### 5/5 — Good :)

On my Apple Watch and on my widgets & lockscreen I find it more reliable than the Dexcom app..! Very nice.

### 5/5 — Amazing love this app

*2025-06-05*

This app has improved my life with supporting my 18month old son I wish I could donate .

Thank you for making this . So greatful

### 5/5 — Perfect app, great Apple Watch integration

*2025-02-21*

I found this app after Sugarmate became unusable. It is awesome. And free. The Apple Watch complication is better than what Dexcom offers with its follow app. The dev even made a widget for the Mac. Thank you!

### 5/5 — Great app

Thanks for making this

### 5/5 — Amazing. Don’t change.

I just want to thank the devs for this app first and foremost. It’s 100% free. No subscription payments needed, and works amazingly. Clean UI. This means a lot. T1Ds have it bad enough already by getting nickel and dimed at every turn to pay for extra things to simply stay alive. I really appreciate when something like this comes out because it’s tools like this that honestly improve our lives a little more.

Thank you.

If I may add one request if you find the ability to do so in the future — I’m not sure if it’s possible, but if you can have the app ping for updates more frequently so that the widget stays up to the date that would be wonderful. It is usually incorrect similar to Dexcom widget and requires a tap to update it in order to see your current glucose.

Would love to see an “always on” option as well that can both display a notification on the lock screen as well as a constant glucose update in the island.

Just some ideas. And if you do choose to require payment for future iterations of the app please consider a one-time payment rather than a subscription model.

### 5/5 — AMAZING

Wish I could give this 100 stars. Been looking for something like this for AGES… and it’s free?! Please add a tip jar because this app is perfection.

### 5/5 — Simple and Awesome

*2024-08-10*

If you want your blood sugar on your Lock Screen, you use a Dexcom and iPhone, then look no further this is your ticket!

### 5/5 — Most reliable out!

*2024-05-20*

I’ve used just about every CGM monitoring app there is and this one by far is the best for me. The graphs on my watch always update and never lag or disconnect like some of the other ones. It’s sleek, simple and looks very good! Absolute amazing app!

### 1/5 — Can’t use app if Dexcom username is a phone number

*2024-12-01*

I’d love to use this app but it says I can only do so if I use an email as my username through Dexcom. When I go to Dexcom to change my username from my phone number to an email address, it says I can’t change my username. So it seems I cannot use this app at all. Too bad for me; it looks like just what I’ve been looking for.

**Developer response:** Really sorry to hear that. This was a limitation when I built the app, but I've heard reports that using a phone number may work now. Can you try logging with your phone number, using a plus sign, the country code, then number (e.g., +1 (555) 555-5555 would be formatted +15555555555)

### 1/5 — mmol/L Support

*2024-09-21*

App looks very good, but there is no support for mmol/L even though shown in settings.

**Developer response:** I'm sorry you're running into issues! Changing the setting is working fine for me when I test it out. Widgets may take a moment to refresh, and if you have tap-to-refresh enabled for them, refreshing them should make it update to mmol/L immediately.

### 1/5 — No widget

*2024-08-11, version 1.0.1*

I can’t see any Lock Screen widget,
iPhone 12 mini

### 2/5 — Not working

*2025-12-25*

Since the upgrade Luka doesn’t work!

**Developer response:** I'm sorry to hear you're having issues! If you reach out to me (there's a button in the Settings of the app) I'd be happy to help out. Sometimes the app stops working when Dexcom Share has service outages. If the issue resolved itself, would you consider updating your rating?

### 3/5 — Follow app syncing?

*2026-08-26*

Can this be used with Dexcom follow app as I am a T1D parent and would like to have access to these widgets?

### 3/5 — Love the app but the latest update messed up reliability.

*2026-02-11*

This app is simply amazing. I appreciate the dev’s willingness to improve it but the latest update causes it to fail frequently. Go back to the previous version!

### 3/5 — Since recent update, live activities not working reliably

*2025-11-20*

I found this app after Sugarmate became unusable. It is awesome. And free. The Apple Watch complication is better than what Dexcom offers with its follow app. The dev even made a widget for the Mac. Thank you!

UPDATE: the addition of live activities to this app is amazing. I can’t believe the dev doesn’t charge for this. The app should get 7 stars.

### 4/5 — Great on iPhone but watch app not functional

*2026-04-17*

Great alternative to Dexcom interface. But I’d hoped it would offer a more reliable and useful way to monitor glucose via Apple Watch. While it’s possible to install Luka, the app itself doesn’t open and just crashes instantly. Any updates/advice on this would be excellent. Thanks for all your work!

### 4/5 — Widgets don't work

*2025-10-10*

I really like the Mac app, but the home screen & watch widgets just never work

**Developer response:** Hi there! Widgets are given a limited "refresh" budget, and Luka tries to refresh as often as possible. When you first add a widget, the system gives it a smaller budget, but if it's viewed often, it's given more refreshes, so over time you should see this improve. You can also set up the widgets to refresh when you tap them. Let me know if you're still seeing issues. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Follow app - Dexcom

*2026-08-22*

Highly recommend. We use this for following with Dexcom.

## Most praised reviews (9 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Absolutely amazing!

*2026-07-25*

Love the app! Its live activity restarts on its own and it does the work that not even the original dexcom app does on my iPhone. You can see the real time numbers on the dynamic island and also your lock screen and the best part it also displays the minutes when it was last refreshed. Definitely recommended especially for iPhone users.

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2026-06-04*

Great app but how do you change the readings on watch to mmol/L. I have been able to do it on my phone but not on the watch. Thank you

### 5/5 — Way better than Dexcom

*2026-05-04*

The UI issues with the G7 widgets and the consistent way the G7 doesn’t update reliably on Apple Watch drove me crazy for years. Luka is a complete game changer, works so much more reliably. The UI is elegant and practical.

### 5/5 — Unbelievable

*2026-02-23*

Clearly made by someone who truly cares unlike Dexcom’s so called “widget”. Thank you.

### 5/5 — Millions thank you for that app

*2026-02-19*

So important to see level of sugar for kid. Thank you for make this application

### 5/5 — Much better than the Dexcom app

*2026-01-21*

I really like the Mac app too

**Developer response:** Hi there! Widgets are given a limited "refresh" budget, and Luka tries to refresh as often as possible. When you first add a widget, the system gives it a smaller budget, but if it's viewed often, it's given more refreshes, so over time you should see this improve. You can also set up the widgets to refresh when you tap them. Let me know if you're still seeing issues. Thanks!

### 5/5 — Does what Dexcom can’t

*2025-12-30*

This has a nice clean UI and widgets that are clear and useful. As a parent of a T1D child, I can finally have a graph on my watch and everywhere else I need them.
My one request is for a night mode. It’s a bit (a lot) bright at night. 😄

**Developer response:** Luka should support dark mode - it'll match the device settings. Let me know if you'd like a dedicated toggle in the settings, you can reach out to me through the settings!

### 5/5 — Wunderbare App

*2025-11-23, version 2.0.3*

### 5/5 — Perfect app, great Apple Watch integration UPDATE: live activities

*2025-11-12*

I found this app after Sugarmate became unusable. It is awesome. And free. The Apple Watch complication is better than what Dexcom offers with its follow app. The dev even made a widget for the Mac. Thank you!

UPDATE: the addition of live activities to this app is amazing. I can’t believe the dev doesn’t charge for this. The app should get 7 stars.
