Mac Geek Gab is my favorite. Dave and John's knowledge by far supersedes anyone else I know. If you have a question 99.9% of the time they got a answer. Regardless whether or not you are a paid subscriber they will answer your question and do their best to help you. Anytime anybody asks me for a recommendation on a Mac podcast, my go to podcast and number one recommendation is Mac Geek Gab!!! Dave and John are true Mac Masters!!!!!!!!!!! ### 5/5 — Love the alarm!!! *2016-04-02* This is a great little app for fans of the podcast. The hosts somehow bridge the gap between experienced users and newcomers and keep listeners excited to learn. In the new App the experience is extended to whenever you want to benefit more from the discussions. You seamlessly navigate around the web and back to MGG learning all along the way. One star app stability Constant crashes and audio errors. ### 1/5 — Last Update Fail *2019-04-09* The last update causes an instant crash on opening. Tried all the usual fixes, no joy. I can’t seem to download your earlist versions. The desktop version worked fine. Also those downloads made on the desktop version didn’t transfer to my phone, as I hoped they would. I have an iPhone 15 Plus, with the latest iOS. Any suggestions? Even after just a few minutes after stopping playback, it returns to the beginning of the podcast. And it's also marked every episode from the beginning of time as unplayed. **Developer response:** Sorry to hear this, WorkingMacs! I believe this has been fixed in our latest update, but please let us know if it hasn't. ### 2/5 — Very disappointing. Needs work! *2012-10-29* Content of this podcast is "must listen" if you are into Apple products and services. But this app is ... Well, don't bother! Needs a lot of work. Content does not always display. Crashes constantly. UI is not intuitive. I suggest you keep your cash until they figure this out. Which they will! ### 4/5 — Very handy *2013-06-18, version 1.3* I bought this app to support MGG first & foremost. I think the best feature by far is how easy it makes it to interact during the live show, I know there are other ways of doing this but the GUI using this app makes it so much more enjoyable . Using the app also lets you leave the live chat to use other apps etc while still being able to listen to the audio, great feature. The only reason that stops it getting 5 stars from me. • No auto-correct, which is always handy when typing on a iPhone with fat fingers. @Just__Wayne ### 5/5 — Has this App become a legacy item? *2024-09-23, version 2.8* The MGG podcast is great and a must on my weekly schedule, but the app is now 2 years old and watching on YouTube is better for me. I’m back and let me tell you this App has came a VERY long way!! This App knocks it out of the park! It has been totally catalogued, you can bookmark any section and add your own bookmark title to it for a later time. Finding show notes and links is super simple. If it’s a article or product you’re just a few clicks away. John, Dave & Pilot Pete have a great dynamic. I can say with 100% confidence, this is my favourite pod cast and one that makes my drive into work less tedious. The guys have a wonderful dynamic with each other and manage to explain some of the more technical/ geeky stuff that is just at the right level. It isn’t lowered to a patronising level and yet you don’t have to be a computer engineer or developer to follow along. I can recommend this for all mac and apple product owners that want to spend circa 90 mins a week in a jacuzzi of thoughts and geeky Mac bubbles. A total winner for me. Keep it up guys!! It’s one of the most informative about the technical aspects of Macs and IOS. I particularly like the tips and that I do learn things in every episode. The troubleshooting is also so helpful as I’ve been able to refer back when needed.
