## What is Lumi?

One emoji. One line. That's a whole day.

The journal is free. Forever — unlimited entries, the full year grid,
search and your insights. No trial that expires.

Lumi is the journal for people who never keep a journal. No blank page
staring back at you, no guilt about the entry you "should" write. Pick a
mood, type a single sentence, and you're done. The whole thing takes ten
seconds — which is exactly why you'll still be doing it a year from now.

YOUR YEAR, PIXEL BY PIXEL
Every day you log becomes one coloured square in a grid of your whole
year. Watch it slowly fill in. Tap any past square to read — or quietly
fix — what that day was. It's the most honest picture of your life you'll
ever see on one screen.

WHAT LIFTS YOU
Once you have a few weeks written down, Lumi counts them. It reads back
your own words and tags and shows which ones turn up on your better days,
and which turn up on your worse ones — with the number of days behind
each one, so you can weigh it yourself. Nobody counts four hundred days
by hand. This is the part people stay for, and it all happens on your
phone.

FIND ANY DAY AGAIN
Search everything you have ever written. Or ask a plain question — "what
did my best weeks have in common?" — and get an answer built only out of
your own entries. Your first question is free, and every answer is kept
so you can read it again.

NEVER LOSE A WORD
Your sentence saves itself as you type. Close the app mid-thought, drop
your phone, run out of battery — it's already saved. This is the one
thing every other journal app gets wrong, and the one thing we refused
to.

A REFLECTION AT THE END OF THE WEEK (optional)
Lumi can read back your own entries and write you a short, warm
reflection — the gentle pattern a friend would notice that you can't see
from inside your own week. At the end of every month and every year
there's a longer one. It's powered by AI and honest about being AI. Your
first reflection is free, so you can read one about your own week before
you decide anything.

YOUR YEAR AS A LITTLE BOOK
Turn a finished year into a small PDF booklet — every day in order, with
the letters Lumi wrote you. Yours to keep or to print, and it stays yours
after the subscription ends.

No core feature is locked behind a wall — your reminders stay free too.
You can use Lumi happily without paying a thing.

BUILT TO BE PRIVATE
- No account. No sign-up. No email. Nothing to log into.
- Your entries live on your device — and so does the counting. "What
lifts you" never leaves your phone.
- Lock Lumi behind Face ID or your phone's passcode if you want to.
- No ads, and nothing sold to anyone. Analytics are off until you say
yes, you can switch them back off, and what you write is never part of
  them.
- When you ask for a reflection, or ask your journal a question, the
lines it covers are sent to be read once. They are never stored on any
  server.
- Export everything to CSV whenever you want — and read it back in on a
new phone. It's your life; take it with you.

A GENTLE NUDGE, NOT A NAG
One optional daily reminder, at a time you choose. The wording changes
so it never becomes wallpaper you stop seeing. Miss a day? Nothing
breaks. Your streak is there to encourage you, not to punish you.

Meet Lumi, the little firefly who lights up in the same colors your
year fills with. Small app. Small habit. A surprisingly big picture by
December.

Start tonight. One line.

## Version history (last 4 releases)

### 1.1.1 — 2026-08-26

Your letters come to you now.

LETTERS THAT ARRIVE
Lumi used to wait to be asked. The letter for a week, a month or a year
that has just closed is now written on its own and waiting when you open
the app, with a mark on the tab so you know it is there. One at a time,
newest first, so a month away does not arrive all at once. Part of Lumi
Pro, and only if you have said yes to letters being written.

A PLACE FOR THEM TO WAIT
Reflections is a mailbox now: what is waiting for you at the top, the
letters you have already read below.

WHERE YOUR YEAR LIVES
Settings now says when you last took a copy of your journal out, and
explains the part nobody tells you: your journal already travels with
your phone's own backup — iCloud on iPhone, Google on Android — as long
as that is switched on. The CSV export is the copy that does not depend
on any of it. If a long time has passed without one, Lumi mentions it
once.

SMALLER THINGS
- The bars under What Lifts You now scale to what they are showing, so
  you can actually compare them

No account, no ads.

### 1.1.0 — 2026-08-21

Three rounds of work in one update. The short version: Lumi now counts
your days back to you.

WHAT LIFTS YOU
Lumi reads your own words and tags and shows which ones turn up on your
better days, and which turn up on your worse ones — with the number of
days behind each, so you can weigh it yourself. It all happens on your
phone.

TAGS, SEARCH, AND ASKING
One-tap tags, so a pattern has something to hold on to. Search
everything you have ever written. Or ask a plain question — "what did my
best weeks have in common?" — and get an answer built only out of your
own entries. Your first question is free, and answers are kept so you
can read them again.

YOUR YEAR AS A LITTLE BOOK
Turn a finished year into a small PDF booklet — every day in order, with
the letters Lumi wrote you. Once made, it stays yours.

REFLECTIONS THAT REMEMBER
The letter now knows what Lumi already told you, so week twelve doesn't
read like week one. Longer ones at the end of every month and every
year. Your first reflection is free.

THE YEAR GRID
Every month on one row, days lined up, colours you can actually tell
apart, with a small key underneath. Four palettes to pick from. Once you
have two years, you can see them side by side.

SMALLER THINGS
- Lock Lumi behind Face ID or your passcode
- Import a CSV back in, so a new phone doesn't start from an empty year
- The home screen widget now carries a line from your own journal
- Insights are free
- Share a reflection, or delete a day you logged by mistake

No account, no ads.

### 1.0.1 — 2026-08-13

Lumi now speaks Turkish, and follows your phone's language.

• Turkish throughout — the app, reminders and the weekly reflection
• Your weekly reflection comes back in the language you write in
• A real splash screen, so Lumi opens without a white flash
• Clearer subscription details: the price now shows its billing period
• Fixed a purchase button that could stop responding when the store was unreachable

Still no account, still no ads. Thanks for writing with us.

### 1.0 — 2026-08-04
