### 3/5 — Could be better

*2017-08-27*

The app should have:
Gain option
Panning
Paramatic eq
Channel naming
31 graphic eq on mains and auxs

Waiting for the updates
This app has never been updated since it was released , iam in love with the master fader dl1608 but not this app make it like the master fader but with 8 channels

### 3/5 — Was a great app

*2016-10-23*

This app was great but after the iOS 10 upgrade I started losing connection and it would do funky things forcing to use a different board.

### 3/5 — Can not connect iPad

*2016-08-19, version 1.0*

Hi there my iPhone connects great and works but my iPad Pro does not allow the app to engage, the blue tooth does connect but app don't function as it were any ideas?

### 3/5 — Good first start...

*2016-06-23, version 1.0*

This app is basically a hi-res port of the iPhone version. Whereas Mackie could have gone and narrowed the channels to give control of every input on the new mixers, everything is comically large and requires scrolling just to see all 8 faders. The slider EQ controls are too simplified compared to Mackie's other iOS apps, and the limit of 3 scenes is a bit ridiculous.

### 1/5 — Mackie prodx4 mixer app

*2025-01-17, version 1.0*

Prodx4 app used to work , recently refused to connect wirelessly no matter what I tried. I contact support they said sorry this model no longer support ? I can’t adjust anything, bin it ? Don’t wanna buy Mackie anymore.

### 1/5 — Not working anymore 2025

*2025-01-16, version 1.0*

Not working anymore 2025

### 1/5 — Connected once and never again

*2017-06-06, version 1.0*

App connected to mixer when first installed. Now it will not connect. Tired everything including uninstalling and reinstalling. Very limited control makes this too simple for any serious use. Fine if all you want to do is mix 8 channels to main or aux. Mixer itself is fine but app is useless.

### 1/5 — Crashing. Will not connect to the mixer.

*2016-12-05*

I keep having connection problems with this app on IPhone 6s Plus.

### 2/5 — A couple of suggestions

*2018-02-12*

My ProDX8 has quickly become my favorite small-format mixer. A couple of suggestions though:
1. The mixer seems more feedback prone in the same system than the one it replaced. I suspect the wide-gain pre-amps (which work fine otherwise). It would seem reasonable to have an automated feedback destroyer built in.
2. The app only runs in landscape mode, even on the iPad. If you run your music software in portrait mode then this means you cannot use the iPad’s task switching feature. Annoying. Give use portrait mode on the iPad please.

### 2/5 — Crucial functions are missing

*2016-10-28, version 1.0*

The EQ in a mixer like this should be fully parametric, not 3 bands of which only one has variable frequency plus a hpf. Even odder, there is no left/right panning function so the unit is not true stereo.

### 2/5 — Since iOS 10...

*2016-10-07*

Since iOS 10's release, the bluetooth disconnects often, at least that's the conclusion I've drawn. I had no problem with Bluetooth connection prior.

Wish it had gain control. Hoping an update will address both issues.

### 3/5 — Input gain needed

*2020-11-13, version 1.0*

The lack of input gain made the dx8 unusable for me.
drum mics distorted input signal with no way to turn gain down.

### 3/5 — Needs update

*2018-05-30, version 1.0*

We really need an update for iOS 11 so we can use split screen and slide over.

### 3/5 — I like the Mackie products

*2017-12-07*

The issues stated earlier are why I am holding off on purchasing the mixer. At times I play split tracks, I need the pan option. if this app & mixer can’t get it done I will need to try another company’s mixer. Please fix this.

### 5/5 — not too bad

*2017-03-29*

I'm only using this rig to mix line signals. To that end it is a super performer. Very clean outs, good headroom on the pre's (for the people griping about no gain control, it says on the outside of the box that it has none) and the FX, EQ, and compression aren't a concern in this instance. The aux out is running a sub flying fader style. I run sound regularly and would not recommend this mixer outside a coffee house, bands should use something with a lot more flexibility in my opinion... get an Onyx

### 4/5 — So far so good

*2018-05-18*

I use this on solo gig. I sometimes need a few more inputs and it’s easy to use a bun mixer into the aux in. My only complaints are 1) the effects quality are less pristine than I would prefer. They are functional. It would be great if they were not global on each channel but that is not unusual for lower end mixers with fx. 2) the virtual faders are a bit jumpy
3) the patching options are limited so make sure you have the cables it needs. It does not have RCA. All in all, it’s a lot in a very mall footprint and the quality is competitive with analog mixers at the same price point.

### 4/5 — Great!

*2017-08-02, version 1.0*

Got my DX8 today. This is a great little app and mixer! I just wish that you could name the channels as in the Master Fader app, come on Mackie, surely this would be easy enough to include on an update!! It would also be useful to be able to set the screen to not auto-lock when the app is running as opposed to having to manually change the global setting each time. If Mackie added these features then this app would be perfect!!! However, as it stands it is still very good.

### 4/5 — Good App (but...)

*2017-06-25*

I was having a few issues with the connection between hardware and App, but it eventually worked.
You may have to turn off and on the ProDX for it to reinitialize. But after that it's fine.

### 4/5 — Luv it!

*2017-03-06, version 1.0*

Received my prodx8 today and it does what it says on the tin, love the reverbs. The App works fine and switching between the mixer and my backing tracks is no problem, would like to be able to name the channels or maybe a pic as in the HK nano 600i and bit of a pain accessing Bluetooth channel 7/8 as only the 6 main channels plus master on view. But all in all great product.

### 4/5 — Great, but needs pan

*2016-11-04*

The size of the ProDX8 and a phone to control it is crazy. Has sweepable mid-EQ, compression and effects. Pretty nice!
Desperately needs channel panning. You have L and R outputs, but no way to spread things out between them.
Thanks!

### 4/5 — App is pretty good except

*2016-06-19*

Ok I like this app a lot. 2 major issues and one minor!
1. This app needs gain knobs. We have two different bass amps we use with line outs and direct slur outs and the Amps have no control over output signal. Without a gain knob in this app, it red lines constantly and makes it unusable. Most pro mixers have gain knobs and this should be no different.
2. App needs panning option for instruments in some level just like regular mixers have.
3. Ok there are 3 memory settings that you can save so you can recall your settings later. This is cool, except we have different band members and areas we play at. I wish we could like name the instruments of particular channels. I have to use a notebook to remember which instrument goes to each channel in each preset. Just. An inconvenience.

If you can get over these 3 things, this app is superb! The prodx8 I have is an amazing device. I just hope that Maxie updates the app with the 3 issues I stated above cause I almost took the mixer back.
