Sorry but there a billions of stubborn people who chose to leave Filmic Pro (the best video camera app) just cause it went from paid to subscription based including me. Hence the missing star. Maybe you could roll out new features for subbed users but people who paid the price for what they want should have it for what they paid. The developer immediately listened and the feature was returned. I could not ask for better support or customer care. It’s able to work similar to YouTube red, and be effective in playing the audio from the playlist imported. The problem is that when approaching the last few songs/videos in the playlist, they freeze and cannot automatically play the other video. I also notice how the playlist feature also lags behind the current playlist being played. Hopefully this helps you Developer! Edit: I changed this to a 5, it’s the best app I’ve used for a long time, I swear this saves so much battery and time. I don’t appreciate them being so secretive. Just answer what data feed for content this app requests abd delivers. Simple. For instance, is it a 144p video stream we just don’t see the video feed for, or is it a 128kbps .mp3 feed for the content, etc? YouTube only delivers so many different streams of data. Which does this app request from YouTube and deliver to your end-user? *UPDATE* I received a reply from the dev and an app update resolved my issue with the app crashing. All is well now and I’m giving this app the 5 stars it deserves. It’s Exactly what I want. I listen to YouTube/radio/podcasts all day and night. I also live in a rural area with metered data. The ability to listen to YouTube and save data is incredible. I do have an unanswered email from the dev I’m hoping is seen here and replied to. Developer, what is the stream details of what’s being delivered when using this app? I’m trying to estimate the data each minute of streaming in this app is using. Please tell me this info. ISSUE BELOW WAS RESOLVED. Now it’s crashing when I try to open it and this is on two different iPhones. It’s easy to use - fair enough. But only if you’re on Wifi connection because it uses faaaar more data than streaming YouTube itself (I tested it using the same video clip for both then looked at the data usage measurement on my iPhone settings under ‘Mobile Data’ tab) I thought it was meant to SAVE data. It hit over 100mb use after just 5 minutes of audio! Cost me around 3000GB in just 4 days of listening for around 2 hours per day. I wish I’d have checked this sooner than I did because I had read that audio files use less data than streaming video so I didn’t give it a second thought at first. Working after update *2023-04-03, version 1.4.3* I was having major problems with the app after some recent updates (freezing) and finally decided to write a negative review. The developer was VERY responsive. My e-mails were quickly answered as was my review. While I don’t use the subscription features, I’m actually thinking of just making a purchase to support this great app. I am including parts of my previous review to help new users but the developer response (if it stays attached to the review) was for the app crashing that I reported but is now resolved with the latest updare I prefer to listen to my entertainment and this is great for that purpose. I like the little channels that have interesting commentary or stories, but that don’t necessarily require you to watch their random images while they talk. This app allowed me to play the commentary without having to keep my phone screen live and Youtube open. It saved battery and unintentional interruptions. I didn’t necessarily use the save function unless I knew I was going out of service. Same streams with great.
