## What is LRC7?

Each of the bands can be configured to be any of the available filter types. Each band can also be turned off so that it passes the audio through unchanged, The frequency range for each of the filters is 10 Hz to 20 kHz. The filters aren't restricted to stay in any order. You can also set the "Q" factor of each of the filters. The value ranges from 0.0 to 1.0. The Q values behave differently in the different filter types.

### 3/5 — Frustrations

*2026-03-12*

The app is cool, but I can’t get the second menu to come up and it just refuses to. It’s random sometimes I’ve done all the stuff I’ve deleted the app. I reset the phone everything it just refuses to pull up the other menu. I just keep getting a fine menu.

### 5/5 — CANT wait to be an uptempo artist

*2026-02-09*

This app made me make a piep kick

### 5/5 — Note!

*2026-01-22*

To change the filter types make sure you click EXACTLY over the point. If you’re just barely outside of it with your finger, it’ll bring up the “fine” menu

### 3/5 — Nothing but directiona

*2025-06-16*

There's nothing but a menu and directions.
I don't wanna give you a bad mark, but I don't wanna give you a five either you know like

### 4/5 — is it on mac?

*2023-10-23*

i just got a mac mini and i’m trying to look for this on it but i’m not finding it

### 3/5 — Same issue as natr314159

*2023-06-18*

I messed around and found the issue. I’m working on iphone, and the eq type menu where you choose between peak, shelves, etc. only comes up when the point is between 500hz to 1khz. When the point is outside of that frequency range, only the “fine tune” menu comes up.

### 5/5 — I’m not payed

*2023-01-28*

This EQ works really well in GarageBand. I typically use Logic, but when I have nothing but my phone using GB with this and other plugins is a good alternative.

### 4/5 — Can’t access menu for points

*2022-07-06*

Hey there seems to be a problem with opening the menu for changing the type of EQ you want for each point. Previously I was able to hold my finger on a point to pull up the menu, now that only pulls up a different menu and I can’t figure out how to access the other one, it pops up sconce in a while though. Was something changed? Because if so the new way to do it isn’t intuitive.

Other than this I’ve loved using this in GarageBand and I hope everything is fixed soon

**Developer response:** There haven't been any recent changes to LRC7 and current testing doesn't show any issues with the filter selection menu. If you contact us via the link on our website we may be able to resolve the issue you are having by getting more details.

### 3/5 — Keeps crashing

*2021-05-15*

Too bad, but this app keeps crashing using garage band on my iPad and then when I reinstall it the presets that I spent hours saving all disappear.

**Developer response:** We haven't had any other reports of LRC7 crashing. It would be very helpful if you could contact us via the link at http://neonsilicon.com/about.html and provide us with details about the crash. It would help us to track down issues to know the operating system version and device type as well as the type of track you were using LRC7 on in GarageBand.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.5 — 2022-05-27

Fixed a bug that might cause the effect to not reset when a host requests a reset.

### 1.4 — 2021-05-24

Fixes for potential hang on AU load.
Changed AU so that default configuration information is used if the configuration file can't be loaded.

### 1.3 — 2021-05-05

Fixed an issue with font sizes in the documentation app on some devices.

Added a configuration panel in the documentation app that allows for configuring the AU.
The configuration panel can be used to adjust some of the multi-touch gestures and to set which EQ band types are set as the defaults.

The double tap to turn off an EQ band now saves the current EQ band state and will restore the saved state on a subsequent double-tap.
The double tap gesture can be completely disabled in the configuration panel.

The sample rate warning panel for low-sample rate tracks can be turned off in the configuration panel.

Please see the documentation in the container application for further details. A new page for the configuration settings has been added to the docs.

### 1.2 — 2021-04-28

Refined the multitouch gestures to remove accidental filter frequency and gain changes when adjusting the Q setting.

Changed the A/B state clear gesture to a three finger tap to avoid accidental filter settings changes.

Changed the default control point selection mode to be single selection only.

Added a switch in the lower-left corner of the UI to enable multi-filter selection.

### 1.1 — 2021-04-26

Add support for running when the host sample rate for a track is set to less than 44.1 kHz.
Added support for running on smart instrument and sampled tracks in GarageBand where the sample rate is set to 22050 Hz.
Added multiple new UI gestures to work with default filter settings and A/B-ing EQ settings.
Added additional support for mapping gestures to mouse and trackpad on macOS and iPad.
Fixed a bug where the AU could lose parameter settings when multiple starts-and-stops of a track had been executed.
Please see the documentation in the container app for more information on the gestures for LRC7.
