### 2/5 — Maybe today, maybe tomorrow but not both!

*2026-03-07, version 3.5.3*

Today the app may work, tomorrow it won’t. If it doesn’t you have no control of the hearing aids and may as well stick a couple of Cheerios in your ears.

### 2/5 — App interferes with HA volume.

*2026-01-29, version 3.5.3*

Once again the recent IOS Update of my Apple 14 is causing problems with Lucid Hearing Aid App. It kills the HA volume. Any activity on my phone causes volume to turn off. Even while typing this cuts the volume off although no sign in the App. When I pause volume comes back. Also happens with almost every other app that requires input by me. When I open app just to read the volume goes even without input but comes back after a few moments.

### 2/5 — Poor performance

*2026-01-17, version 3.5.3*

The program’s performance continues to degrade. I’m done.

### 4/5 — Too frequently

*2025-12-31, version 3.5.3*

I have to reset the app two frequently in order to maintain coverage with my hearing aids.

### 2/5 — Terrible connectivity

*2025-12-02, version 3.5.3*

Constantly gives problems connecting to the app.

### 3/5 — Worked good on my 14

*2025-10-28, version 3.5.1*

The app works OK but with each update that Apple has it gets worse. I now have an iPhone 17 Pro Max and the Bluetooth on it won’t even connect with my hearing aids. The app connects to my hearing aids, but not my phone. So now when I want to look at the charge of my batteries, I have to open the app in order to see it. I have to have the app running just to use them. On my old phone, I didn’t have to have the app open unless I wanted to make in the app itself.

### 3/5 — UGH

*2025-09-23, version 3.4.3*

The App is working less and less with IOS particularly after IOS 26 and 17 Pro Max.
Connects and disconnects very often. Hate to get different HA’s but might be forced to

### 4/5 — Work Well, But….

*2025-09-09, version 3.4.3*

The Lucid Hearing app is becoming less compatible with iOS with each iOS update. There is no stability anymore for hearing something through my hearing aids as it flips back and forth and loses the connection frequently. And I never know when I will be able to hear through my hearing aids or when it’s going to go through the phone speaker.

### 4/5 — Easy

*2025-08-02, version 3.4.2*

The app is easy and intuitive. My only problem is when Apple does a software update, my hearing aids get messed up. After going through the updates a few times, I now can troubleshoot my own hearing aids.
It would be good if Lucid provided an issue aware notice with helpful steps to fix any issue.

### 2/5 — Bluetooth needs improving

*2025-06-23, version 3.4.1*

Blue tooth keeps disconnecting.
Very frustrating

### 2/5 — Lucid app doesn’t connect.

*2025-06-21, version 3.4.1*

Installed app and connected to hearing aids. Had to disconnect to use another app and now trying to reconnect to Lucid, just a continuous loop of Connecting, Connected, Connecting, Connected. Uninstalled, reinstalled, powered off phone.
No luck.

### 3/5 — Drains battery

*2025-06-02, version 3.4.1*

I have had my hearing aids for almost 4 years. For at least 6 months or more, this app uses 34% (20 h 52 min)of my battery with background operations. I don’t know what it is doing, but that is unacceptable. My battery was drained by 3:45 this afternoon. I take them out at night and remove the batteries for at least 9 hours every night.

### 1/5 — Latest Update isn’t working

*2025-05-29, version 3.4.1*

Not finding the hearing aid devices within inches of the app. Each device has working/fresh batteries. Sad.

### 1/5 — Useless

*2025-05-23, version 3.4*

Piece of junk. Will not connect. Only part of connect screen shows up
Previous version at least worked.

### 3/5 — Mykl

*2025-04-28, version 3.3.4*

Need to update the apps

### 1/5 — volume control

*2025-03-26, version 3.3.4*

Volume control is only by the user not by the battery going dead and the app keeps lowering the volume without my permission.

### 2/5 — Disconnects from phone after few min

*2025-01-14, version 3.3.4*

Same problems as other reviewer. Phone will disconnect from hearing aids after few min. When this happens, I have to remove hearing aid and open battery door on both hearing aids to get it to reconnect with phone. Also, I’ve been using #13 Duracell batteries. They last about 5-6 days compared to other batteries I bought. Developer: get hearing aid/phone disconnect problem fixed.

### 1/5 — Settings keep changing with no input

*2024-12-18, version 3.3.4*

When I see the hearing volume to control both at the same time they seem to work ok for approximately 10-15 minutes. For no reason the volume goes to to max on the left and goes down on the right. Although I set the volume to both it automagically switched to individual volume - tech has no answer. Shame you pay almost 2grand for them and get 0 help on this issue

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Will not stay connected to my phone

*2026-03-30, version 3.5.3*

Update 03/30/26, with the latest version of IOS, Bluetooth and all audio streaming no longer work. I’ve had these two years or so and with each update of IOS it get worse. Not worth $2k per ear. I’ve had one unit replaced and this company just can’t make it work.

### 1/5 — So disappointed

*2026-01-30, version 3.5.3*

Unfortunately after every update from Apple my hearing aids turn into mega phones in my ears and I can’t answers phone calls nothing. I should not have to unpair and repair to all my devices after an update. This takes up to two weeks sometimes. I am going on month number two of not connecting. Enough is enough. Get it together. List client. Looking at new hearing devices that work better.

### 1/5 — Lucid app

*2025-11-17, version 3.5.3*

After using this app for several months now, I and quite tired of the app changing itself. I never know if it’s in Lucid on both ears or Lucid on one ear and noisy on the other. It’s a constant battle. My hearing aids constantly run thru the channels at the least opportune times. Close the app, open the battery doors, restart the phone, this app needs some serious updates. I can’t understand why I can’t have the code to connect my hearing aids to this app but the tech at Sams won’t give it to me.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work

*2025-11-12, version 3.5.3*

I can’t even connect the app to my device at all, it doesn’t even show anything. Just tells me to connect and I follow the manual. It’s not even registering.

### 1/5 — My hearing aids

*2025-10-28, version 3.5.1*

These hearing aids are ok but the app doesn’t do anything to cut down the noise to hear when someone is talking to you in crowded area. I had to used my phone just to here person I’m talking to because this app is useless. That’s sad

### 1/5 — IOS KEEPS GOING OUT

*2025-10-11, version 3.4.4*

I depend on the connection in order to hear the phone conversation or stream anything. Now I’m consistently uninstalling and Installing trying to get them to connect again. I have to use speaker phone and now everyone can hear my conversations. Just purchased Lucid hearing aides and spent thousands and not be able to use them.

### 1/5 — iPhone 17 Pro Max No connect

*2025-10-06, version 3.4.4*

My Hearing aids stoped Connecting to my New Phones. I called Lucid and No Help so my New IPhone 17 Pro max is the Problem. This is Disappointing

### 1/5 — Music

*2025-09-14, version 3.4.3*

The hearing aids go in and out. All the time. I have to constantly open the app and reconnect them. And FORGET listening to music. I can’t put my phone in my pocket, in a Fanny pack when I’m walking the dog. The sound breaks and constantly goes out. I’ll be returning these to Sam’s club!!!

### 1/5 — Don’t buy

*2025-08-28, version 3.4.3*

These have to be the worlds worse hearing aids. The customer service and the hearing aid themselves are not reliable. I have been without my right hearing aid for 5 months now. I keep trying to get hold of someone and when I finally did I have to wait another month without it again.

### 1/5 — The app is still not working

*2025-07-20, version 3.4.2*

All of the problems in the past reviews are still happening, even with the updates. The App is still useless. Continues to disconnect from my iPhone 16. Or connects just one hearing aid. I have to continually reset. I have done the workaround by using the accessibility settings on the phone. Not giving me all I had hoped but at least I can hear with them. My hearing aids are 16 months old. Originally about 3500. Very disappointed. And the technician at Sam’s makes adjustments that seem to work— until the next day. Lucid, please get this fixed.

### 5/5 — The Lucid hearing aid app

*2023-04-23*

I would not give this app three stars I would give it no stars. It does not work steadily when it is not working I do not have the use of my telephone. This app is useless it quits working, and I need to delete it and reinstall it. Sometimes I need to do that. Many times before it starts working again right now I’ve been. I have been working on it for two or three hours and I cannot get it to work based on my experience with this app I will never buy Sam’s Club hearing aids again. I am a 90 year old man who depends on my hearing aids. and telephone.

### 5/5 — Love it

*2022-09-12, version 2.1.2*

### 5/5 — Lucid hearing aids from Sams Club

### 5/5 — Simple to use

*2021-12-15, version 2.0.1*

I found this app to be simple and intuitive. Great addition to my Lucid hearing aids. The new LucidShape feature provides me the ability to make small adjustment to shape my experience in various listening environments. Truly life changing!

### 5/5 — AMAZING!!!

*2021-12-12*

Honestly until I tried lucid hearing aids I never knew how much I was missing out in life. So many sounds the world around you makes and I never knew because I couldn’t hear certain frequencies. I tried other cheap devices that anyone could buy and nothing came close to these. Honestly I can’t live without these now. For the first time in my life I don’t say “what” repeatedly when speaking to people and so feeling embarrassed because I still don’t hear what someone is saying to me. I can hear my child in the next room or if he yells out for me while I’m cooking. I highly recommend! I teared up when I first used this because I realized my life was quiet and lonely compared to all the sounds I was actually missing out on around me. I didn’t think my hearing was that bad. Quality is important with these. You get what you pay for. That’s why I got the highest one that was recommended for me.

### 5/5 — Delighted!

*2021-02-12, version 1.3*

I have been searching for a new hearing system that is budget friendly and has the technology that I need to stream and found mine at Sams hearing Centers! I was very surprised to learn that Sam’s has hearing aids, and top line service. My visit went very well, no pressure, and I just walked in. Extremely knowledgeable I must say my, I was impressed. Best part is my ability to stream my calls and media into my new hearing aids. Hearing my conversations in both ears w direct streaming is a game changer for me. Thank you Lucid Hearing and Sam’s hearing centers, will definitely recommend.
