It’s just not fast enough or reliable enough or automatic enough. I paid for it, but I found choosing big but easy to type passwords is much faster even than the finger tap login ### 3/5 — Locking works. I like to be able to get onto my computer quickly but still have some security (password) on. I love that auto locks and opens when i get within a certain range of it. Only catch is you have to BUY a different app for $4 in order for it to function. Without the additional app, MacID is useless. Full of bugs. If you’ve been waiting for years, like me, for MacID to work, don’t hold your breath. Not sure I’ll be bothered to pay for unlox. V1.3.6 seems as good as ever and I've got a new home screen icon colour. V1.3.5 and my iPhone 7 has restored my belief, the combo works well. V1.3.4 hope it's as good as the last version which worked very well! V1.3.1 still suffers from regular disconnections. Requires reopening app on my iPhone. V1.2 is so much improved with all items on my wish list done. Download and install now! Old review below: It’s a cool App, but my Mac often locks itself even when I’m sitting right at my desk! My iPhone 6 is within a metre (in my trouser pocket) of my Mac Mini on the back of my wooden (metal frame) desk. Tried all three sensitivities for auto-lock and there doesn’t seem any noticeable difference. I don’t understand your terminology for low, medium and high. Which is less likely to auto-lock? I think you should improve your wording here. Also, the unlock workflow seems inevitably awkward. Slide the lock screen notification on my iPhone, use touch ID to unlock the phone, wait for the app to load, remove finger, replace finger to unlock my Mac. Am I missing something? It’s much quicker to just type my password on my Mac… :-) It needs a setting to just unlock my Mac when my phone returns (and optionally the app launched from the notification) without the extra touch ID to the App?
