### 1/5 — Way too many unnecessary ads

Hi Tech team,

Strongly condemn the way the app is coming around. 

There are ‘way too many ads’ & I mean like in multitude that have suddenly started to pop up just recently unlike in any other usual free streaming music app. 

When you are typing, searching for a song, before it plays, after it plays.. literally every single time you are clicking and even when you are listening in the background and shifting between apps. 
Urghhh!
It won’t be long since I permanently delete the app and switch to other free platforms that offer less than required ad plays. 

This way you are making the listener lose interest and throw off. 
Please fix this asap. It’s so annoying.
Did it expect this from the app. It just kills the vibe.

**Developer response:** Thanks for the feedback, MK. Ads do show frequently in the free tier — between songs, during search, and in the background.
If you'd prefer ad-free listening, Premium removes all ads. You can upgrade from within the app (Settings > Premium).
We're also always tuning ad density, so your feedback is noted.

다른 음악앱에서 광고가 많이 나와서 Lyra로 갈아탔어요. 그리고 정말로 애정하는 앱이기도 했죠, 근데 시간이 지나자 광고가 갑작스레 늘어나고, X 한번 누르면 되는 광고도 아닌 세차례 나뉘어진 광고가 계속 나와요… 정말로 나만 알고 쓰던 애정하던 앱이었는데 정도 다 떨어졌습니다. 제작자 분들도 돈 벌어야 한다는 거 충분히 압니다, 하지만 너무 광고도 심하고 프리미엄을 자꾸 요구하네요..

**Developer response:** 광고가 답답하신 것 같습니다. 무료 옵션으로는 추천을 통해 프리미엄을 얻을 수 있으며, 앱에서 보상 동영상 오퍼가 표시될 때 이를 사용하여 광고 없는 기간을 이용할 수 있습니다. 적격 사용자는 Lyra의 Creator 경로를 사용할 수도 있습니다. 그 외에는 프리미엄이 광고를 제거합니다.

Para a gente verificar sua conta e se você tem direito a remover anúncios com Premium, preciso de duas informações: qual é o email associado à sua conta de música, e você tem o recibo ou ID do pedido da compra do Premium (se fez)?

**Developer response:** You're right, it used to be ad-free. Keeping Lyra running costs money every month. While it stays free, ads pay for it, or it doesn't exist. That's the choice.

Here's what actually works:

Premium removes all ads + unlimited skips. Check the App Store for your region's price.

Referral: Share your invite code from Settings. When a friend uses it, you both get 30 days of Premium free. You can repeat this.

Watched ads: If you see an "ad-free minutes" row in Settings, one video watched = ad-free time, repeatable.

Creator: Make videos about Lyra, earn Premium + real money as views grow.

Referral costs you nothing. Premium is there if it works for you.

O aplicativo era até bom sem anúncios, mas agora ficou péssimo anúncios excessivos fora que estão cobrando R$20 na opção sem anúncios. estão passando fome?

**Developer response:** Você tem razão, antes de julho não havia anúncios, e é uma mudança que afeta todos que usam a versão gratuita. Lyra precisa de servidor, armazenamento e sincronização para funcionar todo mês, e enquanto o app fica gratuito, ou a publicidade financia tudo isso ou a gente não consegue manter de pé.

Se você não quer ver anúncios, tem três caminhos sem pagar. Um é Premium de verdade, 19,99 reais por ano (1,67 por mês), e sai mais barato que qualquer serviço de música tradicional. Mas também tem o referral: chama um amigo, vocês DOIS ganham 30 dias de Premium quando ele usa o app por 3 dias. Não é desconto, é Premium completo. E tem o Creator, faz vídeo sobre Lyra, mais views = Premium de graça mais grana de verdade.

Na versão gratuita os skips são ilimitados, sem modo só-shuffle, sem limite de tempo, som de fundo, a publicidade é a única diferença. A gente continua melhorando a app e pensa em levá-la para frente por muito tempo, e quer escutar a galera que usa.

Qualquer dúvida é só chamar.

**Developer response:** Oi! Lyra não tem uma feature de apostas integrada, o que talvez você esteja vendo são anúncios de apps de apostas que aparecem no app gratuito. Entendo o incômodo. Você tem três formas de eliminar os anúncios: ver um vídeo premiado (acumula até 2 horas sem publicidade), convidar um amigo com código de referência (vocês ganham 30 dias Premium cada um), ou assinar Premium, o preço exato e os ben's estarão na tela Premium dentro do app. Continuamos a melhorar Lyra e a ouvir vocês.

Since this morning getting lot of ADs and skipping the ad is not easy either

**Developer response:** You're right, that's frustrating. Lyra was free and ad-free until this summer, and the shift to ads was a real change.

Here's why: keeping Lyra running costs money every month for servers, storage, and infrastructure. With a free tier, we have two options: ads, or the app doesn't exist at all.

But there are ways out that actually work:

Premium removes all ads instantly, check your app's Premium screen for the price in your region. It's roughly one-sixth of a traditional music subscription. You get zero ads, plus top audio quality, unlimited skips, equalizer, gapless playback, and synced lyrics.

Refer a friend, this is the stronger option. Invite someone through Settings; if they use Lyra for 3 days, you both get 30 days of Premium free. You can repeat this as much as you like.

Rewarded video, if you see the ad-free minutes row in Settings, watch a video you choose to unlock ad-free listening for a while. Repeatable.

Premium and the referral are the real solutions. Either way, the app's there if you want it.

i used this app all the time to avoid spotify, and the ads. Suddenly they added a TON of annoying ai slop ads. like every time i try and click something, i get bombarded with 3 ads. sometimes, the app plays the wrong tracks as well, for example, i remember listening to the music fashion film album by charli xcx when it came out and on the song No One Lasts Forever, it played forever instead. which dont get me wrong, is a good song, but im trying to hear the other one…
