like Lotus has ironed out all the early gripes.

### 5/5 — Eletre R

*2026-06-29, version 1.3.6*

So far im very impressed with this car can only describe it as epic

### 5/5 — Better than the Porsche connect app

*2026-06-24, version 1.3.6*

I had to wait for my log book to return then simply gave lotus the car purchase and log book details then bam , sorted just installed the lotus car app signed in and all controls for the car on my phone , really great I can now cool the car and the seats just using the app , great during this heatwave .

### 5/5 — Great car - great app

*2026-04-06, version 1.3.4*

Basic but good app, amazing car (Eletre R).!

### 5/5 — Justin

*2026-03-31, version 1.3.4*

I’m not the best with new technology, but it’s so intuitive even I can work it out! Hats off to you Lotus.
