However, works just fine with an iPad air 2. ### 4/5 — iPad air2 *2017-03-01, version 6.0.4* Very nice job. Took a bit to figure it out but works great. At first it wouldn't sync wirelessly, I had to force the M7 to a 10Mb speed for Ethernet connection. I would love if the software would allow you to set the level for an FX in. ### 3/5 — Good app but some flaws *2014-07-16, version 4.5.0* There was an update letting you turn on and off phantom power and now that option is gone. I am still trying to figure out if I could adjust the rack EQs from it but overall it is nicely payed out. ### 2/5 — Board freezes *2013-12-20, version 4.1.0* This app is a great design and would be a five star review if it didn't freeze up our soundboard when we used it. Yamaha says that shouldn't and cannot happen, but it does. They haven't addressed it with firmware for the board, so the app is fairly useless. If we could reliably use it, it would be five stars and highly recommended. ### 4/5 — Great for band use *2013-03-12, version 3.2.1* This is a great app to use as a musician. When we practice, our sound guy isn't present so this is nice to use because we don't have to always run to the soundboard. This is also great for adjusting you in-ears because you can fine tune everything that your sound tech may miss. I'm giving this 4 stars because it would be nice to be able to set your mute groups. Currently, you can turn them on or off, but an option within the utility section for editing would be perfect! ### 4/5 — Love this app, needs more features *2013-02-17, version 3.2.1* Being the lead tech at my church, having the ability to walk on stage and check lines and mix from the floor vs the booth, this app is incredible to have. Only features I wish it had were: - 48v switch actually functions as a switch - control over dynamics - direct out access If you really want to spoil us, the ability to monitor from the iOS device headphone jack would be great! ### 4/5 — Needs to be able to support multiple iPads *2012-12-17, version 3.2.1* This app would be way more helpful if multiple iPads could be connected to the same console for monitor mixes. ### 3/5 — Sync Bug in iOS 6 *2012-12-14, version 3.2.0* Using iOS 6 on the ipad 2. M7 is 3.25 firmware. It would sync on scene 000 but not other shows. A fix came by going into the rack and assigning all slots to the rack even if not in use. Synced fine after that. A very usefull app when you get it going. Works bug free with iOS 5. ### 3/5 — Was great before last upgrade *2012-12-05, version 3.2.0* Worked great before the last update. Have iPad running 5.1.1. M7CL version 3.5.5. I can connect to the mixer but once it starts to sync the app blows away. Have e-mail into Yamaha support. Hope for a fix very soon. It is really a great app when working! ### 4/5 — Update Works Great! *2012-12-03, version 3.2.0* Love this app. Use it on stage all the time and the new version works fine as long as the M7 is at 3.55. Issues if the M7 is at 3.52 or even lower. Make sure your Firmware on the M7 is up to date. Would love to have 48v on/off access from this app rather than only viewing the status. You put the button on the page but no functionality. It would be so nice to be able to access the 48v from the stage when the board is in the balcony as where I work. With this update my soundboard software has crashed or shown an error every time. I have reached out to Yamaha but haven't heard anything yet. Avoid this update and wait for a fix. ### 1/5 — Not working *2012-11-10, version 3.2.0* The new update is not working can u please fix the bug. New Apple update fixed slow connection issues. Sept update Syncing the console to the tablet is taking over a minute, usually takes less than 10 seconds. I used to be able to walk the whole theatre and mix. Now I can’t get 10 feet away without losing connection and requires constant syncing. Used to be a great app, now it’s pretty useless. M7cl is a discontinued console, but it would be great to still use this app to its fullest extent. I also can make adjustments while setting up the stage so I don't have to run back and fourth. You can't adjust everything the board can do which I can understand however it would be nice to adjust the input channels so I can test a mic works while on stage. ### 5/5 — Need Rack functionality *2012-05-31, version 3.0.2* This is an amazing find. I mix with the M7CL-48 at Cal State Los Angeles and LOVE this app. However you forgot one crucial thing!!! The FX Rack! Now granted the board has less than stellar dynamics processing, but that is one crucial aspect that I use every day. There's no way to add compression or limiting from my iPad. Only EQ and panning. Please look into this! Please fix this!!! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE! Other than that though great little app. I will give 5 stars if we can implement that last little bit. Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! ### 4/5 — Connectivity issues: Set Ethernet Speed to 10mbit *2018-07-12, version 6.0.5* I love this app. However it has been very slow to sync and often lost connection. We have a very fast WiFi (802.11AC) with new UniFi AP’s on our network so that wasn’t the issue. I’m using an iPad Pro. It’s always been a little slow to connect (sync) and would often drop the connection. Well this latest IOS (11.4) it was the worst it’s ever been. After seeing other reviews here saying to try setting the mixer to 10Mbit I did and so far all my issues are gone.
