Now I’m locked out for too many attempts. Maybe online will work, or just walk 🧐. ### 1/5 — Don’t use *2020-12-21, version 715* You will be charged even when they don’t turn up. They called to say they don’t work in my area yet charged me £65. Do not use this lynx app, they should be reported for theft and fraud. I ordered a taxi twice and no one ever showed up. This was in Dublin by the way, which is one of the most popular places in Ireland. Functionality looks great but I never received a code by SMS and as a result was unable to verify my account. Tried many times. Maybe my overseas phone number was the issue. If so, seems a bit dumb since this would be a great app for visitors to Dublin (some of whom live overseas .. shock, horror!) ### 1/5 — Rubbish *2016-01-03, version 11.94* If you like standing out in the freezing cold for over an hour while taxi drivers repeatedly cancel your order, then this is the app for you!! Sometimes the app glitches or I need to call to confirm my booking but still better than MyTaxi/FreeNow. Exceptional service from the drivers every. single. time. ### 4/5 — Very Good, with Some Room for Improvement *2018-08-25* My wife and I used this on a recent trip to Dublin from the USA. It was a real lifesaver! We used it many times and would recommend it to travelers like us. That said, there are some things to note that could be improved. The ETA shown on the map is essentially meaningless, and we learned to ignore it. Also, the location data for individual drivers is not great. In one case, the app told us our driver was on the opposite side of Dublin and would take 33 minutes to reach us (!!), but then he pulled up 2 minutes later. Leaving aside the ETA inaccuracy, we always got a driver eventually, and found that if we used the pre-booking feature, the results were excellent. Lynk always called us if there was a delay, which was nice. In summary, if you’re American and think this is Lyft or Uber, change that expectation. This works differently.
