The language is high quality and very simple to use 8/10. ### 4/5 — Great Basic Lua IDE *2021-02-22* Thanks for making this great, basic Lua IDE for the iPad. Compared to other Lua apps, this Lua IDE is the easiest to use, and the most straightforward. As the image suggests lots of room to write script, run your script, and see the outcome in the console below. Uses iCloud for easy storage of scripts and free! Would recommend for anyone coding or learning basic Lua. Didn’t give 5 stars because doesn’t come with additional modules that are often utilized when writing more complex Lua scripts. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Waste of time *2026-07-24* Nothing really works. “Run” opens a terminal window for you to invoke Lua interpreter manually each time you want to run your script. All edits must be saved manually, there’s no warning if you didn’t. Menus are scrolling, code editor is annoying as hell as is this whole thing. It has huge potential as a convenient pocket learning tool. But I’m not even five minutes into using this software and already noticing that for some reason C-style escape sequences are formatted into the code once you close and reopen a script. Like if I type “\n”, the next time I open the app there will literally be a new line in the source code. That already puts me off using it. Big stretch but I hope the developers consider files talking to each other via call events ### 4/5 — Bien mais quelques choses a ajouter.. *2025-07-25* Le site est bien pour du mobile mais quand on fait un retour a la ligne j’aimerai un end qui se met automatiquement après des function() ou des for, while loop etc.. et il faudrait ajouter des raccourcis car c’est très long d’écrire une variable longue en entière par exemple. Ex quand j’écris "f" il y a plusieurs possibilités: for, function()… et je peut cliquer dessus pour écrire plus vite. Sinon c’est un site que j’utilise depuis que je suis en vacances et sa fait le taff. ### 4/5 — Simple app, easy to use *2024-08-12, version 1.1.3* Great app, it does the job; you can make different files and run them with no issues or interruptions (e.g. by advertisements), however one thing is that there isn’t a zoom feature on it, and the selecting feature can be a little funky. Apart from a few additions that can be added, this is a great free app I’d highly recommend. User input through the terminal using io.read() would be nice as it is in base lua.
