## What is LPCrate?

LPCrate is a fast, focused way to catalog your vinyl collection — right down to the pressing, the condition, and the cover art.

Add a record in seconds: scan its barcode and LPCrate pulls the artist, title, label, catalog number, format, and year straight from Discogs. Snap front and back cover photos with a built-in camera guide that keeps every scan lined up the same way.

ORGANIZE YOUR WAY
• Sort records into genre "crates" — built-in genres plus your own custom ones, reordered however you like
• Browse as a list, icon grid, or full gallery view
• Search and filter by artist, label, format, condition, rating, or release year

TRACK CONDITION AND VALUE
• Grade media and sleeve condition using standard collector terms (Mint through Poor)
• Rate every record 1–5 stars
• Log an estimated value and a link to where you found it

SEE YOUR COLLECTION AT A GLANCE
A built-in dashboard shows your total records, genre breakdown, average rating, newest addition, total estimated value, and your top-rated and highest-value albums.

YOUR DATA, YOUR DEVICES
LPCrate syncs privately through your own iCloud account across iPhone, iPad, and Mac. Import or export your whole collection as a CSV anytime. There's no account to create, no ads, no analytics, and no tracking — LPCrate doesn't collect any of your data, period.

Get started free with your first 10 records. Unlock unlimited albums anytime with a single one-time purchase — no subscription.

## Version history (last 2 releases)

### 1.2.0 — 2026-10-02

Find the exact pressing you own:
• Search Discogs by barcode, artist and title, or catalog number, then choose your pressing from a list showing year, country, label, and format.

Know what's already on your shelf:
• Scanning or looking up a record tells you if it's already in your collection, with its condition and location.
• Adding a record you already have now asks before saving a duplicate.
• Barcodes are saved with your records and included in CSV import and export.

Organize your way:
• Sort any crate by artist (ignoring "The"), title, year, date added, value, or rating. Each crate remembers its own sort.
• Discogs genres now go into your existing crates instead of creating new ones.

Faster browsing:
• Lists and grids scroll more smoothly, especially in large collections.

### 1.1.1 — 2026-09-03
