## What is Lux Meter?

Get a real light reading in seconds — no separate meter to carry, no subscription, no guesswork.

Lux Meter turns your phone into an accurate light meter for photography, film, and video. Point it at your subject (or at yourself, from the subject's position) and see a live reading in lux, footcandles, or EV — the same information a handheld exposure meter gives you, built into the device already in your pocket.

FEATURES
• Live light reading, updated in real time
• Choose your unit: lux, footcandles, or EV (ISO 100)
• At-a-glance light gauge, from total darkness to bright sun
• A simple history graph, so you can see how light changes across a scene or over time
• Show only what you need — toggle the reading, gauge, and graph on or off

HOW IT WORKS
iOS estimates exposure from the camera's own auto-exposure metering (aperture, shutter speed, and ISO) — the same principle a handheld reflected-light meter uses.

Built for film photographers and cinematographers who want a fast, reliable exposure check — and just as useful for anyone who wants to understand the light in a room, on a stage, or on a set.

PRIVACY
No accounts, no analytics, no ads. Nothing you do in this app ever leaves your device — see the full privacy policy for details.

Lux Meter is free to use. Duane Enterprises, LLC retains all rights to the app; see the in-app About screen for full license details.
