LP Audiobook is a local-first player for the audiobooks you already own. Drop in your m4b, mp3, m4a, FLAC, or other files and listen — no account, no subscription, nothing leaves your device.

REAL CHAPTER SUPPORT
• Reads embedded chapters from m4b files, including books split into multiple parts
• Auto-groups files like "Book Name – Part 1 / Part 2 / Part 3" into one continuous timeline

Improvements and fixes.

• New: Extended Stats. Your library summary now shows total playtime alongside authors, books, and size — and, when sorted by author, each author's section shows their combined playtime and file size next to the book count. Turn it on or off in Settings.
• Improved: Multi-part imports. Adding the parts of an audiobook one at a time — handy for cloud or NAS providers that only let you pick one file at a time — now merges them into a single book, in order, instead of separate entries.
• Fixed: Opening the app no longer interrupts music or podcasts — audio from other apps keeps playing until you press play.
• Fixed: The player no longer briefly appears then jumps back to the library on launch, and auto-import no longer repeatedly asks about cellular data.
• Fixed: A rare crash when tapping Play right after pausing.

### 1.3.7 — 2026-08-11

Three additions, three fixes.

• New: Fine-tune scrubbing. On the timeline, drag sideways to move quickly through a long book — then slide your finger up or down to slow the scrub to half, quarter, or fine speed for pinpoint positioning. A label shows the current speed.
• New: Rewind after interruption. Configure a 1–5 second rewind that fires when a navigation prompt, Siri, a phone call, or an alarm cuts in — so the sentence flows back in naturally instead of resuming mid-word. Independent from Smart Resume.
• New: In CarPlay, your current series rises to the top. If your library is grouped by Author and mostly collapsed, the author you've expanded floats to the top of the CarPlay list in reading order — so after finishing a book while driving, the next one in the series is right there.
• Fixes a rare case where connecting to a car or Bluetooth device — or a phone interruption — could jump your place to the very start or end of a book (sometimes marking it as finished).
• Fixes a rare case where playback got stuck silent after tapping pause during buffer loading, previously requiring an app restart.
• Library: swiping to delete no longer accidentally starts playback, and the delete confirmation dialog now appears reliably.

Two reliability fixes.

• Play now reliably restarts after a Bluetooth or CarPlay interruption, even after a long pause — fixes a rare case where tapping Play would silently do nothing until the app was relaunched.
• Deleting a book from the library now works every time, with the confirmation dialog appearing consistently.

Audio routing gets a refresh.

A new pill next to Chapters and Bookmarks shows where audio is going right now — CarPlay, Bluetooth, hearing aids, or speaker. One tap opens the standard iOS route picker.

When wireless CarPlay reconnects but audio sticks to Bluetooth, a small banner appears with a one-tap shortcut to switch. Long-press the route pill to pin a preferred device for next time.

The EQ preset names and library sort labels now appear in every supported language. The Cancel button in long-running operations is also polished for non-English locales.

• CarPlay: your library on the dashboard, with full transport, Now Playing, and chapter skip.
• Resume now lands exactly where you paused — fixes a small backward jump some users saw on every resume.

• Library: author sections are collapsible, with book counts at a glance.
• Library: optional stats header in Settings shows total authors, books, and storage size.
• Auto-import waits for all parts of multi-part books before importing, and asks before using cellular data.
