The app is fast, intuitive, and produces excellent results. The AI tools are especially impressive and make editing on a phone and iPad much easier. My biggest wish for future updates would be the addition of: • Masks for local adjustments • Selective editing tools • Layer support with blending modes and opacity controls These features would greatly expand the creative possibilities and make Luminar Mobile an even more powerful professional editing tool. Overall, a fantastic app with huge potential. Unacceptable. ### 4/5 — Very Good App *2026-07-14, version 4.2* It is very useful for what used to be called "dodging and burning." Anything you do on your Mac or PC, is now on your phone. The eraser tool is not AI like iPhone's eraser tool. Luminar's eraser samples an adjacent area, while iPhone's eraser will grab the object you want removed, automatically enveloping it and erasing it with no sampling of an adjacent area. ## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated) ### 1/5 — Wouldn’t honour lifetime license *2026-09-02, version 4.3.1* I own desktop product (which I like) and purchased lifetime license for an Android. Sometime later I switched to an iPhone, but the expensive android license I purchased cannot be transferred according to support. AVOID. *2026-08-16, version 4.3* The previous lighting function “relight” was solid and functional, but since the last update the light function has been comprehensively ruined. I’ll be cancelling my subscription as this was one of the most useful features and now Darkroom has a a head and shoulders lead over this app. Highly disappointing and for no logical reason. ### 1/5 — Scam *2026-08-14, version 4.3* Why was I charged for a 1 year subscription after I purchased the lifetime membership? I was double billed by this app, and apple refused to refund the 1 year subscription. Most of my most used tools from the desktop version don’t exist in this version. Please add ai sharpening, noise reduction, and more color tools. ### 1/5 — No refund *2026-07-27, version 4.2.1* I paid to use the app but when I tried to use it, it kept asking me to pay for it even though I already did. Apple did not provide a refund for me. So I paid like $70 for an app I can’t use. ### 1/5 — Would give ZERO stars if I could…. *2026-07-24, version 4.2.1* If you want to have a company promise one thing and completely fail to deliver this product is for you! Paid for a years subscription and their app had me believing that I didn’t have a subscription only to then pay for the lifetime subscription for apple to ONLY acknowledge the year subscription and not the lifetime that I paid $69.99 for so I am out $109.98 for only a YEAR SUBSCRIPTION which should have only cost $39.99. Apple and Luminar REFUSE to come up with a solution. So purchase at your own risk with no support from either company to help if you need it. Edit: they told me to reach out to them via that email and I have….6 different times with no resolve over 3 weeks, but when you mention consumer fraud (which it is) they mention giving you a credit on their site for the amount that apple took but they didn’t. Mit dem letzten Update wurde endlich eine Funktion hinzugefügt, auf die ich schon lange gewartet habe: das Exportieren von Bearbeitungen direkt in Apple Fotos – und das unter Beibehaltung eines non-destructive Workflows. Genau diese nahtlose Integration hat mir bisher gefehlt und macht meinen Workflow jetzt deutlich angenehmer. Die kontinuierliche Pflege und Weiterentwicklung der App sind das Geld absolut wert.
