The list of cards in the help section describes the Prince card as “lose if discarded”. 
This is incorrect.  
It should say “choose someone (including yourself) to discard and draw a new card”

Love Letter is one of my favourite games and having this app has been so enjoyable. I have no complaints about the game itself. It was always playable in portrait mode on my iPhone 11, but since upgrading to iPhone 15 Pro Max the game no longer plays in portrait. It forces the game into landscape which isn’t as enjoyable but more importantly makes the in-game text (e.g., in the tutorial) very hard to read. IMO it’s not an accessible text size. It would be great to have the option to play in portrait mode again on the larger sized iOS devices. If it needs to be letterboxed on the top and bottom of the screen that’s okay!!

There’s no local multiplayer, so you can’t play with 3 other friends on just one phone. There are custom online lobbies though.

I recently played this game in real life and was eager to keep playing, and excited to find an iOS version. After a bit of playing, here’s my feedback:

* There are some nice touches, such as seeing the specific effect of each card that’s been played. 
* The text is almost impossibly small, on an iPhone 12.
* Quit the app and your game in progress disappears. This was how iOS games worked in like 2009? Unacceptable in 2022. 
* The second edition adds some cards and is a lot of fun. Too bad it’s nowhere to be found here.

With the big box dlc released, I was hoping they’d update this game for 5+ players to allow for the new cards. These cards include:

Card (number in card): description:

Assassin (0): when someone plays a guard card on you the person playing the guard is out.

Joker (0): Pick someone you think will win the round. If they win the run, you also get an affection token (heart).

Guards (1) (I think there’s three more added)

Cardinal (2): pick two players to trade hands and look at one of them

Baroness (3): Choose one or two players, look at their hand(s).

Sycophant (4): Pick a player. If the next card played has an affect, that player must be chosen for that effect.

Count (5): if this card is in your discard pile, add one to the card you are holding at the end of the round (if you are still in and no more cards in the draw pile)

Constable (6): If this card is in your discard pile, and you get eliminated from the round you get an affection token.

Dowager Queen (7): Pick a player. Look at each other cards, the higher number is out.

Bishop (9): Pick a player. Guess any non-guard card they have, if you guess it right, you get an affection token. The player you guessed is not out but may or may not discard their card. At the end of the round, the princess beats the bishop (unsure how bishop works on Baron and Dowager Queen with the Princess).

These cards add an extra layer and a ton of fun for 5+ players! Highly recommend adding these!

Le jeux est cool 👍 il manque juste une chose  1- Pouvoir augmenter la taille du texte car sur l’iPhone c’est un peut dur à lire (Pour ce qui connaisse les carte il n’y a pas de soucis). 2- où est le chancelier et l’espionne  comme dans le jeux physique ? (Ca ne mange pas de pain de les rajouter 😀)
La 5ème étoile sera mise lorsque l’on pourra agrandir le texte

Terrible rendition of the game. Computer does not go after leader as it seems rather random. Wish they sharpened the AI and used the updated full game with Spy and Chancellor.

I own the game and wanted a digital form but it crashes repeatedly every time I try to open it. It generally takes me 3-5 tries before the game will actually play for me. Also, no pass and play option.
It’s a great game but this digital version is poorly implemented and I wonder if the designer abandoned it as far as updates or fixing glitches.

Just downloaded. The game is stuck in half screen as if in landscape but built for portrait so you only see have the screen. Not matter what I do it won’t change. Spend $3.99 for a game I can’t even see on my screen. Fix or refund needs issued.

Fan du jeu de société, je me suis dit que cela ne mangeait pas de pain de payer un peu moins de 5€ de plus pour pouvoir y jouer avec la communauté en ligne. Et là 2 déceptions:
- la communauté est inexistante. Bon courage pour arriver à faire une partie joueur contre joueur. Et malheureusement, pour les parties contre l’ordinateur, l’IA n’est pas du tout au niveau
- il s’agit de la version de base, sans chanceliers ni espionnes. Pour près de 5€, c’est un peu fort de café
En bref: ne vaut pas son prix.

Just like the actual card game, this is lots of fun to play on your own, or with friends, or with anyone online.

BUT it would be great to get an update - it’s been over 2 years and what’s missing is the recent expansion with the ‘Spy’ and ‘Chancellor’ cards.

Perfect for fast play when you have a few minutes. Challenging without being frustrating. Just the right amount of depth and strategy, not too easy, not too hard, some luck too. The AI is very balanced. Customizable options (like how many tokens it takes to win) add great variety of play. Everything runs so smoothly. This has become one of my favorite card games ever. Priced so fairly too. Thanks you!
