Lovely game, highly recommend

### 5/5 — Challenging and fun!

*2024-09-13, version 1.0*

One of my first jobs was administering cognitive testing. This game felt like a modernized test of visual spatial, executive function and working memory. It was way more
fun than the tests I was giving. I’m on level 3 and I haven’t lost yet so I expect I will be receiving my MENSA card in the mail shortly.

I’d like the option to try different background music to see if it improves my score.

### 5/5 — Cute, Funny, and Memory Strengthening

*2024-09-12, version 1.0*

The music, the art, and the progression is so much fun and cute. It’s hard to put it down once you get going. Some of the words and symbols can be pretty funny and I find myself pushing through the challenge to get to new definitions.

### 5/5 — Challenging, Clever, and Rewarding!

*2024-09-12, version 1.0*

I’ve been hooked on Machine Yearning from the start! The perfect balance of challenging puzzles and witty design keeps me engaged for hours. Each level is thought-provoking, and it feels incredibly rewarding when you finally figure out a solution. The developers clearly put a lot of thought into the gameplay, which keeps it fun yet never overwhelming. Whether you’ve got a few minutes or a few hours, this game always delivers an enjoyable and gratifying experience. Highly recommend for those who love a challenge!

## Most critical reviews (10 lowest-rated)

### 1/5 — Can’t turn off haptics

*2024-09-27, version 1.0*

That’s a no from me dawg

### 3/5 — Can’t play effectively with colorblindness

*2024-10-05, version 1.0*

I really like the concept and the art style is witty but..

I have Blue Green colorblindness and this game requires you to remember the “color” you named, unfortunately my eyesight isn’t consistent and I messed up a lot because of this, I think some symbols to indicate different colors would we awesome.

### 4/5 — Machine Yearning: A Clever Puzzle Challenge

*2024-10-11, version 1.0*

Machine Yearning combines word puzzles and memory tests in a unique retro style. It's free to play and offers a fun challenge for puzzle lovers

### 5/5 — Challenging and fun

*2025-09-04, version 1.0*

This game, while short, is a very creative brain teaser. I feel like I am having to actually use a lot of brain power which can’t be said for a lot of other brain teasers. However the challenges are very doable and with some thinking it nothing I would say is too hard. The artwork is charming and there are NO ADDS and NO PAYWALL. I really enjoy this little game and you should download it. 🙂‍↕️

### 5/5 — Excellent

*2025-01-06, version 1.0*

In my opinion, this game has a very creative setting, design, and theme. It is very stimulating and engaging. The sound track is catchy. It is a game right for me. It’s a little challenging at first but that’s the point. It’s also invigorating when you complete the round. Overall, the design is alluring , sound choice is catchy, it’s simple, the premise is creative.

### 5/5 — Fun with a twist

*2024-10-26, version 1.0*

Great game; the game itself is a fun little pass time, and it does not get repetitive. I feel like I’m helping my memory as well by playing. Overall fun and unique.

### 5/5 — Really clever concept.

*2024-10-13, version 1.0*

Game designer myself - really cool take on memory games, fun and interesting to play. It’s neat seeing how your brain associates different nonsense words with nonsense pictures to create connections and structure. It’ll be fun to see how well I remember my language if I forget to play for a few weeks, lol. Fantastic work, keep it up!
