### 3/5 — Problem

*2026-08-09, version 2.17.1*

The car does not always recognize and respond to the app. No solution from the dealer yet.

### 2/5 — Fix one break one

*2026-07-18, version 2.17.1*

This version killed live view

### 3/5 — Needs improvement and speed. Issues needed to be fixed

*2026-07-09, version 2.17.0*

After software update, mobile app doesn’t seem to work.

Vehicle offline notification appears and shows 0 available miles in battery “battery low. Charge now”

### 2/5 — One of the Worst User Experienced of any Connected Car

*2026-04-11, version 2.14.1*

Legit one of the most frustrating connected car app. Every thing is super slow and the app barely connects to the car.

For the love of god at least enable some notifications options. The app doesn’t even work in the background and I dont need a notification every time i close the app.

I soaked by the rain since the remote unlock wont work so I have to run to the car to push the handle in. And what do you know the car didnt even wake up so i want to push in every handle (app was open btw)

### 2/5 — Bad software

*2026-04-10, version 2.14.1*

If it’s not the slow response, it’s the failures to connect.

### 2/5 — Slow, lacking features, not user friendly

*2026-04-09, version 2.14.1*

I love my car but the app is poorly designed.

The icons are almost the same color as the background and are tiny. While you can usually see them indoors, if there’s any sunlight outdoors you can’t see anything. The app needs more color contrast and bigger icons.

Other features are just dumb. Why do I have to hit “confirm” every time I unlock the car? What are the chances someone takes out their phone, opens an app, finds the tiny unlock button, and accidentally pushes it? So why do I have to press the button twice every time?

The app also requires location access even when not using the app and will not let you proceed with registration unless you consent. But if you go back later and change to location only when using the app, it works fine. The privacy policy gives them the right to sell your location info, so it appears they’ve chosen selling your data over customer preference.

The app also gives you an error message every time you open it unless you have a credit card on file. I don’t use Lucid charging so there’s no reason they need my credit card. But it won’t go away unless you give them a card.

### 2/5 — Poor implementation

*2026-04-04, version 2.14.1*

Pretty rubbish app. Barely ever works properly.
Was told not to carry the key fob as they would interfere so just using my phone key (which would make more sense than a dumb keyfob) has been quite the aggravation. It has me questioning which one of the two is actually the dumb one.

### 3/5 — Good but needs work

*2026-03-15, version 2.14.0*

The widget is still not working properly and the Apple Watch is not working properly it always disconnects and can not connect again unless you reinstall the app. There has been major updates and the app connect much faster

### 3/5 — Needs Work

*2026-03-14, version 2.14.0*

The Lucid app has a lot of potential, but the reliability needs improvement. It’s often slow to connect or wake up the car, sometimes taking 3+ minutes—if it connects at all. There are also times when location tracking doesn’t update even when the vehicle is clearly awake and connected.

An app like this should feel seamless, convenient, and dependable since it’s such an important part of the ownership experience. Right now it’s not consistently reliable, and that’s something that really needs to change. With some improvements to connection speed and stability, the app could be much better.

### 3/5 — Widget problems

*2026-03-12, version 2.13.0*

The widget shows “click to connect “ , but when entering the app everything is ok

### 3/5 — Limitations in design

*2026-03-06, version 2.13.0*

Not much offered besides the bare minimum when it comes to functionality. I can’t seem to get my vehicle displayed on the iOS widget either.

### 4/5 — Newest update broken location

*2026-02-07, version 2.13.0*

This current update has disabled sharing navigation to the car from the app

### 1/5 — Slow and unreliable.

*2026-02-07, version 2.13.0*

Shortcuts don’t work. Widgets barely work. App slow to wake car. Fails to connect sometimes, send to car from Maps doesn’t work.

### 4/5 — One day from the new update

*2026-02-07, version 2.13.0*

Can't log out the app

### 3/5 — Live view

*2026-02-06, version 2.13.0*

2.13.0 release notes state Live View was added (Beta), I don’t see it in the app anywhere.

### 1/5 — Slowest app

*2026-02-06, version 2.13.0*

App takes FOREVER to wake up.

### 1/5 — Very buggy

*2026-01-13, version 2.11.0*

Buggy app, there is currently no connectivity between the app and my car. Trying to start climate control remotely and it hasn’t worked well for weeks. Reached out to lucid and no response. Their customer service is my biggest source of regret buying this vehicle.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Poorly developed

*2026-07-27, version 2.17.1*

The app rarely wakes up vehicle - even deleting and reinstalling it does not resolve this issue. Hopefully they fix/improve the app sooner than later…

### 1/5 — No. 1 battery hog

*2026-07-07, version 2.17.0*

Wondered why my phone battery kept draining only to find Lucid being the top culprit even though I disable background updates and notifications and being nowhere near the car.

### 1/5 — Not if you have an iPhone 17

*2026-07-03, version 2.17.0*

This app is terrible if you have an iPhone 17 and it’s always hit or miss if it will unlock the doors. Needs improvement

### 1/5 — Phone discounts

*2026-06-27, version 2.16.0*

Every time I want to use my phone to unlock the car or pre ac the car does not work. The app does not load even when closing and re opening. Just like car key both need improvements for better connections.

### 1/5 — Lucid: Get Your Act Together

*2026-05-26, version 2.16.0*

Buggy app almost never works right. I can’t unlock or open the car. I can’t change the charging limit. I can’t turn on the AC before I get in the car. What a total disgrace. Never again.

### 1/5 — Ruins my battery life and barely works

*2026-05-10, version 2.15.0*

Slow and unreliable app, drains my battery.

### 1/5 — Battery killer

*2026-04-22, version 2.14.1*

Drains battery faster than any other app. Unoptimized trash.

### 1/5 — Not reliable

*2026-04-17, version 2.14.1*

Most of the time , i have a difficulty to walk up the car and some time end up not able to do . So can’t open the door or close the door over the internet. Unfortunately less feature compare to other companies and even the available features not working

### 1/5 — Abandoned Air

*2026-04-13, version 2.14.1*

Lucid has essentially abandoned all of its Air customers for its Gravity line that launched in mid-2025. Basic functionality like sending directions to the Air’s infotainment hasn’t worked for months. Once regular fixes for bugs and expanding features are now non-existent. If you own an Air, you’re on your own.

### 1/5 — Sucks when the developers obviously don't drive Lucids.

*2026-04-04, version 2.14.1*

Would be nice if the developers of this app actually drove a Lucid and understood how much their app sucks in the wild and how much potential it has. Oh well. Just call me another one time only Lucid owner. One and done.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Getting better every update.

*2026-07-16, version 2.17.1*

Good job Lucid team. The app has gotten better with every update. The car info loads up much faster and the cameras got clearer and load faster.

### 5/5 — Good app!

*2026-03-29, version 2.14.1*

Everything works great! Keep the features coming!

### 5/5 — Great App

*2026-03-23, version 2.14.0*

Very smooth and functional!

### 5/5 — Need a camp mode!

*2025-10-18, version 2.9.0*

I often take a nap in my Lucid. The car keeps waking me up and ask me if im still here. Come on, im sitting on the driver seat the whole time.

### 5/5 — Gravity needed

*2025-10-12, version 2.9.0*

Please add the gravity picture to the widget and I will upgrade to five stars!

Edit: thanks!!!

### 5/5 — Suggestion for additional feature

*2025-09-12, version 2.8.0*

When I go out to the garage my Lucid Air wakes up and unlocks itself whether I intend to drive it or not. As I walk around it continuously locks and unlocks depending upon whether it can communicate with my iPhone. This is extremely annoying. Currently, I prevent this by disabling Bluetooth on my phone. But this disables other Bluetooth functions I want to remain active. I suggest that the Lucid app allow me to temporarily suspend operation of the mobile key. When the mobile key is suspended this should be obvious in case I forgot I had done so. I think it would suffice to move the Mobile Key button near the top of the screen and add “Suspended” annotation as appropriate. It may also be helpful that when you suspend it you may specify a number hours for it to automatically re-enable the mobile key.

### 5/5 — Looks and works great!

*2025-07-31, version 2.7.0*

App works and looks great. A lot of the functionality is lightyears ahead of the curve compared to other EV’s (Tesla excluded) but the new update makes my Air unlock lightning fast.

### 5/5 — Great app with a decent design

*2025-07-18, version 2.6.0*

Compared to the Tesla app, this one is more refreshing.

### 5/5 — If you use this app, you know what I mean. Current version is solid.

*2025-06-06, version 2.4.0*

This is a solid app and reliable key for what is truly a stunning performance luxury sedan. If you have this app and use it daily, enjoy the ride.

### 5/5 — Works better but eats battery

*2024-08-02, version 1.51.0*

Tough on battery
