Simple to use helps me track expenses for tax purposes. I would love to see them expand this and compete with quickbooks who charges you for everything. If you no longer have the orginal phone number (in my case I was over seas serving my amazing Country), to find out because I chose not too keep my orginal number that I cannot log in. I’m not jumping through hoops to make my life difficult. Then support says well your account (I have access to my email) is old and I haven’t agreed to all the NEW terms. My account I got full access for $7.99 USD a month. Paid for the dissolution and then was mistakenly charged for a renewal fee even though I had cancelled. All they want is their money, I couldn’t even log into my account to cancel a subscription. They charged me for that subscription then wouldn’t give me my money back and said don’t worry we canceled it for you it’s a joke stay away from! ### 2/5 — Confused *2024-11-04, version 1.51.0* I set my LLC without any issues, but over the last few weeks I haven’t been able to use my app because it keeps saying info unavailable and it hasn’t displayed any information for me to view for a while. I’m still able to access my account through the web browser but what’s the point of having the app if it’s not functional. ### 1/5 — App changed to bookkeeping *2024-10-10, version 1.49.0* This app is mostly useless now unless you subscribe to their new LZ Books software. ### 1/5 — Do NOT use Legal Zoom *2024-09-27, version 1.49.0* This company has been under a lot of scrutiny for their dishonest and questionable practices making you signup for stuff you don’t know you’re signing up for. If you want to start an LLC, one of the best and most affordable things you can do is just go to a local company who will help you get everything started and legit and is often WAY less than Legal Zoom. They charged me almost 800 dollars over the past 16 months for a service I didn’t even know I signed up for and refused to refund my money. Google Legal Zoom controversy. This is not a company that is out trying to help the little guys get started, they are in it for themselves and have deceiving techniques to signup to expensive monthly services you will likely never use. They were rude when I asked for my money they fraudulently charged me with their confusing terms that make people think they need particular services that they most certainly don’t. Be very weary, they are only after your money. You can file an LLC with your local state easily online in most states. After using only a fraction of their services, they immediately started pushing me to spend more money without offering a shred of loyalty for being a paying customer. Instead of helping me feel valued, they made me feel like a walking wallet. Their sales approach is aggressive, and once they’ve got you in their system, it’s all about upsells. They provide little actual service for what you pay, and when you question the value, they have no interest in making it right. They couldn’t even help file my taxes correctly. For a company that markets itself as a solution for small business owners, their customer care is shockingly tone-deaf. If you’re thinking of using LegalZoom, do yourself a favor: look elsewhere. There are plenty of better options that won’t nickel-and-dime you at every step. Bottom line: LegalZoom is more interested in poaching more money from you than providing the service you already paid for. ALSO, when asking for a partial refund, they weren’t willing to discuss anything with me.
