Lume does neither, and isn't built to. There is no ad network, no paywall, no free trial, and no premium tier. One honest note: stations broadcast their own commercials, the same ones you would hear on a radio set. That is the broadcaster, not us. Lume never adds any of its own. When a stream fails it retries three times, tells you exactly which station is unavailable, and offers the next best station in the same country or genre. Stations that repeatedly fail get demoted so you stop running into them. Your favourites and station list are cached on the device, so the app opens and plays without waiting on the network. NO ACCOUNT, NO SIGN-UP There is no account and nothing to register. Your favourites and recently played stations are stored on your device. Lume Radio does collect anonymous usage statistics — which stations get played, whether streams connect, which features get used — so we can fix what breaks, and these are shared with our analytics provider. They are not linked to your identity, not sold, and not used to track you across other apps or websites. Searches are counted, never their text. Your country is detected from your device's language settings, so the app never asks for location access. STATION DATA Station information is provided by the radio-browser.info community database.
