### 2/5 — Bring back Skewmorphic design

*2025-12-21, version 4.0.8*

Not so happy with the latest updates. I picked this up for the skewmorphic design and the fact that it was not a subscription model. Latest updates have removed both of those points. Now the app is a cluttered menu interface promoting features locked behind subscriptions. Certain features like triple camera mode aren’t replicated in other apps yet, but undoubtedly will be. Y’all didn’t need to try and be every part of the photography workflow, focus on emulating the hardware you once did or find a new group of core users.

### 4/5 — Promising app

*2025-04-20, version 3.1.3*

Full featured camera with a crazy ton amount of functions. Hope to get updates for the freezes soon. A fine work in progress.

### 2/5 — Crashes constantly

*2024-02-08, version 3.0.4*

I downloaded this app and it keeps crashing
Can the developer fix this issue please

### 3/5 — front camera

*2023-02-23, version 2.1.2*

in portrait mode when using the front camera, the blir and other settings take up half of the display can't see anything can't focus

### 1/5 — Junky App

*2023-01-28, version 2.0.9*

doesn’t do as promised in the description.
I am very disappointed!

### 4/5 — 48 mp

*2023-01-23, version 2.0.9*

I have iPhone 14 pro and iOs 16.2 and have set the camera to proraw and 4:3 aspect. I still get 12 mp photos. How do I get the 48 mp photos????

### 1/5 — Terrible

*2022-06-22, version 1.7.4*

After recent updates the app is terrible, very slow and has become buggy. The app keeps crashing even on the 13 pro max!! Don’t waste your money

### 4/5 — It does what it needs to

*2022-05-27, version 1.7.4*

The app is about what you would expect, it does what it needs to do. There’s hundreds of apps just like this out there with the same features it’s just a matter of finding one that suits you. I would have given 5 stars but the robot talking is annoying, and the UI honestly feels like I’m back on iOS 6. The visuals are honestly not appealing, from the camera textured backsplash to the gradients in the elements like the film canisters. But that doesn’t degrade the fact that the app does work.

**Developer response:** Hi Steve, Thank you very much for your review. I really value your opinion and turn into action in upcoming releases. Working on improved UI and UX. Thanks again best. 🤘🏽👌🏽

### 1/5 — The HDR is total trash

*2022-03-27, version 1.7.2*

This was the only reason I bought this app. The HDR takes forever to shoot four Photos of different exposure and if your area is dark it will leave artificial shadows… I have an iPhone 13 Pro and this app still crashes because of memory issues…

### 2/5 — D.Harrison

*2022-03-06, version 1.7.1*

Hard to find your way around the app. It’s all over the place.

### 1/5 — Last update issue

*2022-02-18, version 1.6.7*

I bought the app a few weeks ago and now it doesn't open anymore. the app is very slow and has many options that are not explained

### 1/5 — Don’t get this

*2022-02-13, version 1.6.6*

Just got the app and tried it, already errors in snapping saying memory is full and can’t take the photo, need my refund

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Old design

*2026-04-02, version 4.0.8*

I liked the old design and why do I have to pay again if I paid years back I understand you’re a solo developer but now I have to pay again

### 1/5 — This Developer killed his own app. Sadly.

*2025-12-06, version 4.0.6*

Update:

The developer killed the best camera app from the App Store. Why? Maybe he was greedy or maybe he thought his strategy was great to get a steady income. The reason is not important, what it is important is the fact that he sacrificed one of the best camera apps instead of create another one. Basically he decided if I can’t have a monthly income then no one would enjoy my app. This is now the most horrible made app in the history of camera apps I ever used, bad UI/UX, bad learning curve and bad results. Please bring the previous version, this one sucks. Seriously.

Old Review:

Why Apple didn’t create the default camera app like this one? This app will change the way you take pictures forever. Excellent app.

### 1/5 — Crash all the time

*2025-04-18, version 3.1.3*

Not even open.

### 1/5 — Sadly, an absolute trainwreck

*2025-03-24, version 3.1.3*

This app is an absolute disgrace, where are the positive reviews coming from?

On paper it looks great and I really wanted to like it, but there are some major things wrong with it:

First off, it works more or less on my iPhone, but not on my iPad Pro (same iOS on both).

On startup it asks me for permissions, after that it crashes immediately. When I start it again, I see the logo for a split second then it crashes again every time. Tried reinstalling and everything with the same result.

Trying to make panoramas, most of the time it starts "optimising" for 30 seconds, then tells me that I need to take the images in landscape mode. Which I did of course!

IF for some reason it works, I end up with every photo taken plus TWO slightly different panoramas on my camera roll. WHY? I want ONE panorama, nothing else.

UI/UX in general is impossibly bad and inconsistent. For instance the "busy" animation often keeps spinning even if there is nothing to wait for anymore and the only option is to exit. I tried reading the user manual, but instead I get a disclaimer in turkish or something that I can't read.

I have no idea if this is going to be fixed or adresssed in any way, if so I am ready to update this review accordingly. Meanwhile I am just happy that I did not pay full price.

### 1/5 — Doesn’t open

*2025-03-06, version 3.1.3*

M2 iPad, it crashes every time I attempt to open. App Store says it works on this iPad, not so.

### 1/5 — Crashes

*2024-12-08, version 3.1.2*

The app is CTD as soon as I open it.

### 1/5 — It needs more effect and filters

*2024-03-02, version 3.0.6*

Not great as published. And the price is high for nothing special in it

### 1/5 — Fake app

*2024-01-26*

This is a total scam and shouldn’t be on AppStore,
Can’t refund

### 1/5 — El crapo del toro

*2023-12-09, version 2.1.9*

Don’t waste your money & time with this crap app. You can’t keep the edited version of your video.
The demo stinks!!!!

### 1/5 — Never tray

*2023-02-21, version 2.1.1*

I bought this app from the app store for $7.00 but it is not taking pictures or recording videos. Please don't buy this app, your money will be garbage

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Muy bueno

Me gusta este software excelente programa

### 5/5 — This app is so good that you can’t believe it.

*2024-02-18*

Why Apple didn’t create the default camera app like this one? This app will change the way you take pictures forever. Excellent app.

### 5/5 — My Favorite Photo App!

*2024-01-23, version 3.0.1*

This app is great! I love the sharpness and clarity I get using ProRAW on my 15 pro max. I can take a photo of my sofa with the 48mp 24mm lens from 6 feet away and see every thread and fiber. That’s how precise this app focuses. Other third party apps don’t come as close to the clarity and image quality as I get with Luwain. The controls are easy and very detailed with precise adjustments. Manual focus with focus peeking is very precise with fine adjustments. I haven’t used this app in HEIF or JPEG yet because I only shoot Raw. I you are a fan of ProRAW then I highly recommend this app. I’m sure it’s great when using JPEG or HEIF. There are other features I haven’t used as of yet because I mostly focus on single frame images. I plan to test the HDRI feature soon… again, great app!

### 5/5 — This app is so good that you can’t believe it.

### 5/5 — Total Waste of Money

*2023-02-27, version 2.1.3*

I usually try to give only positive reviews, but this app is really annoying. It’s crashing all the time. I am unable to take even a single picture. It’s gets stuck even if I switch off and restart the phone. I request the developers to kindly refund my money and take this app back. I am ready to purchase it again once all the issues have been fixed. Thank you

### 5/5 — Dude! Amazing

*2023-02-24, version 2.1.2*

You have outdone yourself bro, it has everything my Sony camera would have and I’m very surprised how well the auto focus work! Definitely worth the money

### 5/5 — Fantastic!

*2023-02-11, version 2.1.0*

As a professional photographer, I have used many different apps for better control over my iPhone camera. With the iPhone 14 pro max and it’s 48mp resolution, this app has been a fantastic tool for me. The auto focus is spot on, tap to focus is spot on. My images are tack sharp. I have several pro apps like Halide, ProCamera, etc that perform very well, but many times the focus has to be done manually, especially with Halide because the focus brackets are just too wide. With Luwian, the focus is the best I’ve seen so far. I use the BeastCage from BeastGrip equipped with the 1.7x tele converter lens and this app achieves perfect focus. With this setup, the focus is close with the other apps, but not close enough. The exposure compensation slider is is broken down into small segments, so precise EV can be achieved. The app is very well designed and is my new favorite go to app. I’m still getting to know the other areas of the app, so far I am very impressed. The app has manual focus as well, but it needs focus peeking to help with fine tune focus. The other app I use have focus peeking, but on Halide and pro camera, the peeking color is too broad and isn’t as helpful. Hopefully Luwian will have focus peeking soon for manual focus. Luwian is a joy to use, I highly recommend especially if you shoot ProRAW with the iPhone 14 Pro series. Those 48mp files are tack sharp!!!

**Developer response:** Hi, Thank you very much for this detailed and constructive review. Getting review from a professional helps a lot. I keep developing, improving updating the Luwian every week and i will carefully implement your suggestions. Thanks again best.

### 5/5 — From a Pro…

*2022-01-15, version 1.6.4*

ok so I’ve had quite a bit of time to give this a go and I have to say this is actually quite a well designed app. There are very few aspects of it that I would say need improvement, but just like anything, this could use a little tweaking here and there, but overall, it’s excellent!! It makes my life a whole lot easier, instead of carrying my SLR equipment everywhere, I now use this and a small manfrotto monopod when just out and about and want to capture something. The interface with the watch works quite well, although is dependent on the signal, but is to be expected. Here’s the thing. If you want professional shots but don’t need to carry around thousands in lenses, lighting, bodies, and other equipment, then this is 100% what you need. I would endorse this app all day long!! It can be as simple or as diverse as you need it to be, has all the features of a DSLR yet can be as simple as a point and shoot.

### 5/5 — Amazing All-In-One Camera App!

*2021-08-13, version 1.5.8*

This is by far one of the most intuitive, we'll put together camera apps out there. I really like how it embraces the vision of meshing oldskool with new. Tons of control and options and thank goodness for the built in tool tip I love it, was able to find my way around and know what each thing did, thanks for that. There's even a tutorial section to help get you going with what you'd like to achieve.

The filters are really nice giving you that old film look which I love and the cinematic ones are awesome. A lot of thought went into this I can tell and the quality is excellent!

Trust me, you will NOT be disappointed!

### 5/5 — Would buy it again.

*2021-07-15, version 1.5.5*

I own quite few photo shooting apps and this one, its design and ideas, the creative way of shooting options are fun and inspiring. The filters and themes of the app are also great. Thanks and keep it up!!
