I’ve been buying from Mac.Bid for over a year, and unfortunately, misleading photos and questionable item conditions are not isolated incidents. I have now moved on to Nellis Auction, they have more integrity on their items they sell. 
Mac.Bid sells mostly returns, overstock, and damaged-box merchandise, so I understand that buying comes with some risk. My problem is how some items are photographed and described. For example, I saw a $105 wall clock that had clearly been removed from the box for the photo, yet ripped-up bubble wrap was left covering most of it, hiding the condition. Another item was a double-sided wooden canvas. They photographed only the undamaged side, while the other side was obviously smashed in, yet it was marked "Good." There was no way the employees processing item didn’t see it. 
Not every listing even shows the actual item. Some use nothing more than the manufacturer's or Amazon-style stock photo.
I’ve also personally seen employees putting newly processed inventory on the shelves. One box contained glass cookware, and I could hear shattered glass moving around inside it. The employee didn’t care, he still put it on the shelf for the auction and I’m sure they guys in the back processing the item knew.
I’ve had plenty of experiences with items being broken or missing parts, and the return process can be frustrating. If you don't purchase the warranty, getting your money back can be difficult. I now mostly stick to items marked "Like New." If something is listed as "Open Box," I consider it a gamble.
For comparison, I’ve had a much better experience with Nellis Auction, especially with their return process.
Mac.Bid can have good deals, but after more than a year of buying from them, I think bidders need to be very cautious. The actual condition of an item should be clearly photographed and accurately described—not hidden behind packaging or shown only from the good side.

I’m really enjoying this app. You can get some great deals on it. It’s kinda a thrill to watch the timer tick down to the last second. Best chance is that last second bid but sometimes you get lucky and your bid stays till the end. I love that I get notified about higher bids on my chosen item and a warning notification that it’s almost over. Lots of fun and can save a lot of money.

They charged more than you bid . So I paid almost each item like $10 more than the bidding. Also the warehouse was so hot in there. Feel like passing out while I had to go look for my stuffs. I bought the massage plate and they didn’t come with remote so can’t even use it.
