### 3/5 — Oh boy....

*2015-07-13, version 3.2*

I've been using this program for about 9 months now and have to say it is spectacular. Until the latest update. The thing I lived about this program is its stability. It's rock solid. Can't say that with the update. Program froze during my last show. Luckily the band was about to break, 10 min, and I close it, then restarted and we got back to normal. If I wanted something buggy and that freezes I would have purchased a behringer x-air system.

### 4/5 — Getting there but faster on lightning connector

*2015-02-11, version 3.0.1*

Like many others I found the update problematic when using it with an older 3rd gen iPad.
Awful lag and occasional lock ups.
Since swapping the iPad connector to the Lightning version and switching to an IPad 4 things are much improved.
Yes - it's more complicated than the older version but it has more functionality and in my opinion worth the extra effort.
I do wish you could review/playback recordings made on the 806 and 1608 machines locally without having to export them through iTunes however.
The v3 My Fader app for the iPhone is coming soon which will be great to have back.

### 4/5 — Great Mixer and software

*2014-12-31, version 3.0.1*

Ver 3 is not backwards compatible for iPad 1. It requires iOS 7. iPad 1 only accommodates iOS 5. You will need an iPad 2 or higher. +++ The DL1602 firmware will update through wifi if you load ver 3 on a remote iPad.

The combination of the DL1602 and this Master fader software greatly simplified musical performance setup. We can now do a proper sound check off stage without needing a sound man. No more guessing. The wifi feature makes this possible. Also, the mixer is small and light. EQs and basic FX are all built in so there's less gear to lug around. I wish the mixer had more combo jacks but using DIs is a work around.

### 1/5 — Disable AUTOMATIC UPDATES if you are using 2.x version

*2014-12-31, version 3.0.1*

My ipad 3 auto-updated to this version only to discover that my ipad will no longer work with my band's 1608. Some members use devices incompatible with this release (original ipad) and to update their apple hardware is financially prohibitive.

### 1/5 — Freezes Up

*2014-12-28, version 3.0.1*

Used the updated version at a gig and it froze up on my iPad 2 for about 30 seconds at a time. I remembered that I had the old version on a cloned backup disk and dumped the new for the old version and it worked fine with the same equipment, nothing different but the software. You should make the old version available. Newer is not always better.

### 1/5 — Bad to Worse

*2014-12-27, version 3.0.1*

Updated today... Used it for a concert 3 weeks ago. Today sound came out different after the update. I used the exact same saved setting, same venue and same singers with the same sound system, the Bose L1 model 2... I don't like what I'm hearing. I have to readjust my EQ settings again. I noticed the same sound change from the previous update as well. Some labels to my EQ presets ore gone so I can't tell which one is which... PLEASE have a separate App for the DL1608 and use V2. This is too complicated now.

### 1/5 — you made it worse

*2014-12-25, version 3.0.1*

If you have any mixer other than the new DL32R, this update is totally useless. It’s more complex and for a small church who has learned the V2 app very well, this app is just too confusing. Please give the option to downgrade to the older version which was working fine. Also I fine V3 to have much more lag on the iPad 3.

### 1/5 — Bad Update

*2014-12-24, version 3.0.1*

I love the software until I update today . I thought the updat would help but now my iphone will not comunicate with the mixer and the update just made matter worst please I am a proffesional and need my equipment to work . Think of the people who are use the DL1608 and not the new32 nixer. please downgrade the software .

### 1/5 — Bring the old app back V2

*2014-12-19, version 3.0.1*

I hate the fact that i see everything my mixer does not have (DL32), i own the 1608 and i hate that i see all the sliders that have nothing to do with my mixer its very busy. I also am very disappointed the the eq adjusting, has it has a lag, it makes making any adjustments annoying, Please stop upsetting your customers and atlease give them the option to downgrade to 2.0. because at this point using your mixer is the upsetting part of my performance.

### 1/5 — Beware Master Fader 3.0

*2014-12-16, version 3.0*

If you have a ipad 3 this app will not be smooth at all. Supposedly, the ipad 2 works great with MF 3.0 . MF 2.1.1 worked great with my ipad 3. Although 2.1.1 had far fewer features, it was completely sufficient for a 16 ch gig. I wish they would make 2.1.1 available for folks that dont need 32ch gig capability. Also, i think the iphone app, My Fader , does not work with the 1608 upgraded to MF 3.0, and there is no compatible iphone app available for MF 3.0. So... To The Mackie Company, Please make MF 2.1.1 available again for those of us who find it a better fit for our situation.

### 1/5 — AVOID!!!!

*2014-12-14, version 3.0*

Far too many problems. Shouldn't have been released yet they need to fix all the bugs first

### 1/5 — This one was rushed out the door….

*2014-12-08, version 3.0*

The 3.0 update introduces a lot of slow response time for many functions on my iPad 3. That should not be! Please fix it. Mackie.

This update includes some useful feature, one of which is a nice recording matrix so you can assign which channels to record, separate from the main mix. Nice addition!

But there are still major things missing. For example, I need the ability to save “Snapshots” (complete mixer status) so I could have Aux send levels set independently of main “LR” mix levels. That way, users can have monitor mixes or effects send mixes set up (via Snapshots) so that they will not change or effect the main mix being sent to the PA. For now, the “Channel Safes” don’t allow this. Bummer, dude.

And… users need to be able to initiate snapshots quickly (especially solo acts). Right now you have to go into a menu, select the snapshot for recall, then click OK to implement (FOUR screen taps). Why not quick and easy buttons on the top menu so you can initiate snapshots on-the-fly, with just one tap?

### 1/5 — Not good enough

*2015-02-11, version 3.0.2*

If this app worked as planned it would be a fantastic addition to my live toolkit. As it stands I would have much rather stuck with the restricted but fully functioning MF2 than the current version, the release of which seems to have been to keep up with Behringer's publicity machine. My very useful DL1608 is now a liability in any medium pressure gig where adjustments need to be precise and timely. EQ changes are jerky and delayed, saving any setting involves up to 20 secs of freeze while things need attention elsewhere.

I've waited long enough for these issues to be addressed and you've chosen to release sales speak bull:;-t in response.

I will be reluctantly recommending the band buy a Behringer X32 Compact as soon as practical.

Update: v3.02 sees huge improvements in lag. I've got quite a busy weekend so will be keeping one iPad at v3.01 but will probably risk trying out this one with v3.02 for an hour or so if I'm feeling confident.

### 1/5 — Not ready for pro use!

*2015-02-08, version 3.0.1*

V3 is a train wreck! Unusably laggy and cluttered. If you have V2 DO NOT UPGRADE! I found a way to revert to V2 from my (thankfully non-updated version saved in my iTunes!) and force updated my DL1608 to V2 and am happily mixing again. MACKIE FIX THIS! It has given you a black eye.....and if I cannot trust you to do your homework and ONLY put products out that are well-thought-out and properly tested, then I will be forced to look elsewhere.

### 1/5 — Mr

*2015-02-06, version 3.0.1*

Very Glitchy!!! Must do better

### 1/5 — Separate The Apps

*2015-02-02, version 3.0.1*

Can you PLEASE just make a separate app for the 1608. This update is probably overloading the processor hence causing all that lag and freezing. My iPad is always very HOT when I'm running my mixer now. I purchased a brand new iPad solely dedicated for this, so I don't even have any other apps installed. WiFi is always having a hard time getting synced, and sometimes won't sync at all. Being wireless was one of the main reasons for choosing this mixer.

### 1/5 — Sooo..

*2015-01-29, version 3.0.1*

You guys gonna fix this turkey, or what...?

### 1/5 — DL1608 crashing

*2015-01-26, version 3.0.1*

When I first bought the Mackie DL1608 it worked great, however now it's been crashing, locking up and don't even respond when I dock ipad. It doesn't recognize that ipad has been docked, no charging, no ipad control, NOTHING. Very disappointed. Is it because of NEW update like others have noted or what's the deal? I have tried connecting another iPad which is 4th generation and have same result. NOTHING! What is Mackie gonna do about this?

### 1/5 — Not backwards compatible!

*2015-01-18, version 3.0.1*

We have a mix of iPads and iPhones we use to control the sound in our church. One of the iPads upgraded automatically and is now useless. We have to upgrade the mixer's firmware to use the new Master Fader, but we can't do that because we'd have to upgrade apps across many devices, including personally owned devices. Is there anyway to get the old version installed on a single device?

### 1/5 — Not good for 1608

*2015-01-16, version 2.1.1*

What made master fader best was it's almost
Analog mixer interface. Now it is just way
Too complex! I ended up returning an iPad
3 with the iOS 8 and am going to go back to iOS 6 on an iPad 2
I purchased And an earlier version of the master fader
Through my original set up on another iPad I own.
Thank god because I find this upgrade useless
On the 1608!
And I would never want to own the new 32 channel version
Due to this horrid app version!
Mackie, please send us another app v2 just for us users that
Want to keep it intuitive and simple!

### 1/5 — Dreadful lag with new version 3 (mini iPad)

*2015-01-15, version 3.0.1*

Updated the iPad mini from v2 to v3, and obviously did the firmware update on the DL1608. It now has a terrible lag and for us (8 piece band) is way too complicated. We know how to use EQ, compressors and gates etc and the old version was pretty good. We wish we could roll back to that version. I would not recommend updating to the new version 3. Also it now does not work on your iPhone !!!

### 1/5 — Sorry I upgraded!

*2015-01-10, version 3.0.1*

Please give me an option to go back to simpler and steady with no lag time app 2.0 PLEASE!

### 5/5 — A bit of a learning curve, regular updates

*2016-01-23, version 3.2.3*

I nearly panicked in December 2014 when our church decided to go digital when replacing our gradually failing mixer. Our PA team has a few nearing retirement adults like me, a young adult, a few college students, and about a half dozen high school students.

Our old system had a stack of wireless mic receivers stacked next to the old mixer. We did not have enough budget for commercial cables to put everything into a rack, so I learned how to solder XLR. After each increment in installation, I tested the system was still fully functional. It took several weeks to get everything into the rack, including the new antenna splitters and all the wireless mic receivers. The transition went well although I lost a bit of sleep learning the language of mixers then adjusting the settings. The biggest challenge was dropping preconceived ideas, and just trusting the manual and go with the easy interpretation.

They came through with the promised app updates. Our control of the sound is incredibly better. One of our college students got married and moved away. We trained in a new high school student. We did not let a former member, who said it would be fun to mess with the settings, know the network password. We still like each other, but no.

Several of the younger team members prefer to use the traditional view when adjusting the sound. I like the more modern view. Recording to a portable hard-drive is a breeze. I could not figure that out in the directions; just hit the record button, and it works.

### 5/5 — Youth Sound Board

*2015-11-19, version 3.2.3*

This app works great with our youth music. I love the ability to take an additional iPad outside the sound booth to mix live on the floor.

### 5/5 — Brilliant app... But

*2015-11-18, version 3.2.3*

I bought my DL1608 when it first came out love it, once you get use to flying round the different pages, it becomes second nature....
BUT, Thousands of users have been asking for , EQ Spectrum Analyser overlays. & Use with IOS, they are lagging behind there rivals ,

### 5/5 — MF 3

*2015-11-10, version 3.2.3*

Love this new app, works great and offers a lot of features not found in the original app.

Mackie has done a nice job with this and has continues to provide upgrades and support for this app on a regular basis.

### 5/5 — Awesome

*2015-07-05, version 3.2*

This mixer and the master fader makes regular boards look and feel like something from the 1920s. Keep adding to this product mackie

### 5/5 — Firmware update?

*2015-03-20, version 3.0.1*

Does this update also come with the update for the mixer?

### 5/5 — Fixed!

*2015-02-13, version 3.0.2*

This release fixes the annoying EQ curve response bug in the previous version...thank gawd!

### 5/5 — Great app

*2015-01-12, version 3.0.1*

Very useful and easy to use

### 5/5 — Great for marching band

*2014-11-22, version 3.0*

We used this app with the mixer this past marching band season. We loved the wireless feature and how easy it was to learn and use.

### 5/5 — This was made for my job

*2014-10-20, version 2.1.1*

I own a entertainment production company is very hard as it is ... but for me have to bring two 32 channel mixers. To a show all the time that did not need it ... that many channels was just too much.

Now that this came out. I believe I can make more money much quicker and easier than I did in the past...

I give all of you at Mackey around of applause. keep up the good work ...

thank you. CEO. Mixmasterz entertainment
PS if you can figure a way for me to use two of these mixers link them together because I have four of your mixers thank you
