In situations that require 60 second exposure for iso400, f11, it still gives 8 seconds. Try this experiment: move the spot along a brightness gradient. Or change your computer monitor brightness. You'll never see a number /- 3 away from those values. Tested it on 3 different iPhones. When we make our measurements, the app makes an initial measurement that is WAY too high that spikes the Max value. That Max value then overweights the average Lux value that we’re trying to get. Now they’ve changed it and it’s just a big mess that doesn’t do what I paid for. Just a bunch of junk I don’t need and no instructions on how to get the old light meter back. It has a latency effect so that when you move from one direction to another the previous reading effects the new reading. I tested it dozens of times and it was inconsistent on the same object even from very close to it. It even gave higher readings on a black tar road than the sky. Readings were so inconsistent I couldn’t trust anything. Then again everyone that’s complaining about paying for this app(which is completely worth it) don’t even tip your servers at restaurants or bartenders after they close. To ingenious developers of this app do not worry about those cheap cable stealing complainers. As a nursery owner with several greenhouses I think this is probably one of the best light measuring devices for both indoor and outdoor besides the $109 cheap ones that won’t take a sneeze let alone outdoor use without a complete meltdown.
