I’ve had to delete and reinstall the app Makes me want to cancel my subscription **Developer response:** There is a case open for this problem. Than you go back to app and it’s locked up. Called for help and told the same as everyone else. Uninstall and reinstall. Some days I have the current edition of the newspaper, and others I have error messages telling me my login is incorrect. This morning I only get a black screen when I open the app and I can’t see the current or past issues. When clicking on articles no longer opens to full page article is in small box and cant read any better than scrolling page by page like previous edition and now paying 35% more monthly for e-edition not a great value when app not as user friendly! **Developer response:** You can download the paper for offline if you go to lvrj.com/eedition on your browser and then select the option in the 3 dots menu in the upper right. You can also download the paper for offline if you are in the RJ NEWS app, click on EPAPER and select the option from the 3 dots menu in the upper right. Please review those options. Thanks. ### 1/5 — Love the RJ, but hate the unwanted full page “takeover” ads ... *2020-12-16, version 1.0.11* I love reading the RJ and the Sun, both great papers. But ... lately the website has been unexpectedly showing full page pop up ads that I didn’t request, and I can’t clear the page and get back to the paper unless I delete and then reload the app, which I shouldn’t have to do, as a digital subscriber. Thank you. ### 1/5 — It stopped working on 10-30-2020 *2020-11-01, version 1.0.11* App won’t boot up to the eEdition. Starts at a log-in/activation screen and will not accept user name/password. Sent an web-based email requesting tech support, but no response. Thank you. ### 1/5 — Too hard to manage *2018-08-17, version 1.0.11* Very difficult site to work through. One third of page is advertising that apparently cannot be removed according to RJ. Page too fast and site goes black. ### 2/5 — No more sharing allowed *2020-08-30, version 1.0.11* An “upgrade” to this app in April made it impossible to copy/share any more articles even though the Share icon is still displayed. Three calls to the LVRJ were unsuccessful in getting resolved. The only way to share now is through the digital website. **Developer response:** Thank you for your comment. The share buttons are not working for iOs but the developers are working on this problem. ## Most praised reviews (4 highest-rated) ### 2/5 — New version worst yet *2018-08-25, version 1.0.11* LVRJ updates app often, and every update makes it worse. The current version is the worst yet. The replica pages are now stuck on the right two-thirds of the screen and can’t be enlarged. The left third is scrolling headlines of minor stories and ads, but don’t click on a headline: you can’t get back to the replica or any other story. Have to delete the app and reload. RJ should hire real web designers. One star is too high a rating. ### 2/5 — JR app *2018-07-11, version 1.0.10* Won’t load.??. ### 2/5 — Too many ads, *2017-10-30, version 1.0.10* Digital video ads. Why. I’m paying for a subscription, yet I have to tolerate constant ads at top of page and in between pages. Considering cancelling my subscription. ### 2/5 — Blurry *2017-10-28, version 1.0.10* If the pages could be sharpened it would be a great app. Right now the pages are a bit blurry.
