Your photos keep their details. Captures now hold onto EXIF: lens, exposure, ISO, shot time, and the look you used, plus location when you turn it on.

Saved looks now remember your grade, so recalling one brings back the whole picture — colour and all.

On iPhone 16 and later, turn the Camera Control to change looks without leaving the viewfinder.

New four-frame booth strip in the grid composer, for the photo-strip layout people actually post.

Look Studio: bring any photo or video from your library into your looks. Try every look on your own shot before you decide, adjust it, then save a graded copy — the original is never touched.

Colour: Temperature and Tint plus a six-band colour mixer for reds through magentas, in the camera and in Look Studio. Highlights now hold their detail instead of blocking up under a strong look. (Pro)

Sound: stereo capture on supported iPhones, 48 kHz at a much higher bitrate, a microphone that turns with the picture so left and right always match, a live level meter while you record, and a warning when a connected mic can only record at call quality.

Shooting: pause and resume inside a single clip, press and hold to lock exposure and focus while you recompose, and long takes no longer end when the screen would have dimmed.
