That being said, I really wish that you could customize the alarms more-- for example, their volume and duration. I sleep to a sound machine on my phone, but because the alarms don't have their own volume control they will go off at whatever volume my sound machine is set to which is quite inconvenient. The updates on the latest iOS are fantastic and the overall experience has been great. My only issue is that dreams which aren’t nightmares, lucid, or recurring automatically go into “Uncategorized.” Because of this, normal dreams don’t show up in the Categories section or the pie chart, which makes the analytics misleading. It would be amazing if normal dreams were given their own category (like “Normal”) or if we could customise categories and defaults. Including them in the chart would make the analytics much more accurate. The app works pretty well for that. However, there’s a bug(?) that consistently causes ads to appear on the control bar, making it really difficult to hit the save or cancel buttons rather than clicking the ad. ### 4/5 — Ad covers dream journal *2024-06-21, version 2.2* I’ve just started using lucidity, I had one of my first lucid dreams, but when I wrote it down in my dream journal, an ad covered up the save or cancel buttons. ### 2/5 — Ads over save button *2023-12-23, version 2.2* So in the dream journal there is an ad where the back arrow and the save button is every single time you open it up. Meaning that if you just spent 10 minutes writing and recalling every detail of your dream when you get done you just can’t save it you wasted your time writing it all. There is a way around it though for anyone really struggling. If you click the little x on the ad 2 options will pop up “send feedback” and “why this ad” if you click send feedback you can select one of the 4 options to make the ad “go away”. The ad doesn’t really leave the bar is still there covering everything but you can kinda spam click the general area of the save button in the top right corner and if you tap it just right you can actually manage to save it through the ad. This app is pretty good but only for iOS since android has plenty of other better alternatives. The techniques within the app are questionable but the are you awake reminder is nice and I like the extra options you have to label dreams within the dream journal. I’ve been using the are you awake reminder for well over a year and I personally like it. Without this ad issue I’d easily give the app 4 stars. There are definitely more features they could add and some more support for switching devices and such but it’s definitely one of the best you’re going to get off of the App Store. ### 2/5 — Okay but don’t use the dream journal *2023-10-04, version 2.2* Okay app, good idea, but extremely buggy. read other reviews saying their dream journal entries randomly disappeared. For me, I can’t even save journal entries. I write them out but it won’t let me save them. I ended up just using notes app instead. ### 3/5 — Lucidity review *2023-06-08, version 2.2* First off, I think this is a very neat app. I think anyone who wants to lucid dream should use it. However, there is one slight problem. The ads block the save button that allows me to save and read past dream journals. Because of this I have not been able to record my recent dreams. I don’t mind the app having ads it’s the fact that they prevent me from saving my journals that’s the problem. ### 4/5 — I’ve been writing my dreams here for years. *2023-04-27, version 2.2* I like having a separate, dream diary specific platform for my dreams. I like how I can title the dream and separate them into sections, I.e. for lucid dreams or for nightmares. Only problem with the platform is that the actual act of writing on the description pages can get very frustrating as you can’t see the whole body of text when you write. The main reason I got the app though was for the advertised alarm, although I don’t think I’ve ever actually used it, so there’s that. ### 1/5 — Ads make features unusable *2023-04-16, version 2.2* There’s a banner ad that blocks the “save” and “cancel” options for the dream journal so you can’t tap on them. I used to use this app all the time but ever since Pro got added and the UI was updated it’s sucked! ### 1/5 — All dreams lost *2026-01-23, version 3.0.3* I got a new phone last summer and recently went in to check out all my old dreams. And what do you know theyre all gone. Every single one. Gone. All the dreams I logged as a high schooler and beyond are gone. Im truely disappointed in this app. I don't see it as trustworthy of keeping my dreams safe. As they all vanished. A banner ad appears over the save button now so that it is impossible to press it. Okay I will s say that it scared me when I had to get the new iphone iOS 26 update but guess what?? All my 939 dreams remained. Thank God. A already fit that this app outs 9/10 for me. The new design is slick and simple but does the job. Very useful being able to search dreams and also filter to find what you need. Overall love it. There is a dream journal, alarm timers, even guides for the different techniques!! Really happy with the product. Two questions - would it ever be possible to add a feature to manually configure the timers duration? It would be nice to be able to choose how long instead of choosing between a few with preset durations. Second, the main screen runs good but when it comes to the dream journal section (or any section needing scrolling) it tends to lag out and heat up my phone (i'm running the newest apple os). Is there any optimizing you could maybe look into?
