Mid 40’s drag really bad. Not enough meaningful events. Feels like P2W eventually but even if you pay the summoning rate is absurd. Overall good time killer ### 4/5 — Hclw *2020-05-07, version 2.3.5* Cool game wish it was more like Dokkan where there were much cooler animations, and the designs aren’t iconic enough for me to get hype and keep playing. I loved the story and like how you’ve turned it into a game. The play, control, and the graphics are really well done. Being able to play as if YOU were leveling up to progress is pretty fun. The fact you essentially don’t have to spend any money in-game to succeed is very nice too!! There’s a decent amount of grammar and spelling issues but the game is expansive and still on the newer side for global release so it’s understandable. That’s what updates exist for after all. If you’re a fan of the webcomic you’re almost guaranteed to be a fan of the game!! And if you’re reading this review because the game ended up on top of the charts check out the webcomic. It’s got a plethora of chapters and is still going!!! I didn’t mind the amount of space needed to download the content, but I do however dislike the fact that it crashes. Maybe it’s because I have a low-performance device, or it’s the game. I so far like this game, but I can hardly get anywhere if the game keeps crashing. English translation is a little bit off grammar wise, but so far that’s my only issue, and it’s not even that big! Upgrade equipment but the increase is only 5% of main stat meaning that using scrolls will only give a small boost that will be stagnant. Good game only to pass the time. ### 2/5 — I Gave This a 2. Here’s Why *2020-03-05, version 2.2.7* I understand that this I a fairly new game and it should be given the chance to grow so it needs feedback from its customers. I have read through every single chapter of this comic and it does follow the story, which I am happy to see. There are still some things can and should be added; such as grunting noises from the characters so that players feel just a little bit engaged or even the game devs yelling the name of a characters special moves. I’m sure fans of the comic Hardcore Leveling Warrior are dying to see the game adapt parts of season two of the comic into the game. I’m willing to stand by this game and watch as a bigger fandom grows around it. This first version of the game is just a snippet of what the game devs are planning to show the diehard fans of the Hardcore Leveling Warrior series. Thank You game developers if you’re reading this, and hopefully some of the other fans agree. Sorry not sorry I gave you a two star. I know you’ll only go up from here. ### 2/5 — Hlw *2020-02-26, version 2.2.6* I’m sad that this isn’t more of q build your own character and get a random ability when you log in like the actual game. Kinda sad that it’s just another collect your favorite characters game and not like lucid adventures in the webtoon. Ik it would be impossible to make it exactly like the webtoon but I just wish it was more customisable ### 2/5 — From a player *2020-02-18, version 2.2.5* I don’t play games with this format that much, but when I saw it was about The WEBTOON-Hardcore Leveling Warrior I gave it a shot. This is probably the 3rd review I’ve ever written for a game. The story line is all out of wack. Utterly disorganized and disappointing. I’m only writing this because of how passionately I feel that this is a disgrace to the WEBTOON. On another note, GO READ THE WEBTOON! It’s awesome. Don’t let the game ruin the series for you. ### 2/5 — The ad killed it for me. *2020-02-15, version 2.2.4* The game is not bad. However, having to watch AD for every free summon is pretty annoying for this type of game. There’s many similar games out there that you don’t have to deal with AD with less P2W threshold. Hope they fix this and might come back in near future. ### 2/5 — Bad translation *2020-02-10, version 2.2.0* In today’s competitive mobile gaming market, there is no room for horrible translations when bringing a game to the global market. Almost every sentence has translation errors. Fix please I know it’s not my internet because I need to redownload everytime to fix it. ### 3/5 — Please rework enhancing *2020-09-20, version 2.4.8* I would love to give this 5 stars but the games enhancement system is a real pain when you enhance you use majority of your gold the rng for it is ridiculous I run out of gold just trying to enhance a single piece of armor. On the other hand The game is fun and the art is pretty good too. Please for the sake of everyone’s gold please make the enhancing rng better. ### 3/5 — Coming from a fan of the source material *2020-03-01, version 2.2.7* Look, I really like the story this is based on but that all I can say about this game so far. The amount to refill AP is ridiculous for how little you get. I’m spending 100 diamonds to get 50 AP which is like 5 scenario runs... I have just one request: Please lower the cost of refilling and give us more AP per refill. ### 3/5 — Has potential *2020-02-14, version 2.2.4* Same design as many games out, if your a fan of hclw then I’d suggest giving it a shot, having a major issue with summon rates however. 300 gems a summon, they give a summon each day if you do the daily missions. Now here is the issue, the characters in the game are tiered based from D to A+, summoning anything lower than A means you’ve wasted 300 gems depending if you grinded or bought them because those units are useless (literally). The chances that you actually get an A are around 15-20% (taking a guess off the amount of gems I’ve used thus far) and the chances of you getting an A+ are 2% (literally what devs have said). They just released an event that’s bringing A+ units from 2% to 3% like what??? Is this a joke? Spent over 2000 gems and received only B tiered units during this event alone and to put salt on the wound I had every single unit that I rolled. I understand it’s a new game but come on, if your gonna base it on tiers than at least have plenty of heroes to go along with it or make heroes that are Lower than A useful in some way. ## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated) ### 5/5 — Patient f2p *2022-09-05, version 2.4.39* I’ve seen many not enjoy the rates but personally they seem fine since were handed lots of free pulls for just playing or logging in. In the week it takes for a chance up event you would have probably already amassed 20-30 pulls and that’s only if you want to pull on that week’s banners. It’s sad to see that this game isn’t the most popular or updated with content frequently but I’ve still had fun playing it. You can easily find some of the community just by searching up things online as well. I’m addicted to the gameplay for some reason. (Haven’t spent a dime yet gl everyone else) ### 5/5 — Awesome *2021-03-27, version 2.4.19* Awesome so far. However, I only been playing recently. Will update in one month. ### 5/5 — Great game just need a little bit more work *2020-06-11, version 2.4.1* This game is pretty good not great I think over time it will get there I think they need to add more characters and the graphics need to be tweaked a little bit but all in all it could be a little better I’m judging from the game in the comic it’s still a little bit behind but that’s all the feedback I have on it right now but I think it’s a good concept for a game and just a little more tweaking and it will be perfect. ### 5/5 — Don’t Be Deterred *2020-05-11, version 2.3.6* Quick tip to everyone mad about summon rates... Be Patient. Believe it or not the B units are the best in the game. Yep, you heard me right, now hear me out. Figure out your faves and prioritize them. I pick Dark, Sora, Ethan, and Umai. Only pick them when they come up and you only get B or less. At 20 soul stones a pop you will be able to reinforce them in no time. Im level 48 and my S glutton Sora +6 is currently higher CP then my SS Dacon +2. I only need 13 more Soras to get plus 7 and another percent boost on top of her current 230k cp. I wish there were more opportunities for Epic scrolls and reinforce seals, as well as a way to convert all of my lower level scrolls to gp or higher scrolls. Other than that I love the game mechanics ### 5/5 — Looks good *2020-04-22, version 2.3.4* I like this game a lot even though it might not be the best one out there but I still gotta thank you for making it because I love the webtoon and to be able to actually play the game is awesome. ### 5/5 — Game has come a long way *2020-04-19, version 2.3.3* From the newest update, this game has come a long way from being slightly mediocre to being a fairly decent and fun game, while the game does promote whaling being free to play won’t be setting you back that much, you get free pulls everyday and can stack up gems really easily as the game is always giving you gems from doing something. Easy daily missions and this is a game where if you just wait everything will be handed to you. Of course there are things to work on, as I still think the rates of gold A plus units should be more frequent as dupes are essential for playing the game and averaging 1 a plus every 20-30 pulls can be overwhelming for some players. However things like the new event where you can grind for a free gold a plus is really nice and I hope they continue events like this. Good game but needs a little bit more of tweaking to make it top tier. ### 5/5 — Hmmm..... *2020-04-18, version 2.3.3* Very early in my experience with this game a lot of bugs has crashed 3-4 times in the first 20 mins of play. Also needs help with translations rather poor atm. With that said I think with some help could be a great game love the story an out right weirdness of the game. ### 5/5 — Fun but really p2w - I TAKE IT BACK *2020-03-10, version 2.2.7* The first event has a 1% increase from 2% for higher ranked characters like what?? The drop rate wasn’t even changed! PART 1 UPDATES* I know drop rates are low but this game gives you every chance to give you free gems. I have played this non stop as a f2p player and am probably better off than some people that have put some money into this game (not including whales) but if you put time into this game you can definitely reach end game team compositions and have fun while you are at it. Guilds, and raids are pretty cool as well but the only issue is that the chat doesnt work. ### 5/5 — Before you play... *2020-03-09, version 2.2.7* This game is great for relaxing and letting sit to play. It’s fun and it’s awesome to see this game inspired by the WEBTOONs comic.
