## What is LynCare?

LynCare is a private coordination app for self-directed home care.

Self-direction puts the participant in charge — their care, their choice, their voice. LynCare is built around that: the participant, their caregivers, and their Care Manager all work from one clear, shared picture of what's been done and what's coming up.

Built for participant-directed Medicaid care (Idaho's A&D and DD Waiver programs), LynCare brings shifts, medications, tasks, notes, and team communication into one secure place — replacing scattered texts, notebooks, and whiteboards.

WHO IT'S FOR
LynCare is used by an invited care circle:
• Participants directing their own care
• Caregivers they hire
• Care Managers who oversee the arrangement

Access is by invitation — you'll need an invite or access code from your Care Manager to join a circle.

WHAT YOU CAN DO
• Shifts — clock in and out, see who's on shift, and hand off at the end of a shift
• Medications — keep scheduled (eMAR) and as-needed (PRN) administration records, with missed-dose tracking
• Tasks — manage daily and recurring tasks across the whole team
• Daily notes — log what happened during a shift and control who can see each note
• Health events — record and notify the team of a mild, moderate, or severe concern
• Team communication — share updates and broadcasts with the people who need them
• Calendar — keep appointments and schedules in one place
• Notifications — stay on top of medications, notes, and anything that needs attention

PRIVATE BY DESIGN
LynCare handles sensitive care information, so privacy is built in: per-note visibility controls, role-based access, on-device PIN lock, and a clear record of who did what and when. You stay in control of your circle's data.

Access requires an invitation from a Care Manager.

## Version history (last 5 releases)

### 1.7.0 — 2026-08-30

AS-NEEDED MEDICATIONS: LIMITS THAT MATCH REAL CARE

An as-needed medication can now carry a rolling limit — an
amount and a time window, with an optional second limit
(for example, 2 tablets per 4 hours and 8 per 24 hours).

Give 1 tablet of an allowed 4, then 2 more half an hour
later, and the app reads it as 3 of 4 — not as two separate
rule-breaks. The card tells you what you can give right now:
"2 tablets available now", or "5h 0m until 4 tablets
available" once the window is full. Going over still routes
through the same approval your role uses today.

Existing medications are untouched. When you edit one you'll
be offered a one-time switch, and before anything is saved
the app spells out exactly what changes.

SEE WHY A DOSE WAS GIVEN

Tap any as-needed medication card to see the doses in the
current stretch — amount, time, who gave it, and the reason
typed at the time. The reason was always recorded; it just
had nowhere to be seen.

LONG NOTIFICATIONS, READ IN FULL

An override request with a detailed reason used to get cut
off after three lines — before you approved or denied it.
Anything that runs long now has a Read more link.

BREAK ROOM

Cracking the word lock finally feels like it: falling petals
and a panel showing the lock you beat, whether you did it
without losing a heart, and your streak.

### 1.6.1 — 2026-08-21

Sign-in fixes, including one that has been locking people out since the iPhone app launched.

SIGN IN WITH GOOGLE NOW WORKS ON IPHONE AND IPAD
Tapping "Sign in with Google" used to close the app instantly — no account picker, no error, nothing on screen to explain it. If you created your account with Google and then installed LynCare on an iPhone or iPad, you had no way in at all. That's fixed.

SIGN-IN ERRORS TELL YOU WHAT ACTUALLY WENT WRONG
Any problem the app didn't specifically recognise used to say "Invalid email or password," sending people off to reset a password that was never the problem. Unexpected failures now show a short code you can quote to support instead.

EMAIL VERIFICATION IS CONSISTENT ACROSS SIGN-IN METHODS
Signing in with Google or Apple now handles an unverified email the same way signing in with a password does. Nothing changes if your email is already verified.

INVITING A CARE MANAGER NO LONGER REQUIRES THEIR EMAIL
Take the code and share it however you like. Adding an email still works, and still limits that code to that address.

### 1.6.0 — 2026-08-07

Meet Break Room — two games to take your mind off the day and give you a break. A daily picture puzzle: the numbers along each row and column tell you which squares to fill, and solving it reveals a small hidden picture. And Letter Lock: a combination lock made of letters — turn the barrels to spell words, find every word the barrels can make, and the lock cracks open. Wrong guesses cost a heart; run out and the lock jams for the day. Nothing is timed, casual play stays entirely on your device, and progress saves as you go. If your circle wants a friendly game of it, there's an optional leaderboard — joining is one decision, and leaving deletes your shared stats immediately.

Wrapped — your month in care
A private, swipeable look back at last completed month: days you showed up, hours given, doses assisted with, notes written, and your Break Room play. Assembled on your device from records you can already see — nothing new is collected or sent anywhere, and caregivers see their own month, never the circle's totals. Both are in the ⋮ menu at the top right.

Fixes

Care recorded during a very long shift no longer goes missing — a caregiver clocked in more than 36 hours could see a medication in the log while its entry was missing from that day's Daily Notes and exports. Every record now lands where it belongs, however long the shift runs.
Tapping a notification while the app was fully closed now reliably opens the medication, note, or shift it's about, instead of sometimes landing on Home.
When another caregiver records a dose, the medication reminder stops ringing on your device too.

### 1.5.0 — 2026-07-09

• Password managers can now fill and save your LynCare sign-in.
• Stronger protection against password guessing, with a quick reset option.
• Apple sign-ins with no email can add one to recover the account.
• New guided care-circle setup; invite the participant anytime.
• Participant-Care Managers can open Manage Shift Schedule.
• Calendar sync-window note, resumable registration, and clearer error messages.

### 1.4.0 — 2026-07-09

Medication reminders that ring when a dose is due.

MEDICATION REMINDERS
When you're clocked in, LynCare now rings you at each scheduled medication time — a full-screen reminder listing the medications due, so a dose never quietly slips past unrecorded. Snooze for 10 minutes, or stop once you've given and logged the dose. It keeps reminding — even with the app closed — until the dose is recorded, and only rings while you're on shift. Turn it on or off anytime in Settings › Notification Preferences.

ALSO IN THIS RELEASE
• A smoother edge-to-edge look on the newest Android devices.
• Sign-in and account-recovery reliability improvements.
