## What is Luxstop?

Luxstop measures the light with your iPhone camera and tells you which settings to use on your own camera, for photo and video. The buying guide lets you search and compare cameras, lenses and accessories.

METER
• Exposure value (EV) from the real shutter speed, ISO and aperture of your iPhone camera
• Shutter speed, aperture and ISO advice per subject: portrait, landscape, sports, street, macro and night/stars
• Takes your lens, stabilization, tripod and ISO range into account, with the handheld rule and the 500 rule for stars
• Color temperature in Kelvin and the matching white balance preset
• Histogram, zebra, rule-of-thirds grid and a button to lock the reading
• Detects backlight, high contrast, flickering lights and flat light

VIDEO
• The 180° rule as a starting point, and when to break it: 90° (50p at 1/200) for crisp sports footage and slow motion, 45° for rain and water, 360° in low light
• How many stops of ND filter you need
• Flicker-free shutter speeds for the mains frequency in your region (50 or 60 Hz)

GOLDEN AND BLUE HOUR
• When golden hour and blue hour fall today where you are

ACADEMY
• 79 lessons in two tracks: photography and videography
• Photography: exposure, composition, light, speedlights, white balance and color, sharpness and lenses, outdoor and night
• Videography: shutter speed and frame rate, exposure and color, audio, editing, drones and action cams
• Beginner and intermediate lessons are free, with example photos and step-by-step instructions

BUYING GUIDE
• 1,069 cameras, 1,197 lenses and a selection of accessories
• Filter by brand, mount, sensor size, crop factor, resolution, ISO, video features, ports, IP rating, weight and price
• Review summaries in our own words, with links to the full reviews
• Up to five shops per product, sorted by price
• Star ratings and comments from other photographers

LUXSTOP PRO
• Your own camera and lens from the buying guide in the advice: crop factor, highest usable ISO and stabilization
• False color in the viewfinder: see which parts are too dark, right or too bright
• Light planner: golden and blue hour for any date, with the direction of the sun
• Academy masterclasses: speedlights, editing, cinematic drone moves, action cams and more

Pro is available monthly or yearly (the yearly plan starts with a 7-day free trial), or as a one-time purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period in your Apple Account settings. After the free trial the yearly price is charged unless you cancel before it ends.
