## Most critical reviews (5 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — No longer working

*2024-01-10, version 4.2*

App opens and immediately closes on iPhone 5 iOS 12.5.7. Had worked previously so not sure which version corrupted the code. Strange since the aim is 3G phones which in most cases no longer get updated.

### 1/5 — Don’t bother

*2023-10-20, version 4.1*

This app is terrible. It is simply a clone of the website but it’s not formatted for iOS. This makes it clumsy and essentially of no value. Use the web dashboard instead.
Lum needs to build a data tool to allow their clients to analyze data usage. A simple tool to export data usage in a CSV format would suffice.

### 3/5 — Frustrating to use

*2023-05-01, version 4.0*

While the actual phone service itself has been good, the app is quite bad. This is obviously a web-app, not native. Scrolling is awful, menu buttons don’t follow OS patterns, it’s sluggish and ugly. For a digital service where customers interact with the company through the app, I would expect a much higher level of polish. Instead of a good user experience, the developers have prioritized ease of cross-platform development. Yuck.

### 4/5 — Easy set up

*2025-03-16, version 4.3*

I signed up today with Lum so don’t have long-term experience to share but it walked me through everything easily. Chatbot was more helpful than most. It was difficult to enter my PO Box address but eventually got it.

### 5/5 — Does what it should

*2024-07-07, version 4.2*

Although the app is clearly web based and it would be nice to have a native app instead, I can’t really complain about the functionality of it in its current state. There’s been a huge improvement after Lum recently updated the site and made it much more user friendly and made it much more functional - the app of course got the same improvements as the site did since it’s a web app. Overall no complaints whatsoever except just hoping that eventually Lum will make a native app for iOS instead of keeping it as a web app!
