The pricing beats the competition and the quality of service is top notch. The entire concept of this great. It’s like a hybrid of a premium car/limo service with the app and convenience of something like Uber/Lyft. I made a critical error during my booking and a real person caught it and notified me of the problem. They were able to correct it within seconds and update the booking in my app all while being super nice about it. Thank you!!! ### 5/5 — To and from SeaTac airport for the family *2024-12-01* I have 5 adults in my family and we all fit comfortably in the suburban and we each had 2 carry on luggage and had 2 large bags that were checked in. The vehicles were clean and fresh, and the drivers were in suits and were very professional. I was notified ahead of time that a driver was assigned and again when they are on the way. When getting picked up from the airport, I liked that I could communicate directly with the driver of our progress from landing and all the way through customs. We had a wonderful ride with him. He made the ride to the Seattle airport extremely pleasant. ### 5/5 — Great service, great prices, everywhere *2024-03-22* An update on pricing versus UberX. I recently compared the cost of having Luxy take me from home to JFK and from LaGuardia home and the price was virtually the same as using plain old UberX. Price isn’t much more than regular Uber from my house and I know I’m getting a new well maintained car driven by a professional driver. If you need to call their office team they are terrific. Best of all I can book a car anywhere in the country from one app. No more figuring out how to get from the airport to the hotel and back again! ### 5/5 — 5 Stars *2023-07-28* Used this app to get to and from the airport for my honeymoon and couldn’t have been more pleased! I was traveling with my two children (2 and 7 months) and needed a forward facing toddler seat and an infant seat, which I had on my reservation. When my driver arrived she had a booster seat - NOT a forward facing toddler seat, and a very old infant car seat that did not tighten properly. This is unacceptable and a huge safety risk. I wanted other families to be aware. ### 1/5 — Almost never actually works *2026-06-30* Booked and paid ride gets an actual driver and ride less than half the time, only works well in areas where there are already better options you can book directly. Frequently leaves booked and paid customers without a ride at the last minute despite booking days in advance. One of the few times it worked tried a blatantly false charge for passenger turning up late ### 1/5 — Driver *2025-10-23, version 3.9.7* Their rates are very low, it’s below standard. They charge much to their clients but….. ### 1/5 — They don’t pay drivers as they should. *2024-10-16* WARNING: Do not use Luxy as a ride-sharing service! They have been reported to not pay their drivers the tips that customers are charged for. Luxy is falsely charging customers for tips and keeping the money for themselves instead of paying it to the drivers. This is a scam and drivers are speaking up to warn customers. Do not support this dishonest and unethical company. Use a different ride-sharing service that values and pays their drivers properly. ### 1/5 — Cancelled last minute for my wedding *2024-09-19* After reading some reviews, I was hesitant to book because some people said their rides were cancelled last minute. I even called and was assured it would not be cancelled (which I was obviously still skeptical about, because I knew it couldn’t be guaranteed like I was told). Less than 24 hours later, my ride was cancelled and I’m left scrambling trying to find transportation home from my wedding. ### 1/5 — They don’t pay drivers as they should. *2024-07-21* Drivers are not receiving their tips at this company, which is unacceptable. The company is essentially stealing the drivers' hard-earned money, which is unethical and dishonest. This needs to be addressed and corrected immediately. ### 1/5 — Good concept, dangerous driver *2024-05-31* The idea of consolidating black car resources and providing them to consumers at reasonable prices via attractive and functional software is great, but the actual product, the ride, should be safe and professional. We were lucky to avoid an accident that could have resulted in injury or death. Saving money is great, but not at the cost of safety. Pros: easy booking, good pre-trip communication, smooth adjustment of airport pickup time based on airline’s adjusted arrival time, clean car, well-groomed driver. Cons: unsafe driver who exceeded speed limit by 30 mph, passed on right shoulder, tailgated and wove through traffic; no means of customizing tip; unrealistic projected trip duration; no realtime app tracking of vehicle; no “safety button” in app for realtime feedback. Presumably, the drivers are independent contractors who are wholly responsible for driving certification and liability. One bad apple might not spoil the whole barrel - but one bad driver could kill you. ### 1/5 — Useless app *2023-12-25, version 3.6.8* App has potential, but doesn’t work lol. Don’t use, you’ll just wait your time ### 1/5 — Awful *2021-08-23* I use a lot of black cars for myself, family and company for transport to and from the airports in the nyc area. I understand air travel related auto transportation is always tough because of flight delays , connections , etc, so I’ve always followed the mantra of communicating early and often to our car companies. Some employees and I were returning from international work travel. We had booked our outgoing and return airport transportation via Luxy. The trip out was fine, but the first leg of our (12 hour) return air travel was delayed six hours, endangering our connection. I immediately notified Luxy of the change. Surprise surprise the leg was delayed further and there was no way to make our connection. I immediately notified Luxy. The airline did not immediately rebook us on a new connecting flight. Because I didn’t have this info, Luxy refused to make any changes to our car reservation and the poor driver still showed up at JFK (despite Luxy acknowledging their understanding that we would still be on the other side of the country). They refused to adjust our reservation and charged us regardless. Zero stars for these guys. ### 5/5 — Professional service *2026-07-12, version 3.10.6* Great comfortable ride. On Christmas Eve I called with a desperation regarding to find a asked if it was possible to get a ride to another city that was 250 miles away! It was a long shot, but I thought I'd give it a try. Within ~ 20 minutes I got call back letting me know the driver would pick me up at 6:00!!! I was thrilled, to say the least! The ride itself was very pleasant. The driver was mindful of my needs. He was polite and interesting. He was the perfect blend of an engaging personality but not overly chatty. He was a very good driver under less than ideal conditions.
