### 3/5 — Love most of the app but …

*2026-07-18*

The bot and app are pretty good. I have a few complaints. When connecting to my eero mesh network with 5ghz off. The app shows full WiFi signal and then repeatedly fails to connect. When I turn on mow in the rain. The bot does mow and then constantly fails to find the base or consistently send charging stopped unexpectedly. A few other minor inconveniences not worth mentioning with these two big hitters.

I ended up setting up a 2.4ghz access point (AP) just for the lymow and that worked. As for the rain, the only two options are to leave it sitting when it rains or the lawn has dew on it, or go out and dry it well with a towel which mitigates the usefulness of the bot quite a bit.

### 3/5 — Good with a few flaws

*2026-07-03*

Good mower for rural areas - could be so much better.
This mower is a lifesaver for an old person with a hilly property. It handles most of the terrain quite well, and if GPS were built in to the unit (instead of the outdated RTK pole) it would be SO. Much. Better. I have the One Plus and I also have the Dream AWD so have a good comparison for the same property. The Dreame does ok on the country lawn and handles the terrain but the smaller blades just don’t handle the thicker country green in summer. The Dreame has GPS built in, keeps the WiFi signal well and the Bluetooth most of the time. The Lymo does the perfect mow as long as the sky is heavily clouded or as long as it doesn’t get out of range from the RTK. The Lymo app is OK on the basic settings and the most recent update says it added Split Map among other things - but I still can’t use that because apparently the firmware is out of date, so the tech is still quite buggy.
I’d say of these two machines were combined - the Lymo tank style with true blades and the Dreame connectivity tech I would have a near perfect machine. I could write so much more about both of these mowers. Overall the One Plus does the job most of the time but has its issues - as all robot mowers do. It is still a time saver and with a little management on my part is still well worth it. If I had been able to wait until the Two is released I would have but needed this badly due to a bad knee that made mowing by hand impossible. At least with this machine my home looks well cared for, and I like the One Plus but just wish the app had all the features that others do. I also wish it were gray instead of black—can’t believe how hot it gets in summer sun.
I did take the side cover off due to grass clogs and have had zero issues there since. I have had this machine now 4 months, and still very glad I got it, but also glad I got the other one as well, to see which type mower works best for my needs, I have about 4.5 acres total that need mowing all on hilly ground.

### 2/5 — Firmware is a problem

*2026-05-26*

Amazing product. When it works. Customer service is impossible to get a hold of and firmware updates have far too many kinks that need to be worked out. Basically I have a brick right now.

### 4/5 — Lymow one and one plus

*2026-05-09*

Both mowers are working well. The Lymow one required user modifications to eliminate continuous cleaning of charging plates. The one plus updated charging system is working well. Both mowers required adjusting of track system to eliminate potential drive wheel failure due to grass build up on idle wheel creating damaging tension on the system, I found loosening the track system to the degree it appeared the track might come off works good, they haven’t come off.

These mowers are maintaining 2.5 acres with fast growing spring grass with minimal user involvement.

This Lymow App functions well and after a small amount of learning curve provides excellent management of the Lymow mowers.

### 2/5 — Intuitive Design?????

*2026-05-02*

There is nothing intuitive about this app. It baffles me that software designers are still making terrible apps. There are so many things that are cumbersome I’m not even about begin to list them.

### 3/5 — Needs more features

*2026-03-29*

Needs a widget with current status and battery percent. App needs weather integration, with auto delays. Need estimated runtime remaining, estimated charge time before resume.

### 3/5 — À améliorer

*2025-12-15, version 2.1.21*

### 4/5 — 1st day - fail

*2025-10-02*

The instructions have you install the charging station, staked into the ground. Then you pair the station to the app and the QR code is hidden due to charger position against the wall.

To make things worse after unstaking the charging station the QR code is unreadable. Tried to manually enter the serial number and it won’t take it.

Sent an email on 9/15 to customer service. No phone number to call.

Will report out once service responds

They responded within a day. There are several QR codes to scan. The Quick Setup Guide was not clear. I suggest reading the instructions first.

This mower is not perfect, but it’s doing a pretty good job mowing my back yard, 1.5 acres around ponds and trees and a golf course green.

Twice now it returned to the charging station, not centered correctly so there is a bit of babysitting required.

### 4/5 — A good start

*2025-09-08*

There are a few quirks and issues with the app, but regular updates are improving the experience. The app & mower are still in the early adopter phase but have lots of potential. As long as they keep iterating and improving this will be the autonomous mower & app to beat.

### 5/5 — Early Adopters

*2025-09-03*

Being early on this bandwagon means hiccups, but all in all, I’m impressed with the hardware and software.

The app navigation concept is a bit muddled, going from right to left to right instead of one direction, but I can find things eventually.

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Help desk

*2026-07-03, version 3.0.8*

Need better customer service. Email only doesn’t hack it.

### 1/5 — Solid hardware, but HORRIBLE app! 🔥

*2026-04-25*

This apps workflow is absolutely horrible. Features like splitting and merging zones have been “coming soon” forever! When controlling the mower with the joystick pads it runs at the slowest speed possible, making mapping take way longer than it should. Editing an existing zone is nearly impossible, so you have to delete it and recreate it. I had high hopes for this solution because I really like the hardware, but this app is not receiving any real attention.

### 1/5 — No WiFi Connectivity

*2026-04-10, version 3.0.5*

The latest version of this app is horrible. It will not locate my or anyone else’s WiFi in my neighborhood. The app version that I had last fall worked. I need a fix now! My mower is now unusable Lymow!

### 1/5 — Love it

*2026-04-09, version 3.0.5*

I love my lymow, I have a hill that I hate mowing, it does it with breeze, most awesome tool I own

### 1/5 — Doesn’t work. AVOID

*2025-11-05, version 2.1.19*

Updated my app today. Now I have ZERO functionality. No longer connecting to device. Turns your mower into a ‘paperweight’.

### 1/5 — Needs a lot of work

*2025-10-09, version 2.1.17*

This thing is not as an as intuitive as those influencers make it out to be I’ve been working with this thing for about three weeks now still can’t work the kinks out of it 2500 dollars

### 1/5 — 1st day - fail

### 1/5 — Needs a lot of work!

*2025-09-05*

Not sure where to start with this app, so many issues. One major issue is that the app does not allow you to view the mower’s camera or manually control the mower over the internet. This makes it unsafe to operate the mower when you are not home to watch it because it routinely drives out of bounds into the road and then just stops and you get an error notification. You are unable to move the robot out of the street unless you are there within Bluetooth range so it must set out in the street until you get home from work and you just have to hope it isn’t ran over or worse causes an accident. It’s a safety hazard to be unable to move the robot remotely over internet. I’m not saying we should be able to engage the blades and mow, but we should definitely be able to view the camera and move the robot over the internet. That’s just common sense.

### 1/5 — Not satisfied

*2025-08-27*

Very poor setup guidelines and guidance. Took me all day to get one section of map plotted and mowed. We need an actual person to talk to in order to setup. The app and instruction videos help but you need to give step by step instructions. also trying to guide the mower with the app isn’t good at all. Finally the charging base came broken and I had to tape the back on . Packing and shipping need to be addressed.

### 2/5 — Unobstructed RTK Good, Obstructed RTK Bad

*2026-05-31*

Here’s the reality: Lymow is probably still 1–2 years away from becoming a truly reliable autonomous mower for all environments.

The company has built what is arguably one of the strongest hardware foundations in the robotic mower market, but its software remains in the early stages of development. When you purchase a first- or second-generation robotic mower, you’re voluntarily accepting the growing pains that come with being an early adopter. Over time, through customer feedback, real-world testing, and software updates, the product will improve significantly—but it’s not fully there yet.

As the title suggests, if your property is relatively open and unobstructed, with minimal tree cover and clear boundaries, your experience with Lymow will likely be very good. However, if your yard includes mature trees, dense canopy cover, deep landscape bed edges, overhanging shrubs, or other challenging features—which describes many residential properties—be prepared for some frustration.

At times, the mower may lose positioning accuracy, get stuck, cross into flower beds, or stop unexpectedly when it loses reliable access to navigation signals. These issues are not necessarily hardware limitations; they are largely software and navigation challenges that can be improved over time.

There are several paths forward. Lymow can continue refining the handoff between RTK and VSLAM navigation, improve AI-based boundary recognition when signal quality deteriorates, and potentially explore additional sensing technologies such as LiDAR in future generations. None of these problems are unsolvable.

But this is the reality of being an early adopter: you’re helping test and shape the future of the product while living with its current limitations.

So either enjoy the ride and expect occasional bumps along the way, or wait another 1–2 years for the software to mature and for most of today’s bugs and edge cases to be addressed.

## Most praised reviews (10 highest-rated)

### 5/5 — Steady Improvements

*2026-07-24*

The app and software has steadily been improving with input from customers. I had some issues at first, mainly hardware. Those issues have been resolved and the mower is now functioning great.

### 5/5 — Mower okish app decent

*2026-07-04*

Needs alot of babysitting but when it works its great. The app is decent they put some real work into it

### 5/5 — ⚡️⚡️⚡️

*2026-07-03, version 3.0.8*

Love the app

### 5/5 — App is great but no support

*2026-06-22*

“Update: I am changing my review from 1 star to 5 for the app since they let you have so much control. They are constantly updating it and the firmware. Lymow finally replaced my mower with the plus version. I can tell it seems to drive smoother and seems to cut better. Below is my original review.” - The app is great. Lots of features. Some may not like so many features. I give a one star because my mower has no WiFi or Bluetooth connection since I got it out of storage over the winter. Support has stopped responding. Over a month and a half since I started this support case.

### 5/5 — Working well on my property

*2026-06-10*

I was hesitant to buy One Plus after seeing all the negative reviews. But I have about 8k sqft lawn with steep terrain and it was very hard to mow manually (took 3-4 hours) and LOT of sweat!

I decided to bite the bullet and buy it and I am so happy I did!! My lawn has never looked better before (even after hours of work). Its been over a month I have been running it at least twice a week it does amazing job.

Your mileage may vary but I am extremely happy with this so far!

### 5/5 — Love my Lymow

*2026-03-19*

This mower is amazing. The app is constantly getting better and the latest update has been amazing. I highly recommend Lymow!

### 5/5 — Frequent update

*2025-12-17, version 2.1.21*

It’s a pretty well done first version.

### 5/5 — Yard looks amazing

*2025-11-07, version 2.1.20*

This robotic mower takes a bit of care to get properly installed but once implemented does a great job with little involvement. Then again if you’re not willing to spend the required effort up front you will likely have a poor experience

### 5/5 — My favorite thing!

*2025-11-05*

Absolutely love my mower and in love with the customer support received when needed. They continue to develop the app and while it’s obvious, it’s not a completely finished product. It is usable and intuitive and improves regularly.

### 5/5 — I love this thing

*2025-10-21*

So this mower is new and so is the app so you have to take it with a grain of salt and expect a few bugs but the company is actively fixing things as they come up and there is a wonderful community full of people full of ideas and help the quality of the cut is beyond my expectation and the mower has held up extremely well so far I’m very happy I purchased this. My yard has some slopes and hills so it’s difficult to cut but the mower handles them really well set up is a little bit challenging but once you get used to the app and what you have to do, it’s not bad I would buy it again or I would still recommend it to anybody over any other robot mower, especially if you have slopes and I absolutely love having real lawnmower, blades and tracks
