## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 4/5 — Good Start

*2026-07-08*

It’s a nice start, but certain features such as the vocabulary don’t work properly. For example, for characters that have multiple meanings, it will use the wrong one for the example given.

### 5/5 — Lessons are great needs more free features

*2026-07-22*

The lessons are great but I think more free features than just one free lesson a day should be added to get more people in the door

### 5/5 — Unbelievable good

*2026-05-06*

Extremely effective at rapidly improving listening and speaking skills. The AI responds naturally and adapts to your level, making interactions feel smooth and intuitive. It switches seamlessly between English and Chinese, much like working with a real tutor. Well worth the investment for anyone serious about learning quickly.

### 5/5 — Amazing way to learn Chinese

*2026-05-06*

The best app I’ve used to practice speaking Chinese! I’ve made a ton of progress the past couple weeks, love being able to practice all different sorts of roleplays. Highly recommend for people learning Mandarin!

### 5/5 — Best speaking practice app!!!!

*2026-05-01*

I NEED MORE! Been using the Lyrin app for a few weeks and I am addicted to the progress! My boyfriend is saying my Chinese has improved a lot😊

I hope they release other languages soon because the Mandarin is really good. I feel pretty confident after speaking more with the AI tutor

### 5/5 — Great app!

*2026-04-27*

Long term duo lingo user here, I really like the way they structured their lectures, and the voice inputs feel like they’re being recognized better so I feel like I’m really improving on my pronunciations. I also really like having a growing list of vocabularies so I can refer to them easier. I’m having a great time and I feel like my learning is improving.

### 5/5 — A great app for learning how to speak Chinese

*2026-04-06*

I’ve tried tons of different apps that are helpful for vocabulary but not for speaking and listening. Love that this app focuses on actually learning how to speak Chinese instead of just rote memorization

### 5/5 — Wow

*2026-04-06*

Closest you can get to actually living in China and real language immersion but even better because you can analyze your conversations and improve any time you want

### 5/5 — Nice

*2026-04-04*

Great way to learn Chinese, tons of lessons and roleplays

### 5/5 — Customizable lessons

*2026-02-28*

You can really learn at your own pace and design your own lessons based on your needs which is super cool.
