### 3/5 — Pas de notification

*2026-06-28, version 2.1.28*

Les notifications ne fonctionne pas ce qui m’as fait manquer plusieurs rappels important c’est dommage parce que que l’app est bien

### 2/5 — Why does a planner have a subscription fee?

*2026-05-21, version 2.1.28*

The product looks great, and I have major ADHD, and want a tool that will better help me to organize my day-to-day life than apps like Google Keep/Tasks, which don’t have very much functionality beyond basic note taking and check-list creation. That said, I can’t justify spending $6/month on a planner app. If you go and buy a paper-based organizer you don’t go back to the store and pay $6 every month. I could maybe agree with a small annual fee, but beyond a one time charge, I find it aggravating that app-developers squeeze consumers for monthly payments on such simple products. I would have no problem paying $20 for the product. There is no way that you need to charge $6 to both make a profit, and maintain the app - it’s a planner, not helping me to split the atom.

### 5/5 — Thoughtful Productivity App

*2025-12-28*

Lunatask is the most thoughtful and intentional productivity app that I’ve come across yet. It takes task management to the next level by organizing tasks how they often come to us — in the context of a goal serving an Area of Life (aka Area of Focus in other productivity frameworks). That’s in addition to the many mundane spontaneous to-dos that pop up in everyday life. The thoughtful integration of practical Habit, Mood, Energy, and Emotion tracking features and the UX makes it more likely to actually use those features in a way that benefits you IRL. Don’t forget Notes and Journaling with the ability to keep everything worth remembering in context using backlinks and regular old hyperlinks. The documentation is fantastic. It makes getting the most out of the app nearly effortless. Tons of great productivity advice too. That reminds me of the ability to switch to any of several incredibly effective workflows at anytime. These go way beyond simple prioritization. The author can be proud of this work. I can tell there will be more great features to come. You can even contribute ideas!

### 5/5 — ADD live saver!

*2025-10-20, version 2.1.12*

Man, I cannot thank you enough for the app. ❤️❤️❤️❤️ While I’d love to have a web version, I definitely prefer real E2E encryption more. Thank you!!

### 5/5 — Great application

*2025-10-18, version 2.1.12*

This is probably the most feature-packed everything tracking application I have see to date. The UI is refined and you actually feel happy when using it. Kudos to the developer

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2025-09-22, version 2.1.8*

Nice flow and overall organization. Snappy, responsive, and E2E encryption for privacy. Hoping more in depth native functions/automations with apple shortcuts or zapier continue coming in the future. Easy to recommend!

### 5/5 — Always Evolving

*2025-08-29, version 2.1.5*

This planner had changed my life and made organisational task so much easier to navigate. It can be as simple or as complex as you like. The journal, habit tracker, calendar and planners are like having 4 apps all in one space that function the same, and are aesthetically the same. Great for my personal ADHD preferences. There is a great community forum for collaborative ideas, both from the creators and users. And it’s always being updated and improved. I think I’ll use this for life.

### 5/5 — BEST APP!

*2025-08-28, version 2.1.5*

Thank you !

### 5/5 — The organization app of my dreams

*2025-08-13*

Love how easily this app integrates between my phone and desktop. It’s exactly what I’ve been looking for. Easy to understand, best features aren’t stuck behind a paywall (free version is still very usable), data is stored safely, and its incredibly easy to add/move tasks around on my daily schedule. Also love the addition of the habit & mood trackers as well. This is so helpful for my Adhd brain without being overcomplicated!

### 5/5 — This one does it

*2025-08-04, version 2.1.5*

This app is the one that sticks and works compared to the 50+ alternatives.

### 5/5 — Outstanding

*2025-07-27*

I have worked with many planning systems both electronic and paper. LunaTask has captured a very human approach for planning and productivity and making connections. What’s more is that they actively improve their product. I recommend it highly.

### 5/5 — Awesome 🌈🌈🌈🌈

*2025-07-21, version 2.1.3*

I don't have to keep my important notes in Google keep now, hooray!!!

### 5/5 — The absolute best!

*2025-07-10, version 2.1.2*

With an easy to use API it allows you to automate so many things! Great for ADHD!

### 4/5 — Suchfunktion verbesserungswürdig

*2025-07-07, version 2.1.0*

### 4/5 — Journal sync not reliable

*2025-07-01, version 2.1.0*

There are journal sync reliability issues which result in changes made on one device not showing up on another device, or worse, being deleted when I open Lunatask on the other device. As a result, I hesitate to use the journal feature and the app is less useful than it could have been.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Hm

*2026-06-08, version 2.1.28*

Need to pay for any of the helpful options

### 1/5 — Dégoûtée

*2026-06-02, version 2.1.28*

J’ai perdu toutes mes notes hyper importantes lors de la mise à jour

### 1/5 — Maybe I am too old

*2026-01-09, version 2.1.18*

I can’t figure out to get started on this app.

### 1/5 — buggy as hell

*2026-01-08, version 2.1.18*

Among other problems, Lunatask manages to break buttons. They don't tap properly. Horrid UI. Busted email verification logic.

### 1/5 — Make it easy

*2025-07-12, version 2.1.2*

Most important part of to do lists
Which they call them self as better one is “ease of use “
Pack as much features but if this is not simple then throw this app , it’s absolutely time waste for a person who actually use for productivity
Unless this app works on making basic to do stuff simple all those feature are waste
Sorry not my app
Wasted money and time

### 1/5 — App Icon Options

*2025-06-07, version 2.0.22*

Give the freedom to have different Home Screen app icon options or customizations. This should be standard for every app in the App Store. It’s the only thing keeping me from using Lunatask.

### 1/5 — Good in theory

*2025-05-16*

I read a review of this app and thought it would meet my needs. I’m using another task app right now but it doesn’t have the Eisenhower Matrix or notes feature. I understand this is a premium feature and was fine paying the price advertised. Unfortunately the app did not allow me to purchase. There is an option that says Upgrade to Premium and on the bottom in small letters “restore purchase” but nothing happens. I tried going through the browser and purchasing that was and it just directed me to open the app. It’s a little bit too disorganized for an app that I would rely on to keep me organized.

**Developer response:** Hi there,
I'm so sorry to hear you were not able to upgrade. 😔
If you are still interested to try it out, please let us know via hello@lunatask.app and we can help set up a subscription. 🤗💙

### 1/5 — New iOS app (not through TestFlight) does not work

*2025-04-21, version 2.0.20*

The new iOS app is not working, it doesn't respond to clicks, I can't use the phone app version because of it only the desktop app

### 1/5 — Huge Disappointment

*2025-01-27, version 2.0.15*

Not well documented. Unable to test all features without paying. Great if all you are interested in is an encrypted diary.

### 1/5 — Steep learning curve

*2022-11-30, version 1.5.11*

I have used Apple Calendar, Google Calendar, Structured, Todoist, and others. Never had an issue with creating a task. With Lunatask, I could only figure out how to create habits. Habits are great, but I also need to get tasks done. I found it very confusing and I stayed for the whole tutorial. Was drawn to the ADHD-friendly perspective but not very user friendly. Going back to Google. Plus, no app for iphone. For us ADHD folks... out of sight, out of mind.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — I LOVE IT!

*2026-06-10, version 2.1.28*

I never write reviews, but this is legitimately everything I wanted in an app.

### 5/5 — So far looks great!

*2026-04-10, version 2.1.27*

Colours and descriptions match my brain!

### 5/5 — Fantastic

*2026-04-06, version 2.1.27*

I didn’t know I needed this tool. It has surpassed my expectations at task management.

### 5/5 — Love This App!

*2026-03-19, version 2.1.23*

I have been wanting an app like this for YEARS! It is a dream come true!

### 5/5 — Made me better

*2026-03-15*

I have been using this app for a few years after I bought the lifetime subscription. I use it on Linux, Mac and iOS to organize my things to do across different areas of life. It has notes, relationship tracker, habit tracker, and a bunch of little details that make it very customizable (for instance, I add to-dos for movies to watch by visiting the iamb page, or something similar, and clicking on a ,Firefox bookmarklet linked to my “movies” area of life).
On top of that, the developer is very responsive and seems very invested in making this software better. I’m sure I’ll keep using it for as long as I have things to do.

### 5/5 — Stopped my procrastination

*2026-03-11, version 2.1.24*

I love the minimalistic style of this app and the notes as well as the ability to sort the tasks based on dates, priorities etc. is amazing. I only have the free tier but it includes all of this which is more than enough. There’s also great syncing between laptop and phone and in general it’s a great app.

### 5/5 — Moved from Things 3

*2026-03-06, version 2.1.24*

10/10 recommend to start your journey with privacy and task tracking.

### 5/5 — Best All in one app, considering it’s E2E encrypted

*2026-02-26, version 2.1.24*

Takes a bit of getting used to. But worth the learning curve for all the awesome things it makes possible and it’s freeing to not have to worry about privacy.

### 5/5 — Brabo

*2026-02-06, version 2.1.21*

Diferente, mas eficiente

### 5/5 — This App is what I was searching for!!!

*2026-01-19, version 2.1.20*

Tbh I was a bit overwhelmed at the beginning - it is totally different than other tools (esp. Apple’s) BUT this is its value!

It just makes fun to understand the features of this app, whilst being not overstimulated by just doing the task!

Once I understood the main features, I can see myself investing in this app to support further development / updates! But the functionality is just amaaaaaziinnggg 🤩 personal CRM, Habits, journal, Tasks, Notes, Goals etc etc etc 🤩🤩🤩 this is app needs to be the mandatory for every phone! This needs to be shared to everyone!

Really well done and thank you for a good European alternative (esp. with encryption)!

Best wishes from Germany
