## What is LuxMeter?

LuxMeter turns your iPhone camera into a precise light meter, giving you instant illuminance readings in lux, foot-candles, or exposure value (EV). Whether you are checking lighting conditions for work, photography, or plant care, LuxMeter delivers real-time measurements derived directly from your camera's exposure metadata using the industry-standard APEX formula.

The live gauge updates continuously as you move the camera, and the automatic brightness category — from Moonlight to Direct Sun — tells you at a glance what kind of environment you are in. Hold any reading to freeze the display and share it, or save a session to keep a timestamped log of your measurements.
