Decided to stop working as I was out walking the dog and had to wait 20 minutes for someone else to come out of the building. Absolute garbage. ### 1/5 — Worst *2026-06-19, version v6.16.0* App is the worst… ### 1/5 — Criminal and Civil Investigation *2026-06-16, version v6.16.0* The DOJ should investigate whose idea it was to have an app that residents' safety and welfare depend on, that relies on an internet connection and a smartphone (which is known to run out of battery) to get in and out of their building. It is a safety hazard and, quite frankly, fails more often than not. The app constantly logs you out at the most inopportune times, and the hand swipe function ONLY works when the app is open, defeating the purpose of giving the app location permissions. If you are looking into renting from someone who tells you your keys to your building are dependent on this app—RUN! ### 1/5 — The worst *2026-06-16, version v6.16.0* Your landlord hates you. That’s the only reason they would tell you to use this app. ### 2/5 — Horrible *2026-04-02, version v6.16.0* It shuts down often, and not all of the widgets work. ### 1/5 — Stupid *2026-01-28, version v6.15.0* What kind of auto payment makes you type the amount you would like to pay and then when they charge you, they just charge what's on the invoice? Your landlords do not care about you. *2026-01-11, version v6.15.0* If you are being forced to download this app to get in your building, congratulations! You are about to be frustrated beyond belief every time you try to get into your building. App consistently does not work and traps people outside. Management tells you to use the call box to call someone to let you in, but no one ever ever ever answers. Do not take your dog for a walk when it snows because you will be stuck outside. And my building, where my lease guarantees is 24 hour Front Desk assistance, frequently does not have that. So there’s no one to let you in. if you complain to the management, they blame your phone. ### 1/5 — Minimally viable product *2025-10-26, version v6.7.7* The latest update has utterly Broken the ability of some residents to report maintenance requests. When you attempt to type in the “briefly describe” field, there’s no ability to do so. Venn City is an unresponsive and unaccountable entity. Emails Will be ignored. And with this extremely basic app, I’m not sure how they ever secured a single contract. Events were substantially better when Mac marketing conducted them. A cornerstone promise of Venn City partnering with Mac was that element of things. Venn City’s events are uninspiring, low Energy, and devoid of imagination. I think Mac has suffered reputational Harm as a result of their partnership with Venn City. ### 1/5 — Good luck *2025-06-16, version 6.3.27* This app has more problems than anything I’ve ever dealt with. ### 1/5 — Terrible App *2025-05-24* Zero stars. App works intermittently. Complained to resident services and Venn to no response. It's glitchy.
