When I click on to see my cameras, the app just spins and I get an error. I tried it on WiFi as well as on cell service and nothing. Need footage thx ### 1/5 — Upgrade was a downgrade *2025-09-17, version Version 4.6.3* The most recent release of this app for our Luma cameras made things worse. First of all, the app upgrade wiped out all my clipped files & some I can't get back now because they were older than what our NVR has in storage. Second I CONSTANTLY now get buffering, No Data, and no connection errors when I'm trying to review & clip video. It's extremely frustrating. And it's more clicks now to get to main stream so I can see the video clearly. I hope they fix these problems asap. They never do! Also look up the Reddit users and even on discord and everyone has problems with this. The camera quality is OK but the App is absolute trash. I can view my ring camera footage in seconds but to takes forever to view anything on the Luma App. It doesn’t support Mac so if you want to download the videos, you need a PC. I have a 20 year old Windows laptop I that I only use to download videos. Luckily, it’s not too often. This company should ashamed of itself. ### 1/5 — Worse Connection Ever !! *2025-04-03, version 4.6.1* We purchased the system on the recommendation of our technology company, and thus far it has been an absolute disaster. It kicks us off of the cameras randomly and it’s almost impossible to log back in without getting technical support. Once you get technical support, it lasts for maybe a day or two then back to the same issue. The app is not use your friendly. Their lack of commitment to product improvement & security is shocking. ### 1/5 — Terrible *2024-12-26, version 4.6.1* It’s honestly hard to imagine what could be updated on this app to make it worse than it already is, but I’m sure the developers will think of something. If you’re considering this for home security purposes, my suggestion would be that instead you invest in an Etch-a-Sketch and leave it by the door with a note, requesting that would-be thieves and vandals use it to sign-in, so that you have a reasonably accurate record of what happened on your porch. ### 1/5 — Low quality and outdated *2024-12-12, version 4.6.1* The app is well behind even basic alternatives. The playback feature is horrific. It doesn’t auto-populate with motion sensed clips. Instead you put in dates/times and then slide through minutes at a time. Save yourself the hassle and find a different system. ### 1/5 — Remote playback quit working *2024-09-26, version 4.6.1* The remote playback feature quit working with the NVR about 2 months ago. After upgrading some cameras the issue is still there. The system becomes useless without the ability to review the stored video. It doesn’t work with the iPhone or IPad. Please fix the issues. ### 1/5 — DO NOT BUY A SNAP LUMA SYSTEM *2024-07-25, version 4.6.1* If you have an installer pushing this system, HIRE A DIFFERENT INSTALLER This app is almost useless. Cameras either don’t load or take forever. Which does NO DAM GOOD if I hear a noise outside and want to check it out. By the time you see anything, if you ever do, on the app, you would be dead from the burglar I have another app that can access the camera immediately. So WHY CANT LUMAs APP DO THE SAME????????? Yes, this app has some issues, but you should always design a project with an NVR in mind and cameras connected directly to it. I love the OvrC platform, and the ability to add additional storage is a major plus. This brand is not for the end user— it is for an integration company to design, install, and service. If the end user is upset they should contact a reputable firm that is an authorized reseller. ### 4/5 — Works good after setting up *2021-05-20, version 4.6.0* Took me a while to figure out all functions. I was frustrated and considered going a differnt direction but stayed the course. I am good with it. I use connected directly to my IP address both at home and away. It’s a decent app on my iPhone and it’s moderately OK on the iPad but trying to scroll up to get back to the home screen is very difficult and I tend to move Camera viewsmore times than not ### 3/5 — Time difference flaw *2024-02-24, version 4.6.1* App is not slick but generally does the job. Lot of screen switching. One major flaw though is that if you are in a different time zone the app only lets you playback based on local time so if you are behind the cctv systems location in time you can’t playback past the local time. ### 3/5 — Crash with more than o e DCR *2023-06-15, version 4.6.1* Worked great for many years. Then the update 3 days ago causes crash if you try to simultaneously view more than one DVR at a time. It cuts off the fields where I should be able to fill in the dates I want to see.
